Chapter 97 - Indigo League; Paul vs Benjamin part 1
"When I was small I had a dream to become the best breeder Pokémon of the world because my old man suddenly left without saying anything I had to step up to take over his responsibilities. After 5 long years, my old man has returned back home and now I can finally focus on my dream. I want to go to Vince because I felt I can learn many things from there. I was hoping if you could came with me since you know traveling alone is not fun."

"I always have wanted to visit Vince and start my journey to become the world's best Pokémon Breeder from there."
Itsuki didn't understand why Brock was inviting Itsuki to came with him. While Serena looked at Itsuki and waited for his reply. It would be a lie if Serena said she wasn't interested in going to Vince with Itsuki.

"Brock I want to know why? Why invite me to came with you?" Itsuki felt he should just ask Brock instead of thinking about the reason himself.
"Because I owe you. So consider this trip as a vacation trip. The trip won't take more than a week of your time. If you want you can also bring another person with you. I will pay for that person's expenses." Brock then gave Serena as if knowing that Itsuki might bring Serena with him.

"Now before you question why I want to go to Vince. Well, I don't have any specific reasons but I heard that Vince has two legendary Pokémon living there and protecting the city for generations. Also I feel little uneasy and nervous going to a nee place out of Kanto." Itsuki nodded his head. Itsuki understood that Brock was trying to become his friend. Brock had offended Oak and Ash so he needed someone that who would back him up if Oak decided to do anything against Brock or his family.

"Okay Brock. You have managed to convince me. Let's talk more about this later. Get your ice-cream first." Brock turned around after hearing Itsuki's words and noticed that he was standing in front of the Ice-cream shop.
"Number 1121." The girl who looked like the granddaughter of that old man called Brock's number.
Just when Brock's eyes fell on the girl who stood opposite to him, something suddenly triggered inside of him.

The girl who had black ponytail looked at Brock. Brock and the girl, they were separated by the stall.
Out of nowhere, Brock suddenly took out an rose. Brock put the rose in his mouth and gently held the hand of the girl.
"It's me. Your one and only, the greatest of all time, Brock. You're the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Would you like to become the mother of my children?"

Serena "_____"
Both Itsuki and Serena pretended to not know Brock. While the crowd around them looked at Brock like they are looking at the biggest idiot in Kanto.
But the people standing behind Serena got irritated. "We have been fucking standing in the line for more than 15 minutes. Hey stop your clown friend."
Itsuki saw a fat young man of his age speaking. "Who is my friend? I don't even know that guy." Itsuki innocently replied.

"Are you fucking thinking that we are deaf? Just few seconds ago you guys were talking about going somewhere." The fat young man looked angry.
"I don't know what you're talking about?" Itsuki then looked at the amazing scenery around him.
"You..." The fat young man was left speechless by Itsuki's acting.

The girl looked in an uncomfortable position. She clearly wanted to slap Brock. But Brock was their customer and already had paid. So if she slaps and says something insulting to Brock then it might damage their reputation.
"This....." Serena understood how the girl was selling. Serena stepped forward and said.
"Brock please don't make her feel uncomfortable. You're also wasting others people's time."

Serena was hoping that Brock would respect her words and back off.
"Is it true?" Brock innocently looked at the girl and asked with a sad and depressed look. The girl awkwardly nodded her head and gave Brock the ice-cream he had ordered.
Brock took the ice-cream from the girl and just kept walking.
Itsuki, Serena, the girl and everyone felt Brock was being serious there and felt pity for him.

But then....
"Nurse Joy, please came here." Hearing the word Nurse Joy, Brock suddenly raised his head.
Brock saw Nurse Joy was carrying a box which bandages and others things in it. Seeing Nurse Joy, Brock depressed look changed to the look of someone who had just seen his idol.
"Nurse Joy, I am coming. Please let me help you." Brock ran after Nurse Joy, leaving everyone dumbfounded by what they just witnessed.

"___" Serena
"___" everyone
"I think that man was the Brock, gym leader of Pewter city. I wonder why is he chasing after girls."
"Who knows but I think it's better to keep your girl away from Brock. It looks like Brock is in his mating period."
"You idiot humans don't have mating period. Unless you're comparing Brock to a dog in heat."
"Hehe! Who knows."

