Chapter 118 - Indigo League; Cynthia vs Barry [ending]

Both Cynthia and Barry started their battles. Barry made the first attack which was defended by Cynthia.

The battle continued to progress as time passed.

"Damn I don't know what caused Barry to use a Snorlax. Snorlax is very lazy. Just eats and sleeps. As its rotund bulk builds, it becomes steadily more slothful."

"Snorlax stomach's digestive juices can dissolve any kind of poison. It can even eat things off the ground." Luna added as she also had some knowledge on Snorlax.

Itsuki looked at Luna and couldn't help but ask. "You look so interested in Snorlax. Do you want to get a Snorlax as your first Pokémon." Luna still didn't had her first Pokémon. Luna said that she was waiting to meet the right Pokémon for her. Since Luna is not going become a Pokémon trainer she wants to take things slow and easy.

Luna smiled back and replied."I would take a Snorlax only if you agree to feed the Pokémon every single day."

Itsuki's lips twitched hearing Luna's words. A Snorlax eats nearly 900 pounds a day. If Itsuki were to feed a Snorlax then..... Itsuki can't even began to imagine the consequences. 'I would have to spend extra hours feeding Snorlax. The fatty pig would just go to sleep after eating.'

With Lucario being two levels higher thab Snorlax, it took Cynthia less than 2 minutes to defeat Snorlax.

Barry was forced to bring out his next Pokémon as Cynthia still used her Lucario. The whole battle was boring from Itsuki's point of view. If Barry level is 6 then Cynthia level would be 12, the difference between both of their Pokémon huge.

Also compared to Cynthia, Barry's battle style was not that strong. It was like Barry needed few extra seconds to think which move he was going to use. While Cynthia didn't waste even a second to decide what her next move is going to be.

Everyone knew who was going to win the battle. Itsuki lost his interest in watching the battle. He stood up to get some fresh.

"Itsuki are you going somewhere?" Sabrina asked.

"I am going to get some fresh air. Do you want me to get you something?" Sabrina shook her head and replied.

"No, I don't need anything. I was asking." Itsuki nodded and then walked out of the room.

"Hey don't push me."

Bang!

Itsuki was walking down the stairs when he heard something suspicious.

Itsuki heard some strange noises coming from one of the VIP rooms. Itsuki wanted to check what was going on but he decided not to since he had no right to put his nose in other's business. "Whatever I should just get some fired food."

After Itsuki left, two figures opened the door and looked at the stairs.

[Code 002 reporting, the target have just walked down the stairs.] the two figures then left the VIP room as if they nrver existed in the first place.

Itsuki had no idea what happened. Itsuki walked out of the stadium to buy some street foods for everyone.

The street was more crowded than yesterday. There were people from all over the world. Itsuki ignored everyone and walked to the nearest food shop.

As Itsuki stood in the line, someone tapped his right shoulder.

"Yo!"

Itsuki turned his head and found Brock was standing behind him. "How did you find me again? Or are you following me?" Yesterday Itsuki met Brock when he was going to buy Ice-cream with Serena.

"Hahahaha!" Brock laughed seeing the suspicious look on Itsuki's face.

"I am not following you or anything. Barry is not on Cynthia's level which makes the whole match boring. So I came here to buy some food and hopefully find a girlfriend." Brock began to look around as he said the latter part.

Sigh!

Itsuki could see how thirsty Brock was to get a girlfriend. He doesn't understands why Brock is so eager to find a girlfriend. It's not like he would die if he doesn't finds a girlfriend.

"By the way, are you going to bring Serena in our trip?" Brock asked while looking around. Itsuki took few seconds to reply to Brock's question. Itsuki wasn't sure whether he should bring Serena with him.

"To be honest I haven't thought much about your offer. Currently winning the Indigo League is the only thing I have in my mind." Brock looked at Itsuki in surprise.

"Do you not want to take her with you?" Brock was sure that Serena had a thing for Itsuki. The way she looked at Itsuki it was so obvious. Brock was sure that Itsuki must have noticed this.

"No. As I told you, I haven't given much thought about our trip. I will ask her when I get the chance." Brock nodded his head and again continued to look around; searching for girls.

Neither Brock nor Itsuki said anything for next 2 minutes. While Brock was busy looking around and searching for girls, Itsuki was thinking of ways to counter Cynthia's Garchomp and find its weakness.

"Itsuki have you noticed?" Itsuki again looked back and saw Brock looking at a beautiful blond hair woman.

"Noticed what?"

"That..... I don't know how to say it...."

Brock forced himself to look at Itsuki. "Some of the nurse joy looked so abnormal yesterday."

Seeing Itsuki expression, Brock felt he should tell the whole thing. "Let me explain. Yesterday after everyone left, I was waiting in the stadium to ask one of the random Joy clan single female out on a date. But then I saw a group of females from Joy clan. But the strange thing was that all the females bodies looked little abnormal. It's like they gave a male vibe."

"Brock please stop." Itsuki felt Brock was too drunk after seeing many girls together that he was mistaking things.

"Brock let's be honest. Whenever you see a beautiful woman walking past you, you always lose your mind and without thinking began to chase after that woman like hungry dog."

"I don't know what Dog means but it feels like you words were insulting me."

Itsuki pretended to not hear Brock's words. After both Brock and Itsuki talked about some random things.

Itsuki learned that Misty and her sister had a big fight because Misty said something rude to her sisters.

Brock talked about random things and Itsuki kept listening; it would be more accurate to say that Itsuki had no choice but to listen to Brock's words as both men were standing in the line.

"Floatzel is unable to battle." Barry sighed seeing how fast his Pokemon were defeated by Cynthia. His Pokemon couldn't even last for more than 3 minutes.

Barry knew battling Cynthia would be tough but he wasn't expecting the level difference between them to be so big.

[Cynthia have managed to defeat Barry's 5th Pokémon without losing any of her Pokemon. Cynthia still has 6 Pokémon left while Barry only have one last Pokémon left. This whole battle Cynthia didn't take out her Garchomp instead she used her other Pokémon.]

[Michael I think Cynthia was purposely not using her Garchomp. I think she might have been saving Garchomp for the semi-final and the final.]

It was just as Jerry said Cynthia was saving her Garchomp for the semi-finals. Cynthia also had another reason for not using her Garchomp. 'I want to give Barry a proper battle.'

By using Garchomp Cynthia was sure she could sole Barry's entire team. But doing that would only break his heart and will. It would make Barry depressed. Cynthia respected Barry and gave him a proper battle. A battle where Barry got the chance of showing his powers.

"Come out Torterra" Torterra was Barry's first and starting Pokémon.

[Grass type royal Pokémon of Sinnoh League. Barry has chosen his last Pokémon.]

Torterra is a large Pokémon that resembles a cross between an ankylosaur and a tortoise. It has a dark-green shell on its back with a white rim and diamond shape, along with a large tree on top. Three spiked rocks also line its back, and part of its shell appears to be covered in dirt. Torterra's body is mostly dark-green above the midsection, but underneath, its body is brown. To keep its balance and support its weight, it has a short, pointed tail and muscular legs tipped with rock-like nails. Torterra also has two silver spikes on both sides of its head, red eyes, and a black, kite-shaped beak.

Cynthia also took out another Pokémon to face Torterra.
