dio made his way back to the waiting area where grandpa sho and Edward was . grandpa sho looked at him walking over and from his face he was not happy with the surprise .
" you don't seem happy you did not wanted this pokemon " grandpa sho asked as dio arrived .
" naa its not that as I haven't seen which pokemon it is yet. I just wanna know why " dio questions grandpa sho he knows his grandpa had his reasons he was a just a little sore because things did not go the way he envisioned them .
" okay here read this first , we will talk about the rest in the car , we have to go meet someone "
grandpa sho handed dio a letter as he stood up and Edward went to get the car after the car arrived they both took there seats and Edward drove away from the league building.
dio was on the back seat reading the letter his grandpa gave him . its an official letter from the league signed by the chairman .

i was in the back garden of the house doing my morning practice with Dragonite and grandpa .
" haa haa "
I was currently punching away towards Dragonite but he is casually blocking my punches with his palms .
" dio I wanna ask a question " suddenly grandpa said .
" ask away " I replied as I carried on with the punches .
" what do you think of dragon pokemon "
grandpa asked astounding me a little.
" they are the strongest type overall although they have weaknesses like the second evolution of most dragon type takes away there ability to battle to a big extent as it is more of a hibernation stage simlar to some bug types . why the sudden question though " I asked to know why this topic suddenly came up and as I said that Dragonite become a little proud of himself.

" it just a debate that has been active for years in the league and in the world even. some people believe dragon type to be the absolute best and alot of people do not agree with that notion just wanted to know what you thought about it "
grandpa said . I have also seen these kinds of fourms and videos online some just prasing the Dragon types and some debunking them . on both sides there are people who have actual valid point but allot them are just shiiting on the topic .
" well the reality is diffrent from trainer to trainer you had Dragonite but still you could not defeat prof. oaks charziard on multiple occasions. you have lost more than ten times and won only twice "
grandpa just went silent not wanting to say anything . I just pressed the weak point . dragnite hit me on the head also not liking the example .
" sorry Dragonite you are strong i was just giving an example . for the people that believe dragon types to be the absolute best there have already been trainers that have proved that wrong and the biggest example of this is lance he is an exceptionally amazing dragon type trainer .But he was unable to beat Blue and for the people who hate dragon types they would jump on a chance to get a dragon type pokemon because if its a fight between a Dragonite and a Blastois and the trainer is not Blue then 8 out of 10 times the Dragonite is gonna win ( if they both are on the same power rank ) .so the conclusion of the entire argument is that there can be a strong dragon type or a weak dragon type it just depends on the trainer . any pokemon could become exponentially strong depending on the trainer a bug type can beat a dragon type in the right circumstances ." I said giving my thoughts on this whole debate .
" everything you said is true but previously people used to have such a strong obsession with dragon types that they would do anything to get a hold of one . a lot of rich people previously used to buy dragon eggs although they were able to raise them but they could not control them when they reached there final evolution. because a dragon type only follows someone who he deems worthy otherwise he would leave you thats why when theey try to forcefully keep them it led to allot of destruction there have been cases like these in the past that's why allot of common people fear and hate dragon types . "
grandpa said which surprised me because i did not knew about these things no information of this was available online , the league might have silenced every online thread that talked about these things because it puts them, the corporates or rich families who bought the pokemon egg as well as the dragon types in bad light .
" i thought it was just a matter of opinions i did not knew such things have happened now the hate of some of those people seem justified . but still just because of some incidents you cannot label all of them as dangerous and hate them for it . it was not entirely there fault either " l said. as I saw Dragonite making an uncomfortable face hearing all of this .
" you can not .I know but it is how society works .
now that you know all this have your view of Dragonite changed " grandpa asked me becoming all serious . Dragonite became a little sad after hearing grandpa's question as he looked towards me .
" just because a random Dragonite goes rouge .
I will never hate you for that " I said making Dragonite and grandpa smile . if I was a child that have not seen a dragon pokemon and have not interacted with one of them after hearing all of this my view might been a little shaky regarding Dragonite . but nor I am a child and also I have experienced firsthand how good of a companion Dragonite is .
" i expected that from you " grandpa said
" so was this a test " I asked . granpa have done this kind of thing multiple times when he wants to teach me something .
" something like that and I also wanted you to know that you might like something which other people hate . but fighting with them for not agreeing with you is not the solution, you should
see both sides of the coin " grandpa replied confirming my conjecture .
" grandpa what if there is a type that can counter dragon type pokemon " i asked schoking grandpa with my question .
" what are you saying. if there was a type that could do that it will cause a huge turmoil in the world " grandpa said as he stood up to go inside .
" well there is one fairy type " I replied as grandpa
thought over this a little . the only pokemon that are currently known as fairy types is clefa and jigglypuff and both of them are not used for battles .
" on what are you basing this off " grandpa said as he became a little interested in my theory .
" my personal reserch " I said but grandpa just shook his head and started walking back inside .
" when did you do that , if you are that confident then go file a report to the league " grandpa said as he left . although I can tell he said it as a joke but I am gonna do it . I would have done it without him telling me but I was afraid if thing went sideways I would be facing mom's wrath but now I can shove all the blame on grandpa .