Itsuki and Serena looked at each other and wondered how Brock would react if he knew what people was talking about him.
"Number 1122 here os your order." The girl pretended as if she never net Brock with a professional smile on her face.
"Thank you." Itsuki thanked the girl and turned around to leave. While Serena waved at the girl and also walker away with Itsuki.

Scene change....
[_ Match number 2:- Number [169] vs Number [233]
_Please welcome Paul from Sinnoh Region and Benjamin from Celadon City.]
The audience was full of energy. The first battle had left a deep impression among everyone. Now everyone was expecting the same power level or even more heated and excited battles from the trainers.

Benjamin was a young man with blue hair. Benjamin was the age of 13 years old. Benjamin belonged from a poor family that lived in Celadon city. Benjamin father is a worker while his mother is a housewife. Benjamin's parents had saved years of their earning just to get Benjamin a decent Pokémon. Unlike the rich kids or the kids whose parents were already trainers which made their journey easy, every step Benjamin took was twice difficult when compared to average trainers.

2 months ago, Benjamin never even in his wildest dream thought he would have enough strength to participate in the Kanto League. But then the new law came and changed everything. Trainers like Benjamin got the golden that they never thought would get. This new law gave Benjamin and other talented trainers like him a chance to rise.
Benjamin worked very hard. He spent almost all of his free times in the forest capturing Pokémon that could give him money.

Because Benjamin began to earn, he was able to make his parents retire and enjoy. Benjamin then poured all of his resources in acquiring 4th order Pokémon and also train his partner. Benjamin had no background, no rich parents, had no one's support, Benjamin still made it to the top rounds.
Even Benjamin didn't thought he would able to came his far. But now Benjamin had only one goal and that is to enter the top 10 rank.

Benjamin knew that if he is able to enter the top 10 rank, then he would able to receive lots of rewards and also might be approached to become a sponsor by some big family or big company.
Getting sponsored by rich people would let Benjamin progress even fast than before. He would have a background which would help him with resources and money.

As Benjamin walked down the entrance, the people didn't react that crazily like they did with Finn and Ash.
To the audience Benjamin was nobody, he was a nameless trainer. Benjamin understood that fact. Benjamin also didn't cared much about the reaction of the crowd. He became a Pokémon trainer to let his parents live a happy and peaceful live. Benjamin goal never really asked him to become popular.

After Benjamin made his entrance, the camera then shifted to the other entrance from where Paul made his entrance.
Paul has mid-length purple hair that has one big strand hanging over the middle of his face, small dark eyes. The stern and never smiling expression on his face gave Paul the vibe of a villain.
He was wearing a purple jacket with navy blue sleeves, a blue undershirt, dark purple pants and purple and navy sneakers with white soles.

Paul walked down the battlefield with steady steps. Paul stared at Benjamin who was already waiting for him. Paul only had the desire to fight the best and the Pokémon Indigo League was the perfect place for it.

The crowd wasn't the enthusiastic in cheering for Paul. Rather they kind of had a negative and baf impression after seeing Paul.
Like Benjamin, Paul had his own personal reasons for joining the Indigo League and he definitely didn't gave any shit about the crowd reaction.

After Paul walked down
[Match number 2 begins.]
"Come out Electivire"
"I chose you, Raichu"
Both trainers threw their Pokeball.
[Michael, We have two best electric Pokémon of Kanto and Sinnoh Region. Who do you think will have more chances of winning?]
[Jerry, it's hard to say anything. Both Pokémon are at their final evolutionary stages. Both Pokémon has the power to defeat Peak 4th order Pokémon.]

[But If I had to chose then I support Electivire more because Paul's Electivire looks more fierce than Raichu. But again this might be because of the size differences between two Pokémon.]
[Well Jerry since you're betting on Electivire, then I will place my bet on Kanto's pride Raichu.]

Seeing two strong Pokémon are about to fight, the crowd became excited for this fight. They have never seen a fight between Raichu and Electivire. While the words of two commentators Michael and Jerry made things even more spicy.

[Please endure a little because they are not just some random background and stepping stone characters. Both Paul and Benjamin and even Finn are all part of a bigger pictures. This is setting up another arc. Also I apologize for not uploading yesterday. I was too busy to write any chapters. Another chapter is on tbe way. ]
