Prologue
Somewhere in a space devoid of life and pitch black, there was a tiny wavering white flame. Just by looking at it you could feel loneliness radiating from it, it was our protagonist and yes, he is dead and waiting for God know what.
After waiting for what feels like an eternity a voice boomed in the void.
" Oh, look like there is some pitiful lamb in this desolate place. Why don't you tell me about yourself ? "
" Huh, who are you ? Where I am ? Why I am here ? " asked the flame in an agitated tone.
" I am what you mortals call 'God', well i am just an entity who supervise this universe. As for where and why you are here, first you are in the Void, it's a place where we entities call souls in order to decide what we do with them, and second you are here because you are dead. " answered the Voice without feelings bothered by the fact that its question was ignored.
" I am dead, but i was playing Pokemon Red and i fell asleep. " said the flame while being more dim.
" So why don't you tell me about you a little ? " asked again the Entity in a gentle voice.
" Well, I was born in a great family, we weren't rich but not poor either. I had a wonderful childhood, my parents loved me dearly because I had a weak body. I discovered Pokemon with the anime and became a huge fan, asked my father to buy me the games. " replied the flame as it grew little by little more energetic.
" But one day, I fell ill and I was sent to the Hospital. The doctors announced that my illness was incurable and i had only 5 more years to live. The news shocked my mother so much that she fainted. But as time passed, my parents resigned themselves that i cannot be saved, so they gave me every pokemon merchandise i wanted. I love the first pokemon games and played them again and again without growing bored of them. " told the flame, if it had a face you could see it smiling.
" Humm, it was quite the story you had there. Good, i decided i will give a chance to be reincarnated in the Pokemon universe and i will also fulfill some of your wish. " Happily said the Entity.
" Really !? Really really, you won't came back on your words right ? " inquired excitedly the flame.
" You have my words. So state your wishes. "
" Okay, Okay. "said the flame while taking deep breaths to calm his excitement.
" I want a system to help me take care of my pokemons, also i want to be born in Pallet town in Kanto and be a little older than Ash and Gary. " told the flame, you could feel the happiness coming from it just by seeing it.
" Ahahahah, ok ok, it's good to see you being so enthusiastic about it. " said laughingly the Entity.
" Now it's done, be on your way my child and good luck in your new life. "
" Thank you very much ! " answered the flame while grow smaller and finally disappearing from the void.

After some time our protagonist regained consciousness. But he couldn't see anything, just heard a something beating rhythmically.
' Where I am ? I can't see anything and i feel like I'm inside water. ' thought our hero puzzled.
' Initiating the System, ….. 10% ... 25% ... 60% ... 97% ... initialisation complete.
Greetings Host, I am your personal system bestowed upon you. '
' Huh, he-hello, so what can you do ? '
' I can display your status, your pokemon's. You also have access to function like Inventory, Store. '
' Neat, could you display my status for the time being please. '
' Certainly. '
*Ding*

Age: 0 years old
State: Fetus (8th month of pregnancy)
' So I'm still in my new mother's womb. Sys, do you have something to pass time ? '
' I can make host sleep until the start of your birth. Do you wish to do it ? '
' Yes, please. '
' Acknowledged . Have a nice sleep Host. '
' Thank you. '

' Oh, finally i will experience the Pokemon world myself.
ARGGGGGG, WHY DOES IT HURT SO MUCH, I DON'T THINK I CAN ENDURE IT FOR LONG. '
Suddenly our protagonist feels himself being pushed toward a light and when he finally make it outside you can hear the cry of a baby.
" Congratulation, it's a healthy boy !! " said a feminine voice just above the newborn.
After being washed and wrapped in a warm towel the little baby is given to a beautiful woman in her late teens to early twenties.
" My little treasure, you are so cute " cooed the woman
" Look he has your eyes honey. " said the voice of a man in his mid twenties.
" Did you think of a name ? "
" Why don't we name him after your grandfather Darling ?" answered the woman with a smile.
"Okay, from now on you are Nathan Spruce son. Welcome in the family" said proudly his Father with the biggest smile he ever made.
"Welcome, my little baby." said his mother while giving Nathan a kiss on his forehead.
And Nathan, himself waved his little stubby arms in the air, it was as if he greeted his parents and his new life waiting for him.
