9. Viridian City and Team Rocket

(A/N: About Shu's clothing, he doesn't have the tie, his black sleeveless vest? is a lot more longer and reaches his waist and his red glove doesn't have the box like thing and is like the normal fingerless glove.)

Shu is kneeling on the ground with the silver wing in his hand as he is looking at it along with Nidoran with wide eyes. They shared a glance before Shu raised the silver wing as it glowed giving it a lustrous glow as they both gazed at it.

"It's really a silver wing. Can you believe it Nidoran, it's a silver wing from Lugia." Shu said with amazement as he looked at Nidoran.

"Nido?" The Blue Nidoran just tilted his head in confusion.

Nidoran has only been with Shu for a week so he doesn't know much about what he studied. The only thing the Pokemon understood was that it was a brilliant Pokemon they had seen and it's wing is really special and beautiful. Shu realized it as he sweat dropped with a smile.

"I forgot I didn't teach you much. Well, Ash should be on his way to Viridian City, let's go as well." Shu said as he stood up and put the Silver Wing in his coat pocket.

'I should find a case to put it as well.' Shu thought to himself before he looked at Nidoran.

Nidoran cried in agreement before Shu grabbed him and his eyes glowed. Then the two vanished and then appeared at the place where Ash had been fished out by Misty. Shu looked a bit exhausted due to the constant use of his psychic powers.

'Man, Sabrina makes it look easy. Then again she was a genius and has been training her psychic abilities her whole life, not to mention split herself in half and has much more time training her powers so I guess it's a given.' Shu thought to himself with a sigh.

(A/N: He is self taught so I don't think he can become as strong as Sabrina without any talent.)

He then placed Nidoran on the ground as said Pokemon looked at his trainer.

"Let's go to Viridian City and meet up with Ash." Shu said to which his Nidoran cried in agreement.

Then the two started to run towards the city using the road. Nidoran has been trained by Shu so he is able to keep up with him as trainer and Pokemon ran towards their destination.

Time skip

"Finally, we reached Viridian City." Shu said as they had reached the outskirts of the city.

Shu saw officer Jenny's post and seeing that he sighed in relief since it means that he is almost at Viridian City.

"Alright Nidoran, just a bit more and we will be in Viridian City, there we'll meet up with Ash and Pikachu." Shu said to his Pokemon.

Nidoran cried in agreement before the two of them ran on the road. They met officer Jenny but she let them go after asking a few questions. It took a few minutes but they managed to see the Pokemon centre and ran towards it before they entered the centre. Inside Shu saw Ash talking with Misty while he bicycle which has been roasted in on the ground.

'Well, now I've seen what a roasted bicycle looks like.' Shu thought to himself with a small smile.

"Ash, glad you're okay." Shu said as he walked to the two trainers.

Both of them turned to look at him with surprise before Ash's face morphed into a happy one.

"Shu, you're alright. I thought you would be hurt by the Spearow's." Ash said with a big smile.

"Don't underestimate us Ash, me and Nidoran are quite tough you know. Right Nidoran?" Shu said with a smile as he looked at his partner.

"Nido!" Nidoran cried in agreement with his trainer's words.

"Aww, it's a cute Nidoran. Hello Nidoran it's nice to meet you." Misty said as she kneeled in front of him.

"Nido." Nidoran cried with a happy smile.

"I'm happy you like my buddy so much. He is my partner and starter Pokemon." Shu said with a smile.

"Wait he? But I thought a blue Nidoran is a girl." Misty said confused at his words.

"Yes well, my Nidoran is a different colour than the usual one. He has a longer horn which signifies his gender as well." Shu said to her.

Misty in response looked at Nidoran's horn and saw that it is indeed much more longer and larger than a female Nidoran.

"So he really is a boy. Wow, he must be a rare Pokemon then." Misty said as she scratched Nidoran's chin.

Nidoran enjoyed it as he smiled at the affection that he is being shown.

