6 Chapter 6: Mt Moon
After going out of the Gym, Nathan received a message of his system.
'Congratulation Host, because of your first win in a Gym Battle. You were rewarded with new features in your system.'

Going to the Pokemon center to heal his pokemon Nathan saw Gary and his fanclub going to the Gym. Arriving at the Pokemon Center he gave his pokemon to Nurse Joy and he decided to call Prof Oak and his family.
"Hello laboratory of Professor Oak, how can I help you ?" answered Prof Oak.
" Hi Professor, it's Nathan. I call you to give you some news about my travel. I got my first badge and I am at Pewter City." said Nathan.
"Oh Nathan, good to see you in good health and congratulation for your first Badge. Did you catch interesting pokemon ?"
"Yes, i caught a Horsea, a Pidgey who evolved into a Pidgeotto, a shiny Nidoran who evolved into a Nidorino, a shiny Gastly,got an egg which hatched into a Baltoy and a Sewaddle who evolved into a Swadloon. I got the egg from poachers in the Viridian Forest. You should warn every trainer you can."
" Very interesting pokemon you have there and I agree with you for the matter about the poacher. I will warn all my acquaintances. I heard there was an incident yesterday in the Museum at Pewter City, do you know something." asked Oak.
"Yeah, I know, I was there when it happened. Some grunt from a group called Team Rocket tried to steal fossils and pokemon but I took care of them."
"Good Job. When you will be at Cerulean City, go to see one of my friends there. His name is Bill, he will have something for you." said the Professor.
" I will end the call Professor, I still need to call my family. And say to Daisy I said Hi."
"Ahahah, don't worry I will pass your message. have a good day Nathan."
"You too Professor."
After ending the call with Professor Oak, Nathan had gone to fetch his pokemon to show them to his Parents. While dialing his home number he let out all his pokemons.
" Residence Spruce, what can I do for you ?" answered a feminine voice.
"Hey Mom, it's me, I called you to give some news." said Nathan with a smile.
"Nathan !!! Dear come quick it's Nathan." yelled his mother.
"Oh Nat, good to see you."greeted his dad.
"Same here Dad.Look these are my Pokemons." said Nathan as he stepped on the side to let his parents saw his pokemons.
"Oh they are so cute, I hope you take good care of them."said his mother.
"Yes mom, I take care of them, by the way I also got my first badge in Pewter City."
"That's great son, congratulations. Where will you go next Cerulean City or Celadon City ?" asked his father, proud of his son success.
"I will go toward Cerulean City. Professor Oak what me to meet one of his friend there."
"Be careful if you pass by Mt Moon. The pokemons there are stronger than those on the routes." cautioned his father.
"Yes don't worry, I will call you and Mom, when I'm in Cerulean City. I will go now. Bye" said Nathan.
Calling back his pokemons in their pokeballs, Nathan exited the Pokemon Center and decided to replenish his supplies, before continuing his travel.
It was three hours later, that he was ready to depart, making his way toward the big mountains in the distance. On the way Nathan encountered many trainer and battled to train his pokemons further. Three day later, he arrived at the entrance to Mt Moon, but as it was starting to be dark, Nathan decided to stay the night at the Pokemon Center to heal completely his pokemon and his weariness from the journey.
The next morning as Nathan was ready to leave, he spotted something on the billboard which caught his attention. It was a note saying
[ Be careful inside Mt Moon, a group called Team Rocket was spotted inside. Their goal are not clear but they attacked multiple trainer and stole some of their pokemons. Caution is advised.
Pewter City Police Station]
'Humm those guys are also here. Gotta be careful.' thought Nathan as he started to go toward Mt Moon.
Gonin into Mt. Moon, Nathan saw a wide cave, there wasn't a lot of diversities in term of pokemons. Some Zubat and Golbat, Geodude and Graveler, from time to time there was an Aron, Cleffa and Clefairy. As Nathan was going further inside he could spot more and more Cleffa and Clefairy.
'Ah, I should be near the meteorite which crashed into Mt Moon. Then Maybe I can collect some Moon Stone for Caius.' Well let's search around.'
