Aoki vs Alex -2

"Minimal movement but devastating damage"

This was the main tactic that Alex uses.

It is a good tactic where Pokemon that were good at special attacks use their full potential without using too much stamina.

After the first round, Alex realized that that tactic will not work against someone like Aoki.

'I underestimated him too much'

In the crowd, Jill was surprised by the strength of Aoki's Pokemons.

"Misty how strong is his Nidorino among his other Pokemons?" she asked.

"Around 4th or 5th " Misty answered making Jill clench her fist.

After being defeated by Aoki in the finals last time she trained her Pokemon very hard.

But after today's match, she realized that the gap had widened even more.

Misty ignored Jill and looked at Aoki and thought,' He knows what Alex is going to do next.

Aoki had already looked through the recorded matches and can understand what Alex would choose next.

'The first one was a heavy hitter, the second will be a flexible one that can deal with my Pokemon.

He would save his strongest Pokemon for the last.'

Alex took out a Pokeball and called out his second Pokemon.

"Go Ninetales"

A Ninetales appeared on the field with her tails dancing in a beautiful pattern.

'Peak master rank female Ninetales.' Just from the color of its fur, Aoki could tell that the Pokemon was very healthy.

Aoki called back Nidorino as he wanted to give someone else a chance and sent out his next Pokemon.

'I will face speed with speed '

A golden Pigeotto around the size of a Pidgeot came out of his Pokeball earning a surprising grasp from a lot of people as they were seeing a golden Pigeotto for the first time.

Some people even confused it for a Pidgeot due to his giant size.

'Why is golden?' thought Alex. 'Well whatever color doesn't matter, I have to win this one and keep my pride as a gym leader and the pokemon league winner.

"Ninetales calm mind"

Pigeotto flapped his wings and turned into a blur, the next thing people saw was Ninetales' face smashed on the ground by the powerful feet of Pigeotto.

'What happened! How is a Pidgeotto this fast? Something is not right!'

Ninetales controlled herself and used extrasensory but Pidgeotto was already gone from her range.

"Ninetales energy ball and flamethrower combo"

Nine energy balls gathered on the tail of Ninetales while she fired a wave of flames all over the field.

"Pidgeotto hurricane"

Pidgeotto waved her powerful wings with such a force that the flamethrower was completely negated trapping Ninetales within a tornado.

"Ninetales get out of the tornado with Psychic Powers and use overheat"

The eyes of Ninetales's turned blue as she used overheating to increase the temperature of the entire field to a degree that the rocks started melting.

Ninetales used Dark pulse, Fireblast, and Flair Blitz but got equally strong wind-type attacks in return, especially the new move Wind Sphere that was made of condensed rotating wind blades.

This attack had caused large damage to Ninetales.

'Her flames are stronger than the Typhlosion' Aoki concluded.

'But not enough. Even though both of their energies are in master rank, Pidgeotto is way above Ninetales in terms of speed and power.'

"Pidgeotoo Air cutter and double team "

Instantly multiple copies of Pidgeotto formed all over the field and released air cutter at Ninetales.

Ninetales with psychic powers somehow managed to distinguish the real one but all her attacks were either getting negated or didn't hit.

Alex was completely baffled by the speed and power of the Pidgeotto.

He knew the destructive power his pokemon held by those attacks getting negated by such strong wind or completely missing was making all the effort meaningless.

Fortunately, the roof of the stadium was fireproof or it would have been destroyed by now.

The fight continued with Ninetailes increasing the speed of her attacks over time which made some of her attacks connect dealing damage to Pidgeotto but it was not enough to take him down.

Pidgeotto was going all out against her opponent. With constant training under Clefairy's full power gravity and Aoki's food had made her reach a speed no Pidgeotto could attain.

Continuously fighting against fire-type Pokemon like Charmeleon who would use any method to take down his opponent, Pidgeotto was used to fire-type attacks and how to lessen the impact.

So she knew how to break through Fire blasts and flamethrowers which would otherwise deal with massive damage to her.

Moreover the new attack ' Wind sphere ' was a huge boost to her attack power.

"Let's end this Pidgeotto Brave bird"

Pigeotto's body was enveloped in a blue glow as she instantly reached near Ninetales who managed to pull out Protect and Flare Blitz and somehow lessen the damage but slid back a couple of meters.

"She is near, Ninetales use fire blast "

"Finish the match, Pidegeotto use Giga impact"

Before Ninetales could use Fireblash, normal type energy burst out from Pidgeoto and exploded like a bomb.

The light was so bright that people had to cover their eyes.

Boom!

A loud explosion took place as Ninetales smashed into the wall of the gym forming a dent.

Jill covered her face with shock while Alex had a horrified expression.

"Ninetales... is unable to…. battle, Pidgeotto wins " the referee announced dumbfounded.