"Yes he is. By the way, you didn't tell me your name. My name is Shu, I'm a new trainer from Pallet Town who had just started on my journey. I aim to become a Pokemon Master. Of course, the attack from the Spearow's kind of caused a problem." Shu said before scratching his cheek.

"Yeah well, they are known for being very angry so i guess it's a given. My name is Misty, I'm a water type trainer and I love water types. I'm currently on my journey to become a water Pokemon Master!" Misty announced with a smile.

'Though I would've liked it without having my bike broken like this.' Misty thought to herself as she glanced at her bicycle.

"Hey don't leave me out. I'm Ash from Pallet Town, his friend and I had also started my journey. I'm also trying to become a Pokemon Master!" Ash announced happily.

"Frankly I think Shu here has more of a chance at becoming a Pokemon Master than you." Misty said as she gave Ash the stink eyes.

"Hey that was uncalled for!" Ash shouted in anger at that.

"You destroyed my bike. I can say what I want!" Misty said angrily as she glared at him.

"Alright alright, Ash what about Pikachu?" Shu asked him as he wanted to know the state of the Pokemon.

"Oh well Nurse Joy is taking care of him right now. I don't know how he is." Ash said with a sad look.

This caused Misty to stop as she didn't say anything while Shu just nodded to him with an understanding smile.

"Don't worry, Nurse Joy has been doing this job for a long time so we can trust her for Pikachus safety." Shu said to him.

"He's right. If there's anyone who can bring back a Pokemon to its full health it's Nurse Joy without a doubt." Misty said agreeing with the trainer.

"You're right. Pikachu is in good hands." Ash said to them with a smile.

That was when the light on the operation theatre turned off alerting the trainers as they looked at the door. It then opened as Nurse Joy wheeled out Pikachu with a Chansey who wore a nurse cap. The three trainers made their way to Pikachu as they looked at him.

"Pikachu!" Ash said in a worried tone as he looked at the Pokemon as Shu and Misty looked at the Pokemon with worried looks.

'Despite what I know, it's still not a good feeling to see Pikachu hurt like this.' Shu thought to himself as he looked at the Pokemon.

"Pika." Pikachu slowly said as he opened his eyes and looked at his trainer.

"Pikachu is alright, he just needs a bit of rest is all." Nurse Joy said to him with a smile.

"What did I tell you? Pikachu is alright now." Shu said with a smile when he saw that.

"Yeah, you were right." Ash said with a smile.

But further conversations had to be stopped when the speaker in the Pokemon Centre activated and Officer Jenny issued a warning about Pokemon thieves in the city and asked the people to be vigilant.

At the same time over the Pokemon centre a giant Meowth balloon was floating towards the centre and was on top of it. It belongs to none other than the infamous trio of Pokemon as they were looking at the Pokemon centre.

"Looks like they finally noticed us." Jessie said in a haughty tone.

"How dare they call us thieves. They should welcome Team Rocket." James said in a haughty tone.

"In due time they will call us by that." Jessie said in the same tone.

"Meowth! And when we steal their Pokemon's those rats will know that we are the top gang!." A talking Meowth said as he stood in the basket.

"We know Meowth, we know." The two of them said as they took out their Pokeball's.

"Ekans! Koffing! Attack!" They threw their Pokeball's at the Pokemon centre.

The Pokeballs went down which went through the the glass roofing in the space of the giant P and fell into the Pokemon centre catching the attention of the group as they looked at the two Pokeball's. Said Pokeballs fell down and opened as an Ekans and a Koffing came out of it.

(A/N: Do any of you know Ekans and Koffing's gender? If so then please comment.)

"Koffing!" Koffing created it's signature smokescreen as it covered the centre.

"What is this?" Ash said alarmed.

"Trouble that's what." Shu said as Nidoran got ready to fight.

"Seems like one of you knows what is happening." Jessie's voice came from the smoke as her and her teams silhouettes can be seen.

"We will tell you who we are." James said hidden by the smoke.

"Prepare for trouble!" Jessie.

"Make it double!" James.

"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie.

