2 JOURNEY BEGINS

After a week of reading the manual and preparing myself to become a trainer, This day comes to the Annual Pokemon Trainer Registration.

I woke up early to keep everything prepared I put all my stuff in my sling bag and wear comfortable clothes and armed myself with fighting spirit, I looked at myself in the mirror and say to myself " finally!".

When I went downstairs, I felt something unfamiliar everyone seems so quiet eating not as the usual ones. Mom and dad aren't talking to each other, Andy and skyler seem to be sad, I don't want to feel this, As I sit and start to eat mom stares at me and starts to remind me of all, I look at her, her eyes were teary,

" Now I know, This is what my mom felt when I went on my own, on a journey, It's very hard to let you go alone in the wilderness" she said.

" As a parent, We cannot interfere with our child reaching their dreams, We must support them and hope for the best for them". dad assured mom.

I know they're very worried about, being out there was very dangerous .

I looked at dad and he smiled at me

"Good luck there son", dad said, with a smile on his face.

"Thanks dad" . I replied.

"Brandon , You keep safe don't forget to call us once you reach the first pokestop . mom said in tears."

" I will mom" , I smiled at her and hug her tight . Dad , andy and skyler came close too.

Before I left them, Dad gave me the egg.

" Take care of this egg BJ , it might be hatching sometime in this week or next". dad said.

"Okay dad, I promise I'll take care of it". I answered.

I waved my hand to say goodbye at them .

I walked to the nearby Train Station, A minute later some boys and girls that wanted to be a trainer also arrived at the station. Once I heard the train sounds I take a deep breath at say to myself " its time " and wear a smile on my face.

Tut .. tut.. chug ..chug ...

I ride the train going to the city proper, And then inside I saw many young ones on board too I look for a vacant seat , there I saw in the fifth row is vacant. I got in there, sat and put my backpack beside me where I could secure my egg.

I woke up when somebody was calling me.

" Excuse me sir, sir? wake up".

When I woke up , I saw the train attendant telling me that I must go.

We're here at your destination, Pewter City.

"Okay, thank you ma'am for waking me up" . I replied.

"You're welcome sir, Have a nice pokemon journey!".

I just smiled and fixed myself, I'm finally here at Pewter City, The city of huge dreams.

There are so many pokemon trainers around here . some we're talking to each other, some are having battle and some are newbies just like me, walking and wandering the city. I walk just two blocks to reach the Pokemon Center.

As I enter the pokemon center, I've seen a lot of pokemons here like Rattata, Pidgey, and a lot more. I approached the lady on the information desk.

"Good morning ma'am , Where is the pokemon trainer registration area here?"

"Good morning too , ahem.. just took that way on the corridor and turned Left, enter the first door and someone will help you there."

"Okay ,thank you ma'am. "

I went to the corridor and someone bump me which cause to drop the poke egg.

" Ohhh .. No! .." I immediately pick it up and check it if it suffers any cracks but it has not.

The girl apologize to what happen . "Look I'm so sorry ", the girl said.

"Ohh , its okay ". I replied.

"Did your egg cracked? the girl asked.

"No , Maybe it just shaken up" . I answered with a smile.

"I'm Charm , a newly pokemon trainer and I've just finished the process of registering and I'm now an official trainer" .

"Oh I see ".. just smiled at her.

"Are you a trainer too?" she asked .

"Yup , I've just came here . I'm Brandon Jenerhael or BJ for short from Noxlas Town. "What pokemon do you have?" I asked.

"I've got 500 thousand Pokecoins worth, so I choose the best starter pokemon. Its a Buneary! you wanna see it?"

"I would love too ". I answered.

"Come on out ! My first pokemon" ! she threw the pokeball and a healthy buneary came out . its fur is totally firm and the body shape was too good. The breeder that sold this was a great one.

"You got a beautiful buneary ", I said

bunn .. bunn ..

"Thanks ", she answered .

"I'll go ahead Charm , see you later ". I wave his hands .

"Bye!" Charm said too.

As I open the door , my heart starts to beat fast , perspiration starts to pour all over my face , I feel very nervous. There i saw many people working with a lab coat, And someone approached me and said.

"Are you a Newbie" ?

"Yes".

"Come this way , Fall in line". I followed the command.

There was five on the line the first on line was been recorded all of his feature . They get his Fingerprints, his iris biometrics, and his face and it may be used as an identification.

When it's my turn, They first take me a half body and whole body pictures, next they get my fingerprint, my iris biometrics, and lastly my face, then the person commanded me to go in the other room where I was being interviewed .

All of my personal information was taken into writing and I signed up for a document that states as a membership, then this man showed me to the last door. I open it and i saw a man on lab coat he introduce himself .

"'Hi I'm Professor Gordon, I will be your Guide and Adviser".

