Xyno got even more confused. What is Demon type?

Regina told him that Sett is Flying and Dark Type so why it shows differently with his skill.

(Maybe humans here mistake some type as other due to lack of knowledge) He thought.

He was getting goosebumps just thinking about how exciting applications of this skill is. He immediately checked his skills.

*SKILL: Eye Of Identity (Lvl 1)*

Identify all things in existence. Everything in existence is recorded. The more knowledge the user has, the more information can be obtained. Failure to identify increases for stronger individuals.

*SKILL: Elemental Chaos Body (Lvl 1)*

The body made from primal chaos. It is capable of containing multiple types of energies without conflict. User can master all elements in existence.

Xyno looks over at Sett and Sett looks at him as well. They both feel like they have a special connection with each other. Sett jumps onto him and hugs him. Xyno gets curious and leaves his room with Sett to go see Regina in her lab. He knew she would not be sleeping and rather would be in the lab. When he enters the lab he notices Regina checking Sett's report.

"Oh, you didn't fall asleep yet? You want me to sleep with you after all?" Regina teases Xyno as she notices him.

"Not happening. Anyway, do you know about a type named Demon-type?" Xyno asks Regina.

"Demon-type? No, I have never heard of anything like that. Though I did find something unusual. Sett's element is Dark-type, but it feels odd as the energy is not exactly the same as Dark-types have. It's like there is some other type."

(She must be referring to the Demon-typing. They really can't see the true typing. And I can because of my 'Eye Of Identity'. This skill is really something. I can appraise anything if I concentrate enough.)

"This type of strange is energy is similar to what legendaries radiate. Take Mew for example, according to the studies Mew has Psychic typing. But Mew radiates different magical energy than other psychic types. But we could not find out what the strange energy emitted was, so Mew was declared to have Psychic typing." Regina adds.

Suddenly Regina notices something.

"You seem different from before. Wait….. have you perhaps formed a link with Sett?" Regina asks Xyno.

"Yeah when I called Sett's name he started glowing." Xyno replied.

"Let me do a checkup on your body. Go on and lie on the magic wave facilitator." Regina tells Xyno to go and lie on the machine.

She runs a magic wave scan of Xyno's body and gets shocked upon seeing that Xyno has already made a link with Sett.

"What?! You already have a proper link established with Sett without a Pokeball. But how is this possible? There were only mentions of people establishing a special bond with Pokemon in the ancient texts but to think that you can make such a link without knowledge is incomprehensible."

"One of the mentions of such links in ancient times is from nearly 1200 years ago of a hero named Sir Aaron with his Lucario. He was a master-class figure"

"So I did something so grand unknowingly?" Xyno was amazed at the information.

"Not only that but you have already reached Tier 1" Regina adds.

"So what are these Tiers anyway?" Xyno asks.

Regina carefully explains. "In Astra, most of the people stay at Tier 0 but if you want to become a proper trainer you have to upgrade to tier 1 atleast. Only by battling and forming strong bonds and familiar ship with your Pokemon, you can enter the Tier levels. Normally you need to make a 5 % link with the Pokemon to enter Tier 1 and be recognized as a trainer."

"There must be some benefits of transcending the Tiers." Xyno marvels.

"Of course there are." Regina giggles and explains.

"Ascending the Tiers is like going one step up in evolution. Whenever you form a link with a Pokemon, the feedback energy from them will make some major changes to your body. Not only it makes you physically more resilient and stronger, it also increases your resistance against diseases. If you ascend to Tier 3 or above even your life span is prolonged."

"So what Tier are you at, Regina?" Xyno asks curiously.

"You may know in the future." Regina smiles.

Regina kept explaining various things about Tiers and how to ascend between the ranks of the Tier system.

Tier system was something from ancient times. No one knew who developed it but it brought various types of powers and conveniences to Human lives. There are a total of 8 Tiers discovered till not in Astra. To become an Elite, you should atleast be Tier 5 and all the Champions are Tier 6 or 7.

Tier 8 is the ultimate form of human evolution, also known as master-class. It is rumored that master-class humans can have life spans up to a thousand years.

Xyno was still in a daze from all the amazing information he got about the tier system. Although he already knew some things but there are many technical things that Regina explained that were not mentioned in any books. He also realized that how much this world is different from the Anime. Not only humans can become stronger than even Pokemons, but there are also people that have lived for hundreds of years.

Xyno was now even more determined to become a very strong Pokemon trainer and reach the master class. But he knew that he also needs knowledge and experience before starting his journey. Infact most of the trainers in this world started their journey at the age of 15 or 16.

After having some serious discussion with Regina for a couple more hours, Xyno noticed that it is already the break of dawn.

"You need to seriously hide the thing that you can make links with Pokemons without the need of Pokeballs. So it is advisable that you catch Sett within a Pokeball." Regina then presents Xyno with a Pokeball that was fully black in color but had red stripes at the corners and had a red button at the center.

"Here, take it. It is an experimental Pokeball prototype made by one of my colleagues."

Xyno takes the ball in his hand and asks. "So, what's so special about this ball?"

Regina smiles and replies, "This Pokeball is very suited for Dark-types and similar Pokemons, you can say that it is much better than your average ultra ball in the market."

Xyno was amazed at the relevation and his eyes widened because he knew how precious this Pokeball is.

The choice of a Pokeball is very important for a trainer. Most of the trainers make do with regular Pokeballs available in the market, but such balls are uncomfortable for the Pokemons and hinder their growth. A Pokeball's living environment is a very vital aspect of training a Pokemon.

Inside a Pokeball, a Pokemon can heal automatically when injured and also hibernates in it. So even normal Ultra Balls in the market are too expensive. From the knowledge he gathered, the cost of a high-quality Ultra Ball can reach as much as half a million Pokedollars. Pokedollar is the common currency used within the Yannan continent. 1 Pokedollar is roughly equal to 1 USD.

So it can be imagined that this Pokeball must atleast be 2-3 million Pokedollars in cost, that is if you can buy it in a market. Xyno gave a charming smile to Regina and thanked her for the Pokeball. He then asked that "Hey Sett. Would you like to adventure with me from now on?".

Sett nods happily.

Xyno then presses the button of the Pokeball against Sett's head and catches him. The Pokeball blinks 3 times and from now on Sett is our Hero's first Pokemon and partner.

"You have to take good care of Sett from now on. He may become a really powerful Pokemon in the future."

"Ok I will take a nap for a couple of hours before morning. And sorry for taking your time." Xyno yawns and replies casually and leaves the lab.

"Anytime for you darling~"

(Thinks have become interesting. Let's see what new surprises you bring in the future Xyno.) Regina thins inwardly and proceeds to sleep herself after locking the lab's door.

So this day embarked the start of the majestic journey, of the strongest Pokemon master in history.