"To unite all people's within our nation!" James.

"To denounce the evils of Truth and Love!" Jessie.

"To extend our reach to the stars above!" James.

"Jessie!" Jessie.

"James!" James.

"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!" Jessie.

"Surrender now or prepare to fight!" James.

"Meowth! That's right!" Meowth said jumping and standing between them with Ekans and Koffing to either trainer's side.

(A/N: This will be the only time I'll be writing the motto. If the motto changes then I will write it again. Until then I won't write their motto.)

"I still don't understand." Ash said confused.

"Stupid boy! What we mean is that we are going to steal all the precious Pokemon." Jessie said as she looked at them.

"I won't let you steal Pikachu!" Ash said as he stood over Pikachu protectively.

"Naive boy we don't need your Pikachu. We're only here for special Pokemon's." James said with a smug look.

"The only Pokemon's here are injured one's so you won't find any special ones." Nurse Joy said to them.

"Maybe not. But there is a chance that there might be one here." Jessie said not backing down.

"Hey wait a minute. It's a blue male Nidoran standing at that white haired twerps feet." Meowth said as he noticed Nidoran.

"Wait really!? A different coloured Nidoran, now that's a Pokemon that is special." Jessie said surprised.

"It looks like we are in luck. Ekans! Koffing! Attack that Nidoran!" James said before ordering the two.

The Pokemon complied and went to attack Nidoran as Shu got ready.

"Nidoran dodge Ekans and use Peck on Koffing!" Shu ordered to his Pokemon.

"Nido!" Nidoran complied as he dodged Ekans and used Peck on Koffing staggering the airborne Pokemon for a bit.

"Now use Confusion on Ekans and send him to Koffing!" Shu said to him.

Nidoran used Confusion as Ekans was covered in a light blue light and lifted off the ground before being thrown at Koffing. Both Pokemon tumbled down and layed on the ground a bit dizzy from hitting eachother.

"Run!" Shu said to the other's.

They then ran away from the trio who were now angry at how their Pokemon's were defeated.

"Ekans! Koffing! Get up and chase after them! You too Meowth!" Jessie said before telling Meowth.

"Meowth! Why should I?" Meowth asked her.

"Because you're a Pokemon! Now go!" James said as he picked up Meowth and threw him at the direction that Shu and the other's ran.

"Fine fine. Let's go you two." Meowth said as he along with Ekans and Koffing ran to find the kids.

But the group had managed to enter the Pokeball room before they could see so the three Pokemon's went right past the door.

"Looks like we are fine for now." Shu said as he sighed.

'Having Nidoran fight against three Pokemon at once is not a good thing. After he has become stronger then I will let him fight like that. Though it looks like Nidoran has caught their eyes which is not surprising considering that he is a shiny.' Shu thought to himself.

"That was quick thinking Shu." Misty said with a smile.

"Yeah, I'm glad it worked." Shu said to her.

But then the electricity of the centre went out causing the group a bit of distress. But then Nurse Joy took the help of the Pikachus in the centre to get the electricity back on.

"So many Pikachus." Ash said surprised with a smile.

"Aww, they're so cute." Misty said gushing over their cuteness.

Meanwhile Shu called out Mankey who jumped a bit before looking at its trainer.

"Hey Mankey, sorry that I have to call you out like this. But we need your help in fighting some enemies." Shu said to his Pokemon.

"Mankey! Man Mankey!" Mankey said jumping happily.

"So you don't mind, thanks." Shu said with a smile.

"You caught a new Pokemon?" Ash said before he took out his Pokedex.

Dexter gave a short summary about Mankey while Misty looked at the Pokemon.

"Aww, he's cute." Misty said as she looked at Mankey.

"That he is. Though, let's help Nurse Joy in transporting the Pokeballs." Shu said before pointing at Nurse Joy.

"Right!" Ash and Misty said in unison.

Then they started to help Nurse Joy in transporting the Pokeballs while Mankey stood with Pikachu as Nidoran kept looking at the door. They were able to teleport a good amount before the door to the room was blown off and smoke entered the room. The little explosion causing the Pokeballs to fall down.