"Hello, Please to meet you professor , I'm Brandon Jenerhael, Bj for short , from Noxlas Town".

"You came too far, to go here". he said.

"Yes professor".

He discussed all of what I had to do during pokemon training, pokemon catching and pokemon feeding. He noticed the poke egg I had with.

"I guess that is a fire type pokemon" . he said .

"How did you know it, professor?"

"Just the appearance states its type".

"Who gave you that egg?" he asked.

"That was given by a Pokemon Researcher , Professor Balmond".

"I know him very well. he is one of the prominent pokemon researcher in Kalos Region".

"Okay Bj, here is your Pokedex, all of the pokemon species are there when you are unfamiliar just focus this lens on it and it will tell you the pokemon name, its type and its description".

"Here is your Pokeball, Use this to catch pokemon. I'm gonna remind you that don't waste this pokeball it is limited to you and those newbies".

"Here is your pokemon ID Card, this serves as your identification, gives you accurate location, it serves as teller card also where you can​ deposit or withdraw pokecoins and money".

"Your Father, Just pay your registration fee and your starter pack fee".

"How much did he pay?" I asked.

"65 thousand Poke coins."

"Now choose your starter, Just remind you the pokemon we will show to you is equivalent to what your father paid" .

"Here are four pokemons, all are with different types .

First is Zubat, Bat pokemon, a Poison/ Flying type.

Second is Gastly, a gas pokemon, a Ghost type as well as poison type.

Next is Poliwag, a tadpole pokemon, a Water type, and lastly, Growlithe, Puppy pokemon, a fire type pokemon".

I was expecting for the common starters in the Kanto Region Dex, but unfortunately they're not available anymore, It seems that the Pokemon World body had changes in their starter pokemon system.

"Now choose wisely , once you choose you will never be able to change it".

I took a moment to think then I decided,

"Professor I want to be my first pokemon is Growlithe."

Growlithe is a quadrupedal, canine Pokémon. It has orange fur with black stripes along its back and legs. The fur on its muzzle, chest, belly, and tail is cream-colored, as well as an additional tuft of fur on top of its head. Growlithe's coat is noticeably longer on its chest and tail. It has gray eyes, a black nose, and large, round ears. Its forepaws have two visible claws, while its hind paws have three toes each. Each paw has a brown pad.

Growlithe is a friendly and loyal Pokémon that will fearlessly defend its trainer and territory from harm, even against larger, stronger enemies. It will fiercely bark at, bite, and chase away any perceived threat, including those who suddenly approach its Trainer. Otherwise, this obedient Pokémon will wait motionlessly until given an order. Growlithe also has a powerful olfactory sense. If it detects an unknown smell in its territory, it roars to flush out the intruder. It is able to smell the emotions of others, and never forgets a scent. However, strong, unpleasant smells can disable its sense of smell for short periods. Growlithe can be commonly found in grassy plains .

I greet my first pokemon ,"Hi Growlithe , I'm Bj.

you and I will be partners and will make our journey together ".

Grooo .. lit....eeee..

It came to me ang lick me all over my face ..

"Hahahaha .. Good boy !"

"Yes! Finally! I'm a trainer!! " said to my mind.

"Thank you professor I would be the one of the greatest pokemon trainer you've guided."

"Your welcome, Just to remind you Bj, If you reach your first PokeStop or pokemon center contact me, tell me what you need, what are your problems, and I'll be guiding you ."

"Okay professor, I'll better go, bye !"

"Good luck Bj!"

On the city , I walk on the park together with Growlithe and I'm observing his attitude.

"Growlithe listen I am your trainer and I want you to show me your moves so that I can prepare what training we'll do."

"Grooww.. Groo.."

Growlithe moves are quite interesting . So i must start training him by strengthening his Fire Power maybe I can buy some chili bombs to boost its fire . Chili bombs are special pokemon food for fire types, it help this to boost their Fire Power inside .

On the outside, I met a new trainer named Hienrrich, he is a newbie trainer too, and we do a lot of talk about our favorite pokemon and we roamed the city .

"Hey, Hienrrich by the way what is your starter pokemon?".

"Uhm , My Starter pokemon is Chimchar."

"You got fire type pokemon too, Come on out there, Growlithe!"

"Grooww ...arf .."

"You too . Chimchar !"

Chim...charrr....

" How unusual, Why your starter is not a common starter pokemon?" he asked curiously.

" I don't know too, may be the Pokemon World body just changes their system on distribution of Starter Pokemon. I cannot back out at that moment since that is the only time left for me to become a Pokemon trainer." I said.

We just received a notification on our Pokedex about some little changes in our starter system, It is confirmed that they randomly select regional pokemon from the registered National dex in every region.

We and our pokemon became friends, We both went to Pewter City Pokemon Center to take a rest and be ready for tomorrow .
