Powerful Venusaur

"When a Pokemon ranks up to king rank, it is not only about their body stats or how powerful their moves are. But it is also about experience. You see, a normal Pokemon takes decades to reach king rank and your Pokemon reached that stage within a few years. 

So, there is a huge gap between them now. So, if you could and I know you can, slow down their progress and concentrate more on their experience too. 

You saw how quick my Venusaur was when using its moves. What you didn't see was that it was regulating its stamina and concentration with perfect calculation. It was slow when it had the time but very fast when the situation called for it. 

These types of things come from experience. It comes from battling for years. It would not come from just training and some resources. So, take your time and let them grow. They also need time to mature.", said Cody.

Axel had learned a valuable lesson today. He was so in a hurry to rank up his Pokemons and power up that he had forgotten such a basic thing. He needed to focus on quality, not the numbers. 

His Pokemons might grow in their ranks very fast in the future but they would be like an empty vessel. So, he was going to think about this issue and come up with a remedy plan.

However, Axel had expected it to lose and it was able to battle Venusaur for some time. So, he was happy with the outcome.

The next battle was between Crobat and Tyranitar. Crobat won the battle. It had recently ranked up to pseudo-king rank and the difference between a pseudo-king rank and a rare rank Pokemon was huge. However, it could not win the battle so easily. Tyranitar was a pseudo-legendary Pokemon, and being a pseudo-legendary Pokemon, it had higher stats and good control of its moves. 

K was happy that his Crobat could win against a pseudo-legendary Pokemon while Kate was not feeling so good. But Crobat was a pseudo-king rank Pokemon now and it had higher stats.

The final battle was going to start. Everyone was curious about this battle. Both of these Pokemons had ranked up to king rank during the battle. One was the dragon-type Pokemon and also a pseudo-legendary Pokemon and the other one was an unusual Venusaur.

This time, nobody underestimated Venusaur. Logically, Salamence would win this battle but Venusaur was very strong when it was in pseudo-king rank. Now, it had ranked up to king rank, so its power would naturally be higher. 

"Who do you think would win?", asked Kate with anticipation.

"I don't know. Venusaur is very strong.", replied Lance.

"Even you don't think that your Salamence could win?", asked Kate.

"Yes, I don't know. I have seen that Venusaur grew up. Most of the time, it only used healing-type moves and status effect moves. But I know that Axel had taken very good care of it.", replied Lance.

"Yes, that Venusaur is very strong. I have seen Axel train it. It knows a lot of complicated moves. I don't think we have seen all the power of Venusaur.", added K. 

"If that Venusaur could win against a dragon type/ pseudo-legendary Pokemon, then I would not be sad about Sceptile losing to it.", said Hymer.

"Axel, who do you think would win? Can your Venusaur win against Salamence?", asked Lance.

"Of course, there is no way that it would lose.", said Axel with confidence.

"You are that confident huh?"

"Yes, I have groomed Venusaur thinking that it would be the second Hasirama Senju. So, if it could not even defeat a Pokemon of the same rank, then I would have to up its training.", said Axel.

"What is Hasirama Senju?", asked Lance and Kate. Others also wanted to know about it.

"Hasirama Senju is a mythological character from the stories. He was known as the god of ninja."

"Ninja? How much powerful could a ninja really be? And I don't think that exists.", said Hymer.

"That is why I said that it's a mythological character from the stories.", replied Axel.

"So, what could this Hasirama Senju really do?", asked K as he was also interested in the story. He also had a Venusaur and he also wanted it to be powerful.

"Hasirama Senju, the god of ninja had the power of wood."

"Wood? He could be the god of ninjas with just the power of wood?"

"Yes, don't underestimate him. He could heal even the fatal injuries visible to the naked eye. He could create wood dragon, wood golems and a status of thousands hands. These wood creatures are as big as the tallest building you have ever seen. He could also create a forest in a blink of an eye. He could also absorb the health of his enemies and then heal himself. He had extraordinary life force and very high physical strength and could battle his opponents for days. He could do a lot of things."

"Damn! This guy could really be called a god.", said K.

"Oh come on. It is just a story. Do you really think that your Venusaur could achieve it?", asked Hymer.

"Why not? It might not be able to do it right now but when it reaches champion rank or master rank, it would come close to the power of Hasirama Senju. If it became 50% as powerful as the god of ninja, then I would be very happy.", replied Axel.

All of them looked at Venusaur with anticipation.

'Venusaur, give it your all. Don't hold back this time.', said Axel to Venusaur with his mental communication skill.

