CHAPTER 135 – TAPU KOKO AND THE MYSTERIOUS EGGS

In the previous chapter we see how Courtney confesses to Ash who half-accepts her feelings becoming a kind of half-girlfriend, the good thing is that Ash promised that he would fall in love with her and after that she helped him release his stress, the next day Ash is dedicated to training with Selene because soon the girls would arrive and it would be time to do the Island Challenge, What will fate hold for our heroes?

Is She confessing to me? I never believed that she would do it, I thought she was so shy that the one who would have to take the first step would be me, I never imagined that she would confess to me.

"Have you confessed to me?" – I asked confused.

"I know it sounds weird, we have barely known each other for two weeks, but I have known you since the Indigo League began, after seeing your battles, after what you said after winning the Indigo League, I saw that you were perfect, honest and humble so during these months I could not forget you and little by little I liked you until this moment, I know that I'm shy, but I didn't want to miss this opportunity because I don't know if in other conditions I would confess" - Selene said.

I see, I suppose it was the impulse of the moment, being so shy she probably would never have confessed unless it was me who gave the first step, but she took advantage of the moment and in an act of great courage she confessed to me and apparently what she said was true, during these two months she fell in love with me.

"Selene, before give you an answer you must know several things about me" - I said.

"What things?" - she asked in confusion.

"I have 7 girlfriends and I love them all equally, they are my treasure and my family, would you agree to share the man you love? I promised my girlfriends that before I confessed to someone or that someone confessed to me, I would explain the situation we are" - I explained.

Selene stared at me for a few seconds.

"They know you have other girlfriends and accept it?" - asked Selene.

"Not only that but they get along like sisters" - I nodded.

"So..." – said Selene.

She was silent and i knew it, here came the rejection.

"Did you think I was going to say that I don't accept it? Obviously I accept it, I don't care that you have other women" - Selene said.

"Are you surprised? Well, I'll tell you something that will surprise you even more than you are now" - smiled Selene.

"And what could that be?" – I asked in confusion.

"Molly already told us all of that a few days ago, when we started to get closer to you, she gathered us all when you were with the boys and told us everything, so we all know that you have more girlfriends" - Selene laughed.

"What, Molly did that?" – I asked in surprise.

This must be the work of the girls, surely they told her that, if she saw a girl that she judged as a good person and that showed interest in me and vice versa, she would notify them of everything without i know ... I don't know whether to thank her or punish her for paying attention to them.

"Yes, but it's a secret, so I would appreciate it if you would act as if I had not told you anything" - Selene nodded.

"Okay, I'll do that... for the time being" – I nodded.

"So, do you accept me?" – Selene asked shyly.

"Selene, I like you but I'm not in love with you, I want to do it and I'm not rejecting you but I promised myself that I would only accept a girl who were in love with me and vice versa, don't take it as a rejection please" – I said.

If I'm honest I expected to take a little longer to conquer her and I thought that when I confessed I would already be in love with her completely but this was too sudden.

"I imagined you'd say that but don't worry, I know you're not rejecting my feelings, so I promise you that I'll do everything I can to make you fall in love with me, you'll see, in a month I'll be able to say that I'm your girlfriend" - Selene said with a smile.

"I believe you" – I nodded.

I know some will say I'm stupid, but don't get me wrong, I'll do what I decided at the beginning and i won't change that.

"So, could we consider ourselves as a half-partner? I mean, even if you're not in love with me, you like me and I'm in love with you, so we'd be like a couple, but halfway, don't you think?" – Selene said with a smile.

I wanted to say that didn't make sense but then I remembered Courtney who was also my half-partner and then I saw her expectant face.

"Okay, we're half-partner" - I nodded.

I couldn't help but accept I don't want her to feel like I'm rejecting her so we'll be half-partner until I fall in love with her, what does a half-partner do? Well, no idea, i don't know if that word exist.

"So, we should celebrate that we are almost a partner" - said Selene.

Then little by little we were bringing our faces closer until finally kissing, it was a kiss that expressed Selene's feelings, nothing lustful, just a normal kiss, but believe it or not I could feel her overflowing love for me, I promise that in this month I will fall in love with her, I do not know how to do it, but I will do it.

A while later we separated, but when she was going to say something, a voice resounded in the place.

"Humans" - said the voice.

Hearing this, both Pikachu and Litten were on their guard.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a Pokémon appeared, but not just any Pokémon, it was Tapu Koko the guardian of Melemele Island.

"You are...!" – I said in surprise.

"Tapu Koko the guardian of Melemele!" – said Selene in surprise.

"That's right, it's me" – nodded Tapu Koko.

He's using telepathy, but it's weird, in the anime he didn't have that ability.

"What do you want, why do you appear before us?" – I asked curiously.

"I want you to see one thing, follow me if is possible and don't worry, that place is very close, so don't worry about your friend" - said Tapu Koko.

