2 Chapter 2: A double surprise and the decision about the future.

One month later

During the month after his birthday Nathan never left the egg alone, Wiping it just after waking up and before sleeping, sleeping while hugging it, Going to the library with, Seeing with Prof Oak each two to three days to do check up if there was a problem with the egg. Nathan was really excited to which pokemon it contained. Well he was the only one enjoying himself as each night his parents were going at it like rattata in heat. Nathan was really embarrassed the next day while seeing his mother smiling and humming in the kitchen and his father drinking his coffee happily.

"Hum, Dad." said Nathan in a timid voice.

"Yes what is it sweetie ?" asked his father, his smile still on his face.

"Can you on Mom make less noise tonight please, it was hard to sleep."told Nathan in a mosquito like voice.

Hearing this, his father spat his coffee on the table as his face started to flush red in embarrassment. Patting the head of his son he said with a shaking voice.

"Su-sure son, don't worry."

Coming in the room with Nathan's breakfast and seeing the expression of her husband Mary asked.

"Oh, what is it Dear ?"

Getting closer to his wife, Alec told her in a whisper.

"Nathan heard us last night, I think we should be a little bit less wild."

Upon being told so his wife hid her face in her hand, she was the most embarrassed of her life. She looked at her son from the corner of her eyes, seeing him wolfing down his breakfast, she couldn't help but smile a little.

After finishing his breakfast Nathan bolted out of his house and runned to the laboratory of Professor Oak to do the check up on the eggs and also a little bit to see Daisy. Well mainly to see Daisy in fact, with his constant coming to her grandfather lab they grew closer. From time to time you could see them going hand in hand to the library.

" Good morning professor !!!" greeted Nathan energetically.

"Ahahah, I see that you're in a good mood today too Nathan."said the Professor while taking sips from his mug of coffee.

"Yes !! The egg while be hatching very soon he is shining more frequently." said the young boy.

"That's good, now put your egg here, I will be checking it. You can go see the pokemon, Daisy is giving them their feed."

"Okay !!!" answered Nathan while running outside to go and help Daisy.

After helping her and spending time together speaking and eating lunch with them. Nathan took his egg back home and helped his mother in her chores. Having finished early his task, he goes back to his room to read a book on how to raise pokemon to be more powerful, when suddenly his egg start shining very brightly.

"Mom !!!!! The egg is hatching !!!!!." Yelled Nathan. His mother hearing that stopped watering her flowers bed and rushed to her son's room just in time to see the egg starting to change. Nathan not even diverting his eyes from the egg, he held his breath waiting to see what will come out of his egg. And to his great surprise he didn't see a pokemon BUT two pokemon. They were two Eevee but that wasn't the sole surprise because one of the eevee wasn't brown but silver. He got a shiny Eevee, the two little fur balls looked at him and came closer to him on their wombling short legs. As they start rubbing against him broke from his frozen state and started petting them while saying.

"Hey there guys, I'm Nathan, nice to meet you"

his mother seeing her son so happy while petting and hugging the two pokemon thought that it was the best idea her husband ever had.

"I will go and prepare milk for these little guys, enjoy playing with them a bit." she said with a smile as she turned around.

" Thanks Mom !!" replied Nathan while laughing because the two Eevees were licking his face.

After, playing with the two and feeding them the Miltank milk. Eevees fell asleep in his arms, he decided to wait for them to wake to take them to Professor Oak and see with him if everything is good. So he decided to also take a nap with the two pokemon in his arms cuddling against each other.

It was four hours later, that the three woke, after washing his face and quickly brushing the Eevees Nathan took them to Prof Oak.

Arriving at the Lab, Nathan saw the old man watering his flower bed in front.

"Professor !!!! Look the Egg hatched." he said while running to Oak.

"Hum. Oh !!! You really are lucky, not only did you get twin but also one of them is a shiny." exclaimed the professor.

"Now let's go inside and see if there is anything wrong with them." he said as he turned to enter his laboratory.

Nathan followed him inside to see a stunned Daisy looking at what was in his arms and she then excitedly rushed to him with a huge smile on her face.

"Wow, they are so cute, say can i carry them please." she said with puppy eyes.

Nathan struggled to reply, it was at this moment that Prof Oak told her they needed to be checked first and then she could play with them after. The check up didn't show anything abnormal. So Nathan spent the rest of the day playing with Eevees and Daisy.

One year later,his mother gave birth to twin, his dad joke that this year was really blessed with twins, everybody laughed at that.