"The Pokeballs!" Nurse Joy said worried.

"Don't worry, we'll take good care of them." Jessie said as she walked into the room.

"Along with that blue Nidoran of course." James said as he entered as well.

"As if, Mankey use Scratch of Ekans face and Nidoran use Poison Sting on Meowth!" Shu ordered his Pokemon.

Mankey wasted no time in closing the distance between it and it's target as it is already a nimble Pokemon. The next thing Ekans felt was sharp nails digging into its face as it cried in pain.

Nidoran shot the needles at Meowth who immediately jumped out of the way. Nidoran then had to dodge Koffing trying to Tackle him as he jumped back to his trainer.

"We can't fight here, the Pokeballs are here." Nurse Joy said worried.

"Got it, Ash take Pikachu and run, we'll follow." Shu said to Ash.

"Okay." Ash said as he wheeled Pikachu out of the room.

"Alright you two come on!" Shu said as he ran with Mankey and Nidoran behind him.

"Hey get back here!" Jessie shouted as she and her team ran after Shu.

Shu got out of the room and saw Ash and Pikachu but the Ekans and Koffing circled around them and stood in front of them while team Rocket came from behind them and stood beside their Pokemon's.

"Now you're trapped." James said with a smug smile.

"Now hand over your blue Nidoran and we will let you go quietly." Jessie said to him.

"Pi Pikachu." Ash's Pikachu called out weakly.

Then the Pikachus which were powering the centre came from the room and piled up on Ash's Pikachu much to the confusion of team Rocket.

"What are they doing?" James asked confused.

Their answer came in the form of a combined electric attack from all the Pikachus. It shocked the Rocket team's two Pokemon's as after it they fell down with Shu's Pokemon laughing at them. Pikachu then came out of the pile standing over the Pikachus completely fine.

"Pikachu you're alright." Ash said happily.

'And here it comes.' Shu thought with a smirk.

"Meow, it looks like I'll have to finish it after all." Meowth said as he came forward.

Pikachu then communicated with Ash who then got on Misty's bike and started to paddle it as team Rocket who recovered became confused again.

"Meow? What is it now?" Meowth said confused.

"Be ready team Rocket because Pikachu and I are gonna give you the shock of your life." Ash said as he paddled as the bicycles light bulb? lit up.

This surprised Meowth a bit. Then Pikachu got on the lightbulb as the electricity was then absorbed by him.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu sent a Thunderbolt to the team of thieves.

"Aaaahhh!" The trio screamed along with their Pokemon as they were electrocuted.

Pikachu kept on the attack as the Rocket team was electrocuted again and again. Koffing who was also being electrocuted filled the centre in its smoke before the electricity traveled from its body to the smoke and then caused an huge explosion.

From the outside the a pillar of fire appeared from Pokemon centre as Officer Jenny who had come with her bike skidded to a stop at seeing the pillar of fire.

"I didn't make it in time but at least I was able to see the fireworks." Officer Jenny said as she looked at the pillar of fire.

Small Time skip

"What in the world was that?" James who is now charred from the attack said as he was hanging onto a rope from their balloon.

"Was that really a Pikachu?" Jessie questioned as she is in the same state.

"Of course, that Pikachu was special. Cause there's no way that a normal Pikachu would've been able to do that." Meowth said to them.

"So that Pikachu is special. That's exactly the kind of Pokemon we are searching for." James said to them.

"And don't forget that blue Nidoran. I'm sure we'll get lots of praise for bringing a rare Pokemon like that." Jessie said to them.

"It looks like the two trainers of those Pokemons are friends and might be travelling together." Meowth said to them.

"So we can steal both of them at the same time." James said his tone a bit happy.

"That's wonderful news. Then it's decided. We are going to steal that Pikachu and Nidoran and get a promotion!" Jessie proclaimed happily.

"Yeah!" Meowth and James gave their approval as they cheered as well.