"Huh, how do you know about Courtney?" – I asked in surprise.

"I have been watching you since the first day you set foot in Alola and she too and you made a good impression on me so I want to show you something" - he replied.

"Shall we follow him?" – I asked Selene.

"Let's follow him, he is the guardian of the island, he will not do us anything bad" – Selene nodded.

"That's right, I won't do anything to you, on the contrary, I will give you something and all I want you to do is observe, please come with me and I will explain everything" – said Tapu Koko.

We both nod and follow him along with our Pokémon.

He guided us to a small forest that was very close to our position and we walked for a few minutes until we reached a lake while on the way I was looking at the APP to see the distance I was from Courtney.

We arrived at a small lake and when I looked at the APP I saw that we were 4 Km from Courtney, so it was on the edge but it was acceptable.

"Humans, look around you" - said Tapu Koko as soon as he arrived at the lake.

We listened to him and looked around only to see how dozens of Pokémon were doing their things, some ate, others looked at us curious while others simply ignored us, the beautiful night scenery and the pleasant temperature only made this more beautiful than it was.

"It's just beautiful, so many Pokémon..." – said Selene enraptured.

"I love Pokémon" - I nodded.

"I'm glad, as you can see Alola is a region with a lot of nature but the reason why I have called you here is not only to admire the landscape, but because I have to entrust you a mission" – said Tapu Koko.

"What kind of mission and why us?" – I asked curiously.

"As I said I have been watching you and I have concluded that you are the right ones to fulfill this mision but do not worry, I will not ask you to do this without anything in return but first let me tell you what will be your mision" - said Tapu Koko.

Then he positioned on top of the lake and suddenly, an egg came out of the lake, but not only that, but, from the earth, on the shore of the lake, but without touching the water, another egg came out of it.

"Here you have" - said Tapu Koko.

The eggs floated little by little until they landed in our hands.

I looked at the egg and saw that it was completely white except for the six black stripes on either side of the egg, three on the right and three on the left, while Selene's was completely white with nothing.

"What are these eggs?" - asked Selene confused.

"These are the eggs of two Ancestral Pokémon and I want you to take care of them, that will be your mision" - said Tapu Koko.

"Do you want us to incubate them, wouldn't it be better if their mothers did it instead of us?" – I asked confused.

"Under normal conditions that is what would have to happen, but unfortunately it is completely impossible for their mothers to incubate the eggs" - said Tapu Koko.

"What do you mean?" - asked Selene confused.

"Because their mothers are not in this world and although there are more of their species, they will not take care of eggs that are not theirs and since my mission is to protect the island from any danger, I cannot take care of them alone, so I ask you to do it instead of me" - he explained.

"Which Pokémon will come out of the eggs?" – asked Selene.

"For reasons beyond your understanding I cannot reveal that information, all I can say is that the egg with black stripes needs to be in contact with water to incubate and the white egg needs constant heat, which is easy to find in Alola" – said Tapu Koko.

I don't know whether to take that as an insult, but hey, if their mothers are no longer in this world then we will take care of them.

"Okay, we'll take care of them, if it's about helping a Pokémon in need, I won't hesitate to do it" - I nodded.

"Exactly" - Selene nodded.

"So that means I wasn't wrong with you but don't worry, as I said you won't do this for free, take this" - said Tapu Koko.

And suddenly, two kind of bracelets appeared floating and then fell to the ground.

When we picked them up we could see that it was a Z-Ring.

"It's a Z-Ring!" - exclaimed Selene in surprise.

"That's right, with them you can make Z-Move but unfortunately I can not give you the Z-Crystal, you will have to get them by your own means, although I would say that they are not very difficult to find, at least some of them" – said Tapu Koko.

"Thank you" – we both said.

"Thanks to you for taking care of these eggs is the greatest favor you can do for me, now if you excuse me..." – said Tapu Koko.

"Wait, I have one last question! How long will it take to hatch?" – I asked.

"I don't know the exact time, all I know is that it will take a long time, the Pokémon inside are not normal Pokémon and will take a long time to hatch, but when they do... you will understand that the wait will be worth it and now, goodbye, it's time for you to go home, everyone should be worried" - said Tapu Koko.

And then he flew out to Arceus knows where.

"We'd better come back Selene" - I said.

Selene nodded and we quickly returned home as it was already night.

At home.

"So you are telling me that the reason why you are so late is because Tapu Koko, the guardian of the island entrusted you with a mission and as a reward gave you a Z-Ring?" – asked Professor Kukui curiously.

"That's how its happened" – we nodded.

"Tell us everything in great detail if you are so kind" – said the professor Burnet.

We both nodded and began to explain the story but not before leaving the eggs, luckily, Professor Kukui and his wife had a small pond in the garden and I was able to leave the submerged egg without problems while Selene's egg simply left it in her room.
