41 Chapter 40 : The Grand Heist - First Attempt!

Around 6 hours later, Kadabra was the first one to be done learning the move. When a Pokemon learns a move with the help of a Technical Machine, they would have the basic mastery. Kadabra joined him in meditation while waiting for the others.

3 hours later, Rhydon was done as well. An hour later, Machoke learnt the move. Orion thanked the assistant and left the building.

For the next month, Orion stopped going into the wild and excessively trained the Protect move for all 3 Pokemons until everyone raised it to Expert level move mastery!

With his Pokemons ready, Orion bought several potions, antidotes and other important items and entered into the Wild once again. This time, he had a goal. Orion had been entering into the wild for more than two years. It had been over a year since he started going deeper into the wild and seeing several Pokemon hives. He had already created his own map to remember the locations of each hive.

After entering the wild, Orion released his Rhydon and climbed his back as usual. Of course, it was much more difficult to ride a Rhydon than a Rhyhorn due to the sharp spikes on his back and his posture. Orion thought, 'I should get a Pokemon that is more comfortable to ride sometime in the future. I'll also need a couple to fly on.'

Regardless of the discomfort, Orion could still ride his Rhydon. They quickly moved towards one of the colonies they had encountered during their earlier explorations.

After travelling for some time, Orion reached the Victreebel colony. Orion and his Pokemons could smell a sweet scent in the air. It was what Victreebel and Weepinbells used to attract prey to their colony.

Orion brought out his Kadabra and Machoke and softly said, "We will first find where their main base is. Then we will swoop in and grab their treasures before teleporting away. Are you three prepared?"

Everyone nodded. Orion said in a soft voice, "Good. As we discussed, our safety is the most important thing. Remember to dodge any attacks and use Protect if you can't dodge. In the worst case, I'll call you back.

Rhydon, your defences might not be very useful as Victreebel is a Grass type Pokemon. Counter their attacks with Rock Blast or Smack Down instead of enduring them if a fight happens."

His Pokemons nodded once again. Orion said, "Alright, let's start. Rhydon, use Bulldoze with your full power. Kadabra, prepare to teleport us all away. Machoke, return to your Pokeball for now."

Orion returned Machoke to his Pokeball. Meanwhile, Rhydon raised his right leg and gathered a large amount of energy in it before slamming it into the ground with extreme force.

Rhydon's attack sent a shockwave directly towards the Victreebel hive. Hundreds of Bellsprouts, dozens of Weepinbells and a few Victreebels who were having a normal day suddenly felt the ground shaking. Moments later, several of them were hit by the attack!

Several Bellsprouts collapsed as they couldn't withstand the attack. As for their evolved forms, they were only lightly harmed. However, seeing their hive attacked in this manner enraged them. Several of them immediately charged towards the spot from where Rhydon had attacked. However, they didn't see anyone there.

Kadabra had already teleported the group to the opposite side of the colony. The Pokemons kept looking for the attacker while Orion analyzed, 'They came rushing from this direction. Meaning, their main colony should be somewhere along this line. I need to make a few more attacks to get their exact location.'

He instructed Rhydon to attack again, causing another bunch of Pokemons to come rushing in that direction. It was soon followed by more attacks from other directions.

The Victreebel colony was in panic due to such multi-directional assaults! At the centre of the colony was a Victreebel. It was the strongest one in the colony with its level at 39! Noticing the continuous attacks, it quickly took charge and commanded orders.

"Victree… Victreebell… Victree…"

Hearing his commands, the remaining Pokemons in the hive quickly organized themselves. Victreebel sent a unit led by a Victreebel along the direction of every incoming attack.

Unfortunately, none of them found anything. He shouted even more, "Vic… Victreeee… Victreebel… Victreebel…" (Which bastards are attacking us? Everyone, keep an eye out. Establish a perimeter and inform me whenever you see anything move! I will dissolve those bastards in my acid!)

Hearing his commands, everyone began dispersing. Only a couple of other Victreebels and a couple of dozen Weepinbells were left behind. Even the Bellsprouts moved out and stood some distance from each other. They buried their legs into the ground and began feeling the vibrations in the ground to find anyone else who was moving around in the area.

In all, Orion did 9 attacks from 9 different directions before he was confident about the exact location of the colony. In addition, he saw that the constant attacks had made several strong Pokemons in the hive come out and watch the perimeter in order to see who was attacking.

Orion thought, 'This is the best chance. Though their colony should still have some Pokemon as they aren't in as bad shape as that Beedrill hive, my Pokemons should be strong enough to handle it. After all, I am much stronger now!'

Orion released his Machoke as well and instructed, "Rhydon, start digging along the route I say. Kadabra, use your Psychic energy to sense the presence and location of enemy Pokemons above the ground. We will attack quickly and escape even quicker."

One very useful ability Orion had discovered was that Psychics could sense the presence of other people and even Pokemons to a degree. Even he could do so to an extent. However, it was pretty basic and he suspected that it wasn't foolproof as Kadabra was still able to sneak up on him without him being able to detect him.

That said, Kadabra's ability to sense the presence of others was much stronger than Orion's as his Psychic abilities were far beyond Orion's level. Orion intended to use this ability of his to the fullest extent.

All three of Orion's Pokemons were hyped. Rhydon began digging a tunnel. Thanks to his larger size, it was much easier for him to dig a wider tunnel. Orion, Kadabra and Machoke walked comfortably behind him. Kadabra's eyes were glowing blue all the time as he was trying to observe the Pokemons above the ground.

As they were digging through, one young Bellsprouts suddenly felt something. He looked under his feet and immediately realized that someone was doing something underground. He quickly ran back to the leader while shouting, "Bellsprout… Bell… Bell… Bellsprout!"

The Victreebel heard his words and immediately began moving towards the spot where the young Bellsprout had sensed the movement. It dug its Vines into the ground and sensed the digging movements as well. It immediately shouted, "Victreebelllll!"

Hearing his shout, several Victreebels and Weepinsbells rushed towards him!
