"Son, why did you become catch happy all of a sudden? Lately, you seemed to have been avoiding getting any more Pokemon. At least not counting those you got from the academy and the egg we gave you." Dad asked curiously and I saw that mom was just as curious.
"Were they so great that you felt the need to catch them? Did your you-know-what give you a good feeling?" Mom asked what both thought.
I chose to see how they would look after the Utopia treatment first before answering her question, so I let out Mimikyu and Misdreavus inside one of the dark rooms inside my mansion. Since they were still paralyzed they did not know what happened before the process was done and I recalled them.
Due to me using non-marked Pokeballs to capture them because I did not want to bother releasing the artificial bond that would have been established otherwise, I could only see their "wild" status screen. Regardless, that was enough to see the important changes.

Mimikyu's potential was improved to blue and more impressive was that she managed to unlock a talent. Disguise Control allowed her to control the Disguise she wore as if it was part of her body, or rather an extension of her body.
Not bad at all if you ask me and definitely an upgrade compared to the regular Disguise which was only effective until the first bit of damage. Now, Mimikyu could keep using the disguise and only hits that managed to hit her real body could harm her even after the first hit.
Honestly, Misdreavus's potential elevated to light blue from green, but it seemed to pale a bit in front of Mimikyu's change.
Thankfully, all that took less than 30 seconds, so it only looked as if I was thinking about what to answer.
"They gave me a good feeling, so I thought it would be great if they joined us," I said out loud while expanding on that through telepathy.
'The Mimikyu, Misdreavus, and one of the Gastly felt as if they had 5-star potential, so I decided to capture them. The last two were caught because that was their condition to join us willingly.
Moreover, I'm not sure why, but the Mimikyu gives me an unusual feeling besides her potential I mean, so there probably is something special about her.
Anyway, I want the Gastly and I'll take care of the other Gastly as well as the Shuppet. I want mom to take in the Mimikyu and dad the Misdreavus. We were all missing a ghost type anyway.'
They just nodded with a smile to show their understanding. I took out the Pokeballs containing Mimikyu and Misdreavus, before giving them to mom and dad respectively.
The two directly pricked their fingers and went through the blood registration to take ownership of the Pokeballs, which also initiated the artificial bonding process.
The Rattata that had recovered from the paralysis by this time just vigilantly watched us since they saw us take away their opponents and that we were not eyeing their bounty.
Honestly, while I was considering if I should bag them for my farm in the subspace, I decided to leave them be for now. My parent's presence may have been a factor in that decision.
Regardless, we left the alley without bothering the Rattata and resumed our little search for a birthday gift. Mom dragged us through quite a few clothing stores before two hours later she suddenly seemed to have filled a quota only she knew. She nodded before she turned to us.
"I've looked through enough options and I think I know what we are going to buy for Rose." She dragged us to one of the stores we visited during the third hour of our search I think it was.
"Lil Moon is a really popular brand, that emerged from Alola, and the stores are willing to do custom adjustments to their products if they don't go against brand policies. Well, that and if one is willing to pay extra for the custom job." She explained while leading us to a certain section of the Moon's Designs store.
She led us to the hoodies before she chose 3 zip-up hoodies with different designs.
"I think your idea with her Pokemon the previous time was great, so how about we ask them to add them to these hoodies. I like their design and I'm sure the personal touch would make them even better." Mom said and we began discussing what to do.
After we agreed on what to do she called one of the store attendants and after a brief exchange, she began to explain what we wanted.
"We want two of this," she said holding up the thinnest hoodie.
"I want one to be in tawny brown and one in mint green. Both should have an Eevee the size of my fist on the chest," she said placing her fist on the hoodie where the heart would be, so on the left side. The right side had the Lil Moon logo on it, which was a full moon with a straw hat on it.
"The backside should have the picture of a Leafeon on it covering roughly 60-70% of it." The attendant who was nodding and making notes began asking questions once mom was done with the first set.
"Which kind of picture would you like to use for the Eevee and the Leafeon? Should we use a random one or is there one you want specifically?" She asked and mom pulled out her phone.
She searched for a while before she chose two that she showed the attendant who took out her own phone and found the same pictures before making some more notes. Once that was done they focused on the next set.
"I want two of this," she said holding up the sleekest hoodie before she went into details. "One should be in light coral red and one in amber yellow. Both should have a fist-sized Vulpix on the chest, and a Ninetales on the back."
She directly searched for the pictures she wanted which the attendant noted down as well. They both turned to the last hoodie which was the busiest of the three.