Four years laters

A young man was seen running in direction of the Research Lab of Samuel Oak alias Professor Pokemon. He was wearing a blue cap with with a black and white pokeball on the left side, a black shirt, blue trousers with black lining and a black and blue jacket. While rushing through the streets complaining to his two companions.

"Seriously, Guys you really had to take my pants and trunk and run in the whole house with them. Because of you two we're late. What do you think Daisy will think now. What a great start for today." said Nathan as he sighed at his two Eevees.

He quickly arrived at the Lab and he wasn't that late, only five minutes.

"Hey, you're late, i was waiting for you." said a beautiful girl with light brown hair and black eyes with a pout.

Hearing her, the two Eevees jumped down from Nathan's shoulder while slapping him in the face with their tails. Seeing this she couldn't help but laugh at her friend.

"Really funny, yeah it's really funny Daisy. And sorry, but this time it's not my fault, Naia and Sîn took my clothes and ran around the whole house for one hour."

She smiled at the two mischievous fur balls who were running around her while chasing after each others.

"You said you wanted, to talk to grandpa about something ? What is it ? Come on tell me please. I will give you a kiss if you tell me."said Daisy with a mischievous grin. Even the two pranksters stop playing around to look at their master.

"Really, i should tell you then, after all it's the best payment for me." replied Nathan with a smile which made Daisy have faint blush on her cheek.

"Ok, I will tell you, I want to stay with the Professor and develop with him a new recipe of poke food and pokeblock to help my pokemon to grow stronger and healthier."

"Woah, really ?! Then how long will you stay here before going to travel the region and participating in the League ?"she asked, surprised at his answer.

"Hummm, don't know maybe four to five years if everything go as planned." he said while thinking about his project to become a powerful trainer but also a professor and maybe a breeder.

"Well let's go Gramps is waiting for us".

As he was going deeper in the Laboratory Nathan saw two other children, a boy with a red and white cap, jacket and shoes, a black shirt and a blue jeans. Next to the boy was a girl a light blue sleeveless shirt, a red skirt, a with white cap and white and red shoes. As he was approaching closer to them Nathan could hear Prof Oak explaining about the three pokemon they could choose from.

"On the left is the seed pokemon Bulbasaur, in the middle is the lizard pokemon Charmander and on the right is the tiny turtle pokemon Squirtle. Oh Nathan you finally arrived, come here."

"Hi Professor. Hello I'm Nathan nice to meet you." said Nathan with a little smile.

The girl blushed a little when she saw his smile and introduced herself.

"Hi, I'm Leaf and here next to me is Red my twin brother."

Red nodded his head toward Nathan with interest for the two pokemon on his shoulders. Noticing Red's gaze Nathan explained.

"These two are my partners, the silver Eevee is Sîn and the normal one is his sister Naia."

"Eee" "Veee" cried the two pokemon while lifting one of their paws to say hello.

"Now that the presentation are out of the way, Leaf, Red, it's time to choose your starter." said Prof Oak from the side.

"Ok, I'm going first,Squirtle I choose you."

"Squirtleee" Squirtle jumped happily in Leaf's arms who received him with a smile.

After Leaf had chosen her pokemon, Red walked in front of Charmander and asked him while showing him his extended hand.

" Charmander do you want to come with me and become the best Charizard in the world ?"

"Charrr" after hearing that Charmander jumped at Red, surprising the later.

"Seems like they took a liking to you two, now come here I have something to give you."said Prof Oak as he walked to another table where three group of ten pokeballs each where with three pokedex next to them.

"So here are your pokeballs and i will give you a pokedex it will also be your Trainer ID so make sure to fill out each information into it."

"Thank you Professor !" said Leaf and Red at the same time and they started to go out of the Laboratory to start their adventure.

"Well we are alone now Nathan, what do you want to discuss with me ?"asked the old man while turning his attention to Nathan.

"To be honest, I wanted to postpone my travel because I wanted your help in developing my recipe of poke food, I tested it on Sîn and Naia but i think it can be improved."

"Certainly your two Eevees are more powerful than other Eevees but what do I gain by helping you ?"asked Oak not really caring about gaining something in return for his help.

"When the recipe is ready and I gained some fame, I will start a poke food firm and you could become one of the board directors, I will even give you 25% of the shares, so what, do you want to do it ?"

"Humm, look like a good plan to me but you need to become famous first. Well knowing you, you will find something. Ok I'm in but I will give you some task when you will travel and while you stay here you will also work as my Assistant ok."replied the Professor.

"Ok, thanks Gramps."said Nathan while shaking Oak's hand.

And just like that Nathan become Professor Oak assistant, postponing his travel by a few years.
