The 'Larvitar' incident...

Ace looked at a report and rubbed his head, sighing, "You sure you saw a Larvitar in the Mine??" A Miner nodded with a cold sweat, "Ace! Let me tell you, I have never seen such a big area! It was eating everything!"

Ace pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing, "Let's go, I'll find this little guy… If I find the guy who released a Larvitar in my Mine, I'm gonna kill him!" The Miner led Ace down into the mines.

Ace stood in the area and looked around at the huge space. He rubbed his chin, "You can put a checkpoint here. Roark!" Roark was looking at the damage when he raised his head, seeing Ace, "Huh? You heard about the Larvitar too?"

Ace rolled his eyes, "Forget about the Larvitar, make arrangements for a sturdy checkpoint here. We need to reinforce this area otherwise the mine will collapse. Get Shieldite Beams and walls up. Put down a rest area and canteen here."

Roark nodded, "No problem." as he called Faye, "Faye, listen I need…" as Roark was calling Faye, Ace walked around the area, finding a small hole. He snorted and punched a hole in the wall, making the mine shake.

The Miner wiped his sweat, no matter how many times he saw that, he was amazed! A whole days work with one punch! The Gym Leader sure is amazing!

Ace made a hole and formed a tunnel following the little hole made by the Larvitar. He continued punching as a sharp headed Steelix appeared, roaring angrily!

Ace glared at him, slapping him, "Shut up!" The Steelix was dazed and Ace continued, "Where is that little bastard…"

Speak of the Devil!

A Larvitar jumped out angrily!

Ace looked at it, blinking.

This Larvitar was shiny Gold with a dark purple belly. It shouted angrily, "Larvi! Larvitar! Larvitar?! Larv!!!" Ace snorted and said, "This isn't your house! You can't just eat the entire Mine! Are you nuts, kid?!"

Larvitar sneered, "Larvi! Larvitar!" as he crossed his arms, snorting with his chin up. Ace was so angry he laughed instead, stomping on the ground and shaking the entire mine! Larvitar was bounced up and fell on his face.

Ace reached for him as the Larvitar rolled out of the way, looking at Ace angrily, "Larvi!" Ace laughed, "I'm forcing you! What are you gonna do?!" Larvitar roared and blasted out a Hyper Beam!

Ace laughed and slapped the Hyperbeam away, landing on the Steelix on the side.

Steelix: what did I do?!

Larvitar was dumbfounded! Ace snorted, "Come on, kid! I don't need Pokemon for a Greenhorn like you!" he clenched a fist and covered it with black lightning, "Too bad for you, I'm a Fighting Type! Hahahah! Catch my Dynamic Punch!"

He punched out and the Larvitar saw a giant fist in his face, "Larvi?!" before falling backwards as Ace's punch went over his head, blasting out a bottomless hole in the mine.

Larvitar looked at the hole and wiped his sweat, "Larvi!" A Drilbur looked at the hole and raised his paws, "Dril!" before crying.

'I nearly fell to my death! Thank Arceus!'

Ace looked at the Larvitar, grinning. Larvitar jumped up and looked at Ace, "Larvi?" before jumping at him, punching him with Dark Energy. Ace caught his little fist as Larvitar blinked, "Larv?"

Ace slammed him into the ground!

Larvitar laid out on the ground and muttered, "Larv…itar…" he slowly stood up and Ace was startled, rubbing his chin, "You're not bad, kid!" Larvitar was huffing and puffing as he jumped on the ground, "Larvitar!"

Stones burst from the ground, shooting towards Ace, who raised his leg and stomped, shattering the Stone Edge. Larvitar grit his teeth and rushed at Ace, lunging at him with an Iron Head!

Ace looked at him as Larvitar bounced off, landing on his butt. Larvitar was surrounded by Question Mark Unknowns, "Larvitar?" Ace picked him up by his horn, looking him up and down, "Hm…"

Larvitar snorted and turned his… body away. Ace chuckled and walked away, holding Larvitar, who had his arms crossed, by the horn. He swung him with his natural arm movement as he appeared in the area from before, "I found the bastard."

He held up the Larvitar as Roark looked at it, "Oh wow! It's a different color! It probably got sent out by his clan, poor guy." Ace looked at Roark, "You want it?" Roark shook his hand, "I have a Tyranitar."

Ace's lips twitched, "And? You can have another one." Roark rolled his eyes, "I'm not as rich as you! I can't afford another one! After all, I secretly had mine eat an entire peak on Iron island…"

Ace was speechless and Roark blushed, touching his fingers together…

Ace left him and looked at Larvitar before sighing, "I don't want to keep you! But I have no choice…" Larvitar mocked him, "LarViTaR~!" Ace's eyes twitched and he threw him on the ground, "You mock me again and you're Larvitar stew! You hear me?!"

Genesect jumped out and rubbed his claws together, salivating, "Gene…sect?" Larvitar was shocked and scared, running to Ace's leg, hugging it, "Larvi!?" he looked up at Ace with big watery eyes.

Ace rubbed his forehead, "Genesect… Can you even eat Larvitars?" Genesect pointed at his mouth, "Gene!" Ace's lips twitched, "What do you mean 'You don't know if you don't try'???" Noivern shook his head on Ace's head, "Noi."

Larvitar pointed up before spitting out his tongue at Genesect, "Larv!" Genesect made sparks with his claws, "Gene… hehe…" Larvitar hid behind Ace's leg as Ace kicked him out, "Who's protecting whom!?" 

Ace snorted and threw a Pokeball behind him, catching the Larvitar and rubbing his forehead, "What a headache!" He pointed at Roark, "If there's another Larvitar, you're keeping it!"

Roark nodded, "Oh… Oh!" Ace rolled his eyes and left the mine, saying to the Miners, "Just be careful around this area just in case. When we figure out the safety levels, you can resume mining in this quadrant. For now, check the tunnel systems for stability and mine in other quadrants, okay?"

The Miners nodded, "Thanks, Ace!" Ace smiled and waved as he walked away. Larvitar came out of his Pokeball in the distance, "Larviii!" as he chased Ace, holding his Pokeball in his arms.