"Two of this as well. One should be in french rose pink, and one in lilac. Both should have a fist-sized Whismur on the chest, and an Exploud on the back."
After the pictures for those two were determined as well, the attendant went to the registry and began inputting things on her work computer.
"Alright, I entered the specifications and the total cost adds up to 950 Poke which includes the shipping cost. You need to pay 20%, so 190 Poke have to be paid upfront. Do you want to confirm the purchase?"
She asked and mom was the one to confirm the purchase. Dad just stood to the side and nodded to show his agreement.
"Great! I've sent in the request, and the finished hoodies should arrive by either Mewday or Giratiday. We'll send you a message as soon as they arrive and you can pick it up as well as pay the rest of the bill."
Dad pulled out a 200-Poke bill, to settle the down payment, and told the attendant she could keep the change for being polite as well as helpful. The attendant thanked him, handed the receipt over to mom, and we left.
While we were leaving mom decided to hand over the receipt to me.
"We'll be away when the hoodies arrive, so you'll have to be the one to pick them up." I acknowledged that and put away the receipt.
Once we left the store it was my turn to drag my parents around, so I took hold of their hands and dragged them to one of the grooming stores we came across during our previous search.
I bought a few empty lotion bottles and when they asked me why I bought empty ones I told them I was planning to fill the bottles with lotions made by Mr. Tsukababishi.
While we were in the grooming supply store dad decided to buy a set for his Dratini, since it was recommended to take special care of them until they evolve to Dragonair. He had already acquired the recommended lotion, so he just bought some extra brushes, pliers, and cloths.
Well, it seemed it was once more mom's turn to drag us around since she got ahold of us as soon as we left the store and led us towards one of the fabric stores.
When I noticed where she was directing us I told her about the high-end fabric store I previously visited. Mom considered my suggestion and decided to accept it since she had apparently heard of the store before. It seemed to enjoy a good reputation.
She asked me to lead us there, so I did. Once we entered mom called over one of the attendants and told her what she had in mind. She wanted to make a new disguise cosplay for her Mimikyu.
So, she needed some fabrics in the color scheme of Pikachu along with a hard leather part for the tail. Besides the standard Pikachu cosplay, she asked for a set of fabrics for a Teddiursa, and Munchlax costume.
The attendant pulled out a few fabric examples and mom began searching for the one she liked the most. It was important to note that besides color, and feeling the tenacity as well as toughness was important as well since Mimikyu was going to use them during fights.
Once she made her choice regarding the fabric and the leather, she explained what she wanted the costume to look like. They made a sketch together that would then be handed over to the store seamstress or tailor.
She specified the dimensions as well before the attendant made a cost estimate, but she mentioned that there was a 15% margin upwards in case the work was costlier than initially assumed.
Mom agreed and the attendant asked for a 20% prepayment, which was 130.900 Poke since the cost estimate came up as 654.500 Poke. That included the cost of the fabric and the estimated labor time of the seamstress/tailor.
Mom chose to pay the down payment digitally, but they slipped the attendant a hundred Poke bill for her services. After finishing the payment procedure we left and went back to Aldini's restaurant for dinner.
Afterward, we returned home, we just relaxed for an hour before everyone began focusing on getting to know their newbies. I wished my parents goodnight and went upstairs to my room.
After locking my door I entered Utopia, where I proceeded to mark Gastly's Pokeball with my blood to go through the registration process. I felt the establishment of the artificial bond, and after that was done I called him out. He went through the Utopia special as soon as he appeared.
Afterward, I introduced him to Utopia and emphasized the importance of keeping its existence to himself. I made sure he knew that he should explain the situation to the other two as well.
I then called out the other two and after they went through the upgrade as well, I together with Gastly explained to them their new situation. Following that, I called everyone over and introduced him to them and we did our traditional photo shot.
First with only the main team and after that with everyone in the main space, so that they did not feel too left out. Well, everyone except for the Magikarp.
After everyone settled down, I chose to check their new status. The potential of both Shuppet and the female Gastly got raised to deep yellow, aside from that nothing else had changed.
Well, I was at first a bit surprised at Newcomer Gastly's age, but his status on the other hand was more or less as I expected it to be once I took his age into account.

His move mastery was roughly where I expected it to be. Actually, it was a bit better than I expected it to be, considering that he was four. Also, seeing as he had raised Hypnosis all the way up to advance I would say it was no secret what his most used move was.
Well, his potential was raised to Blue and the percentage was pretty nice as well, so he would be elevated straight to light purple once he broke through to the silver stage with a complete limit break.