" this is about the report I submitted on the fairy pokemon after you asked me " dio said . he wrote a report as he planned and send it to league under grandpa name so they would take it seriously .
" yes and it got approved , I thought you were just joking " grandpa sho said . he thought what dio said at that time was not something that would be practical, but how wrong he was .
" how can it be approved without going through practical testing and proper reserch " dio said . confused because his report was more like a suggestion with allot of things that has to be tested .
" well all of that already happened . the project your mom was working on it was this one " grandpa sho said eliminating dio's doubt.
" that explains alot " dio said . as he understood why his mom was so stressed about this project because he was involved in it to some extent .
" yes since the day you submitted the report things became very chaotic in the leagues reserch division although 80% of the people did not agree with what you wrote . because it lacked concrete proofes but the rest 20% became a little skeptical because it was a theory that could be right so league decided to act on it, because it was a report under my name the league decided to give this project to your mother and after she talked to me about it . I told her it was you so she asked me not to tell you anything until the project is done and that is why I did not talk about it before " grandpa sho explained the entire situation.
" this pre-registration is a gift from the league i guess then "dio asked as he connected the dots of his report and his pre-registering .
" sort of , it is a gift ment to test you " grandpa sho said creating another mystery after the first one was uncoverd .

dio followed grandpa sho inside . grandpa sho and dio were greeted by the servents who led them upstairs to the balcony where an old guy was sitting sipping tea he got up after sensing them coming then greeted grandpa sho .
" been a while han Amos " he is a short old man only a few inches taller than dio . he has black eyes white hair which are hidden under his blue cap long white beard he looks to be in his 60s right now he is wearing blue shorts and a Hawaiian shirt with green sandals .
" yes it has been a while " grandpa sho replied as they shook there hands .
" take a seat " the old guy said as he told his servernt to leave we both took a seat around the table .
" your dio right quite a turmoil you have caused "
the old guy asked as he looked towards dio .
" its nothing elder Charles " dio replied making Charles goodshaw a little surprised.
Charles goodshaw is the guy that sits at the height position in the league. he is the sole chairman of the pokemon league
" you know me " Charles asked because the last time he was public that was 10 years ago.
" who doesn't know you " dio replied he has seen his old photos but more importantly he has seen him in the anime .
" did you like the gift i send you " Charles asked he was the one who made the pre-registration of the pokemon as a gift for dio from the league .
" well he has yet to open the pokeball " grandpa sho said making Charles confused.
" why " Charles asked confused at my choice of not opening the pokeball .
" i wanted my first pokemon through the lottery because I did not wanted to make the choice and
subconsciously put my expectations on him but now that the choice is already made for me . I don't know what to do " dio spoke his reason of not opening the pokeball .
" i understand what you feel but don't you think you are not giving the guy a chance who knows he might be a pokemon that would build your expectations for him as he grows and surpass them at some point . and one more thing being a trainer does not mean having a strong pokemon its about making a true friend that listens to you and will die for you " Charles explained giving dio a new perspective to look through.
" I understand , know matter which pokemon it is I will accept him " dio said as all this time he was unconsciously anxious about him not being strong . because as a guy who reincarnated he wanted to be the strongest and wanted strong pokemon for that although this world and his grandpa changed his ideology allot but a part of him always carved for strength .
" open the pokeball then " Charles said to which dio complied he took out the pokeball from his pocket pressed the button to open it .
the pokeball became shiny and a beam of light came out of it which morphed into a pokemon .
