463 Final Battle

The discussion went on for quite some time. This discussion was board-casted to all the people in the stadium and those who were not in the stadium.

Everyone came to know that Axel's Pokemons were injured and most of them could not participate today. They felt pity for Axel. Axel had done nothing wrong. He had actually done good for the city but he was the one paying for it.

Some of the crowd started to protest. As per them, the league battle should be held after a month when all of Axel's Pokemons were perfectly healthy. This was a good thing for Axel but the battle was going to happen today. This information further decreased the reputation of the league. This looked like the league was specifically targeting Axel and it wanted Axel to fail.

This move might have given some happiness to Gerad but it was for a brief amount of time. Charles announced that Axel could challenge him any time he wanted and now the crowd was also not liking it.

League may be very big and strong but it could not stand strong if the people didn't support it. Gerad was not having a good day today. These 2 judges were independent judges. They were not from the league.

So, they didn't have any need to conceal the information. The crowd didn't know about it at first but now things had changed.

This conversation was also broadcast to all the people in the world. All of them were listening to the heated conversation of the judges. These people were also not liking it one bit. Everyone was protesting. All of them were saying that Axel should be given some time for his Pokemons to heal. But the decision had been made and even Gerad could not change it now.

The battle was going to happen after 20 minutes. The seats were already packed. All the things had been done for this fight. If Gerad was to cancel this match today, he would be ridiculed as a leader who could not make a good decision. If he were to continue it, the league would be facing some angry people.

The residents of the Kanto League city was the one who were going crazy. Crazy from anger and the decision of the league and Gerad. Axel was the general of the North Zone. Due to his leadership, the death rate of the north zone was only 37%. These people knew that if Axel had not been the leader the death rates would have been higher and their father, brother, sister or mother would not have come home from the tide.

They owed a huge debt to Axel. Axel was not part of the league. He was also not a citizen of the Kanto League city. He was an outsider and due to this outsider, they were able to see their family members and friends again but now, when that savior needed them the most, they were betraying him.

League battle was an important part of life for any trainer and Axel could not give his all cause all of these Pokemons were injured cause they fought to protect the citizens of the Kanto League city. Now, he had to lose this league battle cause he did something good.

Most of the soldiers from the north zone that was provided by the league were the citizens of the Kanto League city. They knew what had happened and how Axel achieved that victory.

So, the citizens of the Kanto League city were enraged. Some of them had even decided to leave this city and have no connection with the league. The league was now crumbling down, piece by piece.

After an hour of discussion, the battle was finally going to be held. The one who was rilling up the whole world was sipping cold coffee in his restroom. That person was Axel Blaze. Axel could see everything from the TV and the comments from the angry supporters.

He was having the time of his day. He was going to lose but he was going to lose in a grand fashion. He would let Bruno realize that he had messed up with the wrong person.

Axel had started to hate Bruno when Bruno indirectly said that he was the one who discovered the evolution of Crobat. He wanted to punish Bruno for it and today was the day and the things had been set.

After 20 minutes, he was called by a girl to go to the stadium for the battle.

"Good luck, Mr. Axel for the battle. Even if you lose, I know that you can beat Bruno at your best.", said the girl. The girl was a staff and she was also a citizen of the Kanto League city. She was fully supporting Axel.

"Let's welcome our first contestant. He is mysterious, he is powerful and he is young. He is Bruno Welts!!!", shouted the commentator.

However, the crowd response was not so good. There were some cheers from some of the people but the crowd was basically silent. Bruno didn't care if he was booed or appreciated. He came here to win and he would do it today. He was confident in himself and he wanted to win against Axel.

He walked with his head held high. He had suffered a lot in these 2 years. He didn't have a good past but he did it all. He had achieved it and he did it with his own 2 hands. He came and took his position.

The battle stadium was a normal one. There was a huge Pokeball sign at the center and it was basically filled with sand and rocks.

"Now, the challenger, he is the hero of the tide, he is the crowd favorite, my favorite, the people's champ, Axel Blaze!!!"

The crowd erupted after Axel was called out. All of them stood up from their seats and started to chant Axel's name.

"AXEL"

Even Axel had not thought that he would be cheered so much today. He had a surprised look on his face as he came towards the battle stadium. He waved his hand to the crowd and the crowd cheered again. Axel also came and took his position.

The stadium was made in such a way that Axel's and Bruno's voices would also be heard by the whole crowd. The league had spent a lot of money in this stadium and for this day.

