Mewtwo

Mewtwo was different from other three legendries; Mewtwo lacked compassionate heart because of it's past.

And its only thinking of how to defeat its foes makes it even more powerful Pokemon.

Vidal made a very important decision before starting the battle, and its result might not be bad.

"Everyone listen to me carefully. It is very important to play your roles in the battle perfectly." Vidal shouted.

"Alakazam will be staying as a rearguard; you will look over all of them. And try to decrease the power of any psychic moves thrown towards other Pokemon."

"Starmie you are the fastest so you will try to find a chance to hit it with your strongest attack."

"Dragonite, you will be the Vanguard. You will lead the battle and try to make close contact."

"Arcanine will backup Dragonite and Gengar will backup Starmie, but don't hamper their movements."

Fighting a psychic, Gengar would have been a great opponent but with its current strength it was futile to let directly battle Mewtwo.

"Dragonite you are initiating the attack. Let's go." With the shout of Vidal the battle started.

Starmie has already vanished leaving Gengar behind, Arcanine followed Dragonite from the ground, and Alakazam was keeping eye on Mewtwo.

Giovanni was full of smiles looking at the situation. But as soon as the battle started, he felt something bad was about to happen.

"Arcanine prepare for overheat, and you don't have conserve anything."

Body of Arcanine started to cover in flames, speed increased and charged towards Mewtwo.

"Now Arcanine."

Arcanine opened its mouth, and a white beam of light covered in spinning fire was released.

But with just by putting the hand forward, an invisible shield was created to protect Mewtwo from the over heat.

When the flames dissipated, Mewtwo waved his hands to lift Arcanine with its psychic and threw him.

Alakazam was already prepared with his Psychic, Arcanine was caught mid-air not letting to take any damage. Arcanine joined the battle again.

Arcanine gave enough time for Dragonite to close the distance and use Mega Punch.

When the Mega punch struck the shield of Mewtwo, it produced a shockwave enough to shake the ground. But there was no effect on the shield.

"Alakazam pull her now," Vidal said.

Alakazam used its psychic to pull Dragonite from the vicinity of Mewtwo.

The protective shield should be breached if he wanted to let any of his Pokemons attack to have some effects.

Unexpectedly, Gengar was able to sneak through the dark, and appear in the back of Mewtwo, even passing through the protective shield.

"There might be a chance," Vidal said, then Gengar made his move, "Now, there is no chance…."

Gengar of all things used Lick on the armor of the Mewtwo.

But it was enough to startle Mewtwo for a moment, and Starmie was able to make his move.

A hydro pump of 12 ft. diameter was able to made contact with the Armor of Mewtwo.

Bang!

The Gym shook again. Giovanni face became dark.

The Hydro pump was able to create a huge hole again, but the effect on Mewtwo was zero.

Mewtwo was floating above the hole, it looked pissed.

Finally, Mewtwo started going on offensive.

A white spinning ball of energy gathered in the palm of Mewtwo; One Aura Sphere after another was released by Mewtwo towards his Pokemon.

"Gengar return…." The one with the lowest speed was directly returned to avoid any injuries.

Alakazam and Starmie have no problem dodging the Aura spheres…. Dragonite and Arcanine were able to keep up after countering the spheres with their own moves and sometimes dodging.

Just after two minutes, gym was in ruins from the relentless attack of Mewtwo and his Pokemons.

"Alakazam how is your state of mind? Are you ready yet?" Vidal has instructed Alakazam to start using calm mind from the beginning of battle.

"Ala..kazam," It was yes from Alakazam.

"Arcanine return… Take a good rest buddy."

Now, his Pokemons are getting tired, the battle needed to be concluded fast, and it was just about to hit the third minute.

The preparation was complete; Mewtwo was fully focused on attack only.

Starmie Hydro pump has stopped, Dragonite was quite distance from Mewtwo.

Now, Alakazam was fully focused on using calm mind, leaving Starmie and Dragonite on their own.

And after the situation got worse, both Dragonite and Starmie were being tossed around the gym by the psychic of Mewtwo.

"Alakazam, now tear that armor apart. And don't touch the body of Mewtwo. Be precise."

Alakazam whole body started to glow, and suddenly the movements of Mewtwo halted.

Crackk…. Crackkk….

Little by little the armor on Mewtwo cracked and finally torn apart, leaving Mewtwo naked(not in a literal sense).

And with that Alakazam was also exhausted with just one move, but he was able to break through the psychic shield of Mewtwo, which was great achievement.

'Looks like not attacking Mewtwo directly was the right choice.' Vidal saw the flickering eyes of Mewtwo.

"Everyone come back." Vidal said.

Now, Mewtwo was out of armor staring at Vidal, obviously there were no emotions.

"It seems your hatred towards humans hasn't decrease over these years. And it is understandable." Vidal looked at Giovanni.

"So what are you plans now," Vidal looked in the eyes of Mewtwo.

Mewtwo lifted its hands towards Vidal; Dragonair, Starmie and Alakazam immediately came forward.

"You guys don't have to worry. He just wanted to say hi," Vidal looked at Mewtwo again, "Isn't that right Mewtwo?" Vidal hadn't pushed Mewtwo far enough to be attacked directly.

Then a voice resounded in the gym, "You are peculiar human that I have seen in many years. You seem to know everything about me, and yet no interest in me and my powers."

With that said Mewtwo glanced at Vidal one more time and shot towards the sky leaving the gym.

Vidal took a long breath, 'Well; only Ash got the heart to influence the heart of other Pokemon. So you have to wait to meet him in the future.' He looked at the Mewtwo disappearing in the sky.

"You, What have you done?" Giovanni screamed.

"It would have sooner or later. So, don't scream like a little baby who lost his toy. Give me my badge." Vidal said back.

"Badge, why would I give you the badge," Giovanni said with solemn face.

"Well, Mewtwo was your Pokemon and he had left the match. Doesn't that make me the winner?" Vidal answered calmly.

Giovanni threw the badge fuming with anger and left the gym.

Vidal came out followed by Gary and the girls.

"Brother, your Pokemons and that Pokemon. How?" Gary mind was blown by the battle that he saw just now.

"Oh that was a rare Pokemon. And what about my Pokemon, you want to battle them again." Vidal asked.

"NO.. No…" Gary shook his head.

"Well, than I am heading home. If you met Ash, tell him I am returning back home."

Gary nodded.

Vidal went towards Pokecenter to heal his Pokemons and feed them some good treats.

'Would I have chance to defeat Mewtwo if I had used those three?' Vidal contemplated.

Things could have gone many ways, from complete team wipe in seconds to Mewtwo going mad.

The battle also gave him vague idea on the power difference between Mewtwo and other three legendries.

Seeing the development of his own Pokemons, Vidal could only rejoice and the true potential of Dragonite hasn't been reached yet.

It was finally time to head back home.
