3 Kill
I woke up to the sound of rain battering the stone above my head. I was only half-conscious when I tried to get out of the hole I slept in.
The air felt damp when I got out of the hole. I looked around the forest to find it covered in mist. I could barely see anything at all. I could see the vague shape of Silcoons hanging from trees and other Pokemon still asleep.
Hunger pangs hit me as I was looking around. I forgot I didn't eat anything since I woke up yesterday.
I scurried around the forest floor looking for berries to eat. I eventually found some in a small tree.
"Are these safe to eat? The berries looked really weird." I said as I inspected the berries. It was yellow with lime green hoops around it. It could be poisonous I thought. Then I realized that I was a poison type and if it really was poisonous, then it would just make my poison more powerful.
"It looks like an Aspear Berry from the games!" I yelled after identifying it.
I quickly tackled the small tree in hope that it would make the berry fall. The berries did just as I hoped it would and they fell down.
I pounced the berries in hunger and took a huge bite. I didn't even think of the consequences before eating it.
Ptooey!
The berry was sour. I couldn't even describe how bad it was. It tasted like a lemon but a hundred times more sour.
I tried licking the tree bark, thinking it could help get the taste out of my mouth. It didn't help though. I sat there for some time, reflecting my life and thinking how a berry could be that sour.
I was still hungry and made a tough decision. I devoured the rest of the berries.
"Waahhhhh!" I cried while eating them and even felt my soul leave my body for a second.
I felt my head clear now that I was no longer as hungry. I looked back at the "profile" at the corner of my sight and saw a new addition.

"Defeat a Pokemon? I guess I have to do that to level up." I spoke.
I searched around for a sleeping Pokemon I could assassinate. I quickly accepted the fact of killing Pokemon as I thought of this life as a game.
Some Pokemon had already woke up and gone on their way searching for food. I climbed up a tree for I saw a sleeping Cascoon on a branch of that tree. I focused in on the Cascoon as I prepared to use Poison Sting. I wanted to copy what the other Venipede did yesterday.

"What? How come I could see the profile of that Cascoon." I questioned. I thought back to how I triggered it. I came to the conclusion that I needed to focus on a specific Pokemon to see their profiles.
I tested this on another pokemon at the bottom of the tree. I stared intently at the Caterpie.

What I thought was right so I looked back at the Cascoon I chose to kill. I crawled to the branch it was hanging from and tried using Poison Sting. The noise of me crawling on the branch seemed to have woken it up as it peered at me. It used String Shot at me which caused me to panic.
"Aaaahhhhhhh!" I fell off the branch as I hung like Spiderman from the tree.
I looked back up to see the Cascoon looking at me like a fool. I grew angry at the fact that I couldn't even defeat a dumb Silcoon. I subconsciously started spinning my tail like a helicopter. I didn't notice it until it propelled me up as I headbutted the Silcoon.
I seemed to have used my innate move, Sweeping Kick. I didn't even have feet and it used my tail instead. The Cascoon was somehow knocked out as it fell from the tree. I also fell down but I reacted quickly and used Poison Sting on the Cascoon. It hit the Cascoon straight at its face.
I hit the ground with the Cascoon crashing on top of me. I almost fell unconscious as I looked back at the Quest Log.

I smiled in victory as I black out. It seems the fall hurt my head a lot more than I thought.

At a town not too far from the forest the MC was in, Young Sap Town
Beep! Beep!
I smacked the alarm, groggily. I was still half-asleep as I looked at the calendar. I panicked as I remembered that I was getting my first pokemon today and I was late.
I quickly changed out of my pajamas and ran down the stairs.
"Mom, why didn't you wake me up earlier!" I yelled as I grabbed some toast from the kitchen counter.
"Well, you looked like you were having such a nice sleep and I didn't want to-"
"No time, I have to get to the Professor's Lab! Bye, mom." I said hurriedly as I left the house.
I dashed down the road of the small town I was living in. There wasn't even a lot of houses, only 10.
"Hey! Oscar, why are you so late. I just received my first pokemon from Professor Baobab!" shouted Jack, my rival, as he saw me at the entrance of the lab.
He walked down the stairs with his new pokemon, a Tepig in hand. Jack had brown, curly hair that covered his eyes. He always dresses fashionably and is always on time.
"My mom didn't wake me up in time!" I replied as I passed him, running into the lab.
I slowed down as I walked up to the Professor. The Professor was an old man that studies pokemon irregularities. He had grey hair that was turning white and wore a black lab coat.
"You're finally here Oscar, your friend, Jack just left." Professor Baobab said.
"I know, I know. I'm late. Can I get my pokemon now?" I asked as I caught my breath.
"Yes, choose one of the two that Jack didn't choose. There are Snivy, a grass type, and Oshowatt, a water type."
I looked at the two pokemon left and thought about it. Snivy looked quite cool with it being a snake. Oshawott looked cute and had a shell on its belly. "Of course I'm going to pick Oshowatt," I said. "I definitely want an advantage over my rival.
The Professor handed the Pokeball containing Oshowatt to me as he turned around to get something. He turned back around to show me a weird, red device.
"This is a Pokedex. I'm getting quite old and I'm not as adventurous as I used to be. Can you help me fill this Pokedex with Pokemon data in my stead?"
" Of course!" I said in response to his plea. I grabbed the Pokedex and started to head out. "Bye, Professor! I'll be back with this thing completely filled!"
I had just started my pokemon adventure...