"Finally, today I am going to beat you. Today, I would show you that I should not be underestimated.", said Bruno with a smile.

"Bruno, this is our third fight and you have lost the previous 2 fights. What makes you so confident to say that you will win today? Aren't you being arrogant again? Like the time you said that you are the one who discovered the evolution of Crobat when I did it?", asked Axel.

The crowd was getting all this information and it was new to them. First, they didn't even know that Bruno and Axel knew each other. They didn't know that they had battled before and Bruno had never won and the crowd was also surprised by the topic of Golbat's evolution.

"I am going to win today. I know that all of your Pokemons are seriously injured and you cannot give your all.", said Bruno.

"Oh, so you are a coward. Don't you want to fight me at my best?", asked Axel.

"No, I don't care if you can give your best or not. I came here to win and that is what I will do today. Let's get this over with.", said Bruno.

"Yes, you are right. Let's get this over with.", said Axel.

The referee started to say the rules again and told both of them to send out their first Pokemon.

"Axel, call the toss.", said the referee and threw the coin in the air.

"Heads.", said Axel.

"It is tails. Send out your Pokemon first.", said the referee.

"Ok, let's do it, Megalania.", shouted Axel and threw a master ball.

ROOOOARRRR

Nidoking came out and gave a big roar. Its injuries were not fully healed but its stamina was back on top. The injuries were not serious and it was a battle ready but it was still not in full health.

"Can you see Dina, Nidoking doesn't look like it is in full health. I can see all the injuries in its body. If this is the first Pokemon that Axel chose, then I don't think he has any other Pokemon to use.

This might be the final battle.", said Escanor.

"Do you really think that Nidoking cannot win against a Pokemon that Bruno uses? I think that Nidoking would be victorious.", said Dina.

The referee said to call out Bruno's Pokemon too.

"Scizor, come and finish this battle!!!", shouted Bruno and sent out Scizor.

Scizor was his third Pokemon. Everyone was surprised to see that it was also a king-rank Pokemon. It was a tier 1 king-rank Pokemon but it was still a king-rank Pokemon.

"Sci…Scizor!!!!"

This Scizor looked extremely strong and it was ready to fight. Axel saw its status:

This Scizor had a bug-type core instead of a steel type core. Steel was much better typing than bug but Axel would not underestimate a bug-type Pokemon. He also had one and it was powerful. Axel could see that it knew 3 new moves which surprised him to his core.

Bruno had started his journey at almost the same time as Axel did. Bruno didn't have a cheat like the system and he also didn't have Red or Oak. So how could he train his Pokemon to such a degree?

The stats of Scizor even when it was a king rank Pokemon were higher than Nidoking but he knew that Nidoking's actual stats were vastly stronger than Scizor.

"Let the battle begin!!!"

"Scizor, use 'Swords dance' and then start with 'Steel wing'"

"Meg, start with 'Agility'"

Scizor was a fast Pokemon and it was very fast compared to Nidoking. So, Bruno didn't find the need to use 'Agility'. He thought to use it if he needed it. So, he told it to use 'Swords dance' to improve its attack cause almost all of its attack was physical attack.

Meanwhile, Axel told Nidoking to use 'Agility' to improve its speed. By the time Nidoking had used 'Agility' 1 time, Scizor had already used 'Swords dance' 2 times and was also charging towards Nidoking with 'Steel wing'. It was that fast.

"Meg, now use 'Sandstorm'", said Axel.

Suddenly the sand around the battle area started to roar out loudly and very soon none of the crowd could perfectly see what was happening. 'Sandstorm' was now level 46 and it was a powered-up move. The storm was fierce and it was very fast.

This directly canceled Scizor's 'Steel wing'. It was flying at a low height and it crashed to the ground due to 'Sandstorm'. This was a battle of king-rank Pokemons so the power of their move was very high.

"Meg, now use 'Earthquake'", said Axel with a smile.

"Scizor, try to fly and use 'Iron defense', now!!"

Scizor tried its best to fly in the air but the sand was not letting it. It succeeded in flying but it was not able to completely dodge the attack. It was hit by 'Earthquake'.

Bruno had done the right thing by choosing Scizor for this battle. Scizor was a Pokemon that was immune to poison-type moves and Nidoking focused on poison-type moves. If it didn't have that immunity, Axel would have started with 'Sludge wave'.

However, Axel still believed that he would win this battle.