Searching for four hours Nathan finally found the cave where the meteorite was. In front of him was a breathtaking view, a hundred Clefairy and Cleffa were hoping around the giant space rock in four circles, one circle was going clockwise and the other counterclockwise and the other two followed the same pattern. There was a fifth circle composed of Clefable going clockwise but much more slower than the other. Other wild pokemons were entranced with the sight, nobody was moving. Nathan even wondered how it would look like at night but he couldn't stay here all day. When he started to move again, the pokemon stopped their dance and looked at him, not knowing what to do, Nathan backed to the exit when a Clefable bigger than the other and ancient than the other.
The old Clefable looked directly into Nathan's eyes and maybe he saw something that he liked because he smiled and motionned to another Clefable came closer with a Moon Stone and gave it to Nathan. Receiving the stone, he was baffled, not understanding why he was given a Moon Stone just like that. Nodding in appreciation toward the Clefable, Nathan was going to exit the cave when a group of men dressed in black with a big red R on their chest came in, they were the Team Rocket.
"Look it's the meteorite the Boss want and there is a lot of rare pokemon here. catch them all and take as much as you can of the Moon Stones." ordered a man with brown short hair.
When the man looked over to where Nathan was, a cruel grin creeped on his face.
"Look at what we have a kid with rare pokemon by his side. Now kid do the correct choice and give us your pokemon and maybe we won't hurt you."
"Yeah, no, you don't look like someone trustworthy. Everyone come out, some thugs have chewed more than they can."
Calling out all his pokemon save for Kelpie. Nathan got ready to fight against the Team Rocket grunt.
"Casper (Gastly), Top (Baltoy), Naia focus on their Koffing and Ekans with Confusion. Anzu, Sîn, Caius (Nidorino), Ivy (Swadloon) focus on the Rattata."
Naia and the two other quickly brought down the Koffing and Ekans and focus to knock out the grunt who were trying to flee. the Rattata didn't pose more difficulties. After bounding them with some ropes, Nathan asked if Clefable and the other could send them to the entrance near the Pokemon Center. Clefable then used Metronome, teleporting them outside. Saying his farewells, he continued his route encountering other trainer and pokemons. Stopping to eat lunch with his pokemon, he asked Caius to come near him and took out the Moon Stone.
"Look this is a Moon Stone, it can make you evolve into a Nidoking. But I won't force you, I only want you to know that you can evolve when you want. So do you want to evolve now or wait ?" asked Nathan while looking in his Nidorino's eyes.
Thinking for a while Nidorino came to an answer and touched the Moon Stone in Nathan's hand triggering his evolution. After the light dimmed, in Nidorino place was a powerful looking blue Nidoking roaring to show his happiness. Everybody was happy at the change in their friend. Everybody, well not everybody, because of the roar for Caius, an Onix woke up and he wasn't happy, looking around to see what disturbed his slumber. Onix saw Nathan and his pokemons, giving himself a roar he charged toward the group.
Hearing the roar of Onix Nathan turned toward it and froze for ten seconds because an Onix larger than average was rushing toward them. Regaining his calm he ordered Caius to stand in front of them and asked his system the new status.
'Sys, give me the status of Caius, please.'

"Caius use Brick Break, and then Double Kick."
Doing as he was ordered, Nidoking runned toward the wild Onix, jumped and use Brick Break on top of Onix's head forcing the later to crash into a wall and being stunned for a short moment. Not wasting this opportunities, Nidoking used Focus Energy and Double Kick on the right side of Onix. Being weakened by the series of attack, Nathan launched a pokeball toward Onix. The ball shaked one time, a second time and holding his breath and waiting for the last shake, Nathan closed his eyes and opened them only when he heard the sound of a successful capture.

After, his adventures inside Mt. Moon, Nathan got out two to three hours before sunset. It was only one and half a hour later that Cerulean City was in his sight. Making it barely in time as the moon started to rise. Nathan gave his pokemons to Nurse Joy and waited for them. He only had to wait for five minutes, after that he gave them their food and also ate before going to bed, falling asleep not even ten minutes later.