Venusaur nodded its head and agreed. It was not going to hold back this time. It was fighting with a dragon-type Pokemon who was also a pseudo-legendary.

Axel had looked at its stats after it ranked up to king rank but he wanted to see it again.

Due to the locket given by Celebi, the stats of Venusaur had been boosted. Its special attack was now at C rank which was very high and it was near to reaching tier 2. Its health had also massively increased to 11,000. That was a huge amount of health for a tier 1 king-rank Pokemon.

Then came the moves. Some of the moves had been leveled up due to the locket. The most striking change was in 'Synthesis' which was now in level 60. 'Water sport' and 'Rain dance' had also leveled up along with 'Sludge bomb'. This also improved hidden power mastery to 40%.

Axel looked at the moves that had been upgraded after it ranked up.

Synthesis (Venusaur): (Level 40): Can recover 40% of health.

 (Level 45): Can recover 50% of health.

 (Level 50): Can recover 55% of health.

 (Level 55): Can recover 50% health 2 times.

 (Level 60): Can also heal 30% of health during rain.

Energy ball (Venusaur) (Level 40): The power of the energy ball had increased. It looked more concentrated and its power had almost doubled.

 (Level 45): The energy ball could now spin creating more power and pressure on the move which in turn would be more deadly.

 (Level 50): Can shoot out 4 small energy balls now.

 (Level 55): The spinning of the ball is faster and is more destructive.

Water sport (Venusaur) (Level 40): Can also defend against physical fire type moves

Rain dance (Venusaur) (Level 40): It would now boost the power of 'Grassy terrain', 'Deep forest emergence' and 'Frenzy Plant'.

Sludge bomb (Venusaur) (Level 40): A massive sludge is hurled to the target. This move would now have an area effect as the area that would be effected has increased.

 Aromatherapy (Venusaur): (Level 40): Can cure middle-level status effect. Before it could only cure low level status effect and had to do it more times to be more effective.

 (Level 45): Cover a large area of 20 meters.

 (Level 50): Can also cure other status effects like intimidation and confusion. However, can only do it for oneself.

Finally, he looked at the new passive move that Venusaur had acquired after the rank-up.

It was called the 'Voice of the forest' and it was sealed. Axel could not see the description of the move cause it was sealed but the name, 'Voice of the forest' raised multiple alarms in Axel's mind.

Celebi was called the 'Voice of the forest' and the name of the move was also the same. Axel wanted to unseal this passive move but he didn't know how to do it. 

Mew had promised that if Venusaur reached king rank status, it would let Venusaur and Axel meet with Celebi. He hoped that Celebi would have an answer to it. 

This locket of Celebi was like a blessing to Venusaur. It increased its stats and also improved the move mastery and now it had given Venusaur a passive move which looked very powerful by its name.

Both of the Pokemons got ready for battle. This was going to be the last battle of the competition. Everyone was curious. They wanted to know who would win it. 

"Let the battle Begin!!!"

Venusaur gave a huge roar and then did some weird dance. Black clouds started to form around the stadium. Meanwhile, Salamence also gave a huge roar. It immediately used 'Intimidation'. Due to 'Aromatherapy', it could defend against 'Intimidation' but it still felt a lowering of its attack power. 

As Venusaur completed its dance, the rain started to fall very heavily. 

'Rain dance' was water type move but it was level 40 now and it had powered up.

Meanwhile, others were completely surprised.

"Ahhh, Cody, can Venusaur learn 'Rain dance'?", asked Lance. He didn't have knowledge of Venusaur as much as members from Venu family but he was pretty sure that Venusaur could not learn 'Rain dance'. 

"As much as my knowledge, no, it could not learn it.", said Cody.

"Then, how do you explain this phenomenon? And even if it used this move, it would have no benefit.", said Hymer.

Hymer felt that the Venu family was lying and they had been secretly able to use some water-type moves now. This angered him and also frightened him a bit. 

This 'Rain dance' was not as powerful as his 'Blastoise' but it was being used by a Venusaur, who was a grass/poison type Pokemon. He was not frightened by the power of this move but he was frightened about the possibilities of it.

Everyone looked at Axel for an explanation and Axel gave a cheeky smile.

"Why are you all looking at me?", he asked.

"I want an explanation of this. How could you Venusaur use 'Rain dance'?", asked Hymer.

It was one thing to create a new move or modified move but a completely different thing to learn a move that was not of its type.

"As per the story of Hasirama Senju, wood is the combination of water and earth. But I believe that wood is a combination of grass and water. So, how can my Venusaur master a wood type when it could not even learn some water-type moves?"
