There was a huge change in Alakazam's stats. Its stats had more than tripled. Axel had heard that when a shadow Pokemon cures or adapts from shadow element, it would boost its stats. That didn't mean that its stat would triple within 20 days.
'Is this due to my talent 'Overgrowth'?' thought Axel.

Axel's talent 'Overgrowth' would not boost the stats and move mastery if the Pokemon is training hard. It would also accumulate those experiences and boost those stats automatically. The same thing had happened to Shedinja.
One of the interesting things about Alakazam was its 'Hidden power' typing.
It was psychic. Alakazam was a psychic type Pokemon and its hidden power typing was also psychic. It never occurred to Axel's mind that a Pokemon could have the same hidden power typing.
At first, Axel thought that it was unfortunate. But later he came to realize that it was a pleasant surprise.
Having the same hidden power typing increased the mastery of hidden power. Currently, it was 40%. Shedinja and the others had been training their hidden power typing for more than 4 months and their average mastery was not even 10%
Axel also discovered that the moves mastery of psychic-type moves increased at an unusually faster rate. It should be noted that in these 2 months, Alakazam had only trained in 3 moves. Telekinesis, Flamethrower and Thunderbolt.
Other moves just increased in level without even trying anything. It should also be considered that the mastery of moves increased due to the cure of its shadow status and Axel's talent 'overgrowth'.
However, the increase in the level of moves was insane. The increase was more than 10 levels in each move and 'Telekinesis' had also reached epic stage which was the first for Axel.
Having the same typing also gave Alakazam another advantage. It could learn moves of other typing like 'Flamethrower' and 'Thunderbolt'. Normally Alakazam could not learn those moves. But psychic powers were mysterious.
On earth, Axel had seen many animes where psychic powers could be used to manipulate other elements like fire and ice. They could just manipulate the very essence of the world. Learning those 2 moves confirmed Axel's hypothesis.

Making the solution for Alakazam had another benefit for Axel. He completed the special quest of the system and was rewarded for it.

This was a good reward. With the help of this reward, Axel had set the rank-up condition for Alakazam to invent 2 new moves. The first new move that Axel had trained Alakazam when ranking up to elemental rank was now useless.
The move used the ability of Alakazam to feel pain all the time. Now it didn't feel pain due to its shadow status being removed, it was not effective. It could still be used in certain situations but Axel was not satisfied with it. So, he made the rank-up condition harder for Alakazam.
Alakazam was now the most powerful elemental rank in Axel's team even beating Shedinja. It had trained for years and finally had been rewarded for its hard work.
A year had already passed and only a year was left for one of his main quests. The quest was to be the champion in 2 years. Time was running out but he wanted his Pokemon to have a good foundation.
He knew that it was now impossible to clear the quest as the champion had champion-ranked Pokemons which was 4 ranks higher than elemental rank.
Every increase in rank was tougher and needed more time to accomplish. However, he didn't mind the failure of the main quest. He was thinking about the future.
These were his first batch of Pokemon. He would also train others when he went out to other regions. So, these Pokemons would be his main Pokemon. He wanted them to be so powerful that they could topple the whole world by raising their fingers.
He knew that he was just dreaming and if any person would hear his thoughts, they would laugh at it as a joke.
But what kind of dream would even be a dream if an outsider didn't laugh at it?
The rest of the Pokemon had also trained a lot and had progressed a lot in these 2 months. He was now ready to challenge the next gym.
It was going to be Viridian City gym.
