8 FIRST GYM BATTLE 2

We walked about 10 minutes and finally reach the Pewter City Gym its already 11 am and Hiennrich gym battle was about to held. Exactly 11:15 am Hiennrich first gym battle started im which I watched.

The gym assistant told Hiennrich the rules in the match as well as the gym leader .

" Good day to us , Pewter City Gym Leader Brock is hereby challenged by Hiennrich from Pallet Town for a Star Badge , This match is a 3 versus 3 pokemon battle both trainers will choose three pokemons only for the match the trainer who had the last pokemon standing will be the winner ."

" Hi, I'm Brock the Gym Leader of this City. "

Yes , Brock is the current gym leader of Pewter City . He is Ash's best buddy he went back to Pewter City when ash is already in Kalos and rejoin him in the Alola Region, Today we will be facing a great rock type trainer. He might used his Mega Steelix here or even his powerful Foretrees.

" Hi, I'm Hiennrich from Pallet Town and I came here for the Star badge . "

" You from Pallet Town?"

" Yes "

" You know about Ash ?"

" Yes , He is a Alolan League Champion ."

The commentator just announced the match has been started . Hiennrich uses his Pidgey first, while Brock chose Graveler, a clear disadvantage to Hienrrich since rock type can easily defeat fying type.

Graveler is a living, bipedal boulder. It has a rocky crest about its small eyes. It has four arms, each with a three-fingered hand.In that, despite having legs, it can revert to a legless form. This grants it the ability to float.

Its preferred locomotion is rolling, specifically because it is a slow walker. It often rolls down mountain paths at high speeds, crushing objects in the way and stopping by running into huge rocks. If it breaks or shatters, it has the ability to restore itself overtime. Graveler climbs a mountain from base to summit, feasting on rocks all the while. Upon reaching the peak, Graveler rolls down to the bottom. Graveler can be often found on mountain tails.

Hiennrich do the first move .

" Pidgey use Gust ! "

Piiiii...piiiiii....

That gust seems too powerful but Graveler stood firm.

Brock make his turn.

" Graveler uses Rock throw!"

" Pidgey Dodge it by spinning ."

Pidgey unbelievably dodges all the rocks while on a circular motion, Brock seems surprised.

" Then use Aerial ace !"

A dust of clouds went on them as Pidgey hit Graveler, and when the dust disappear Graveler is fainted which means Pidgey won. The unbelievable maneuverability of his pokemon turn out to be good technique.

" You surprised in that attack newbie " Brock said .

" Return Graveler .. , Come out now Sudowoodo ! "

Sudooo .. wooo doo..

Sudowoodo has a brown, log-shaped body with yellow spots. It has short legs with toeless feet and thin forelegs with three green spheres at the ends. It has a forked "branch" on top of its head, which is shorter on the female than on the male. Despite its appearance, Sudowoodo's composition is closer to a rock than a plant.

" Sudowoodo jump and use Wood Hammer "

Sudoo ... woodo ..

" Pidgey use gust "

But Pidgey is unable to stop Sudowoodo attack which made it fainted .

"Great work Sudowoodo! " Brock said gladly .

" You did a god job Pidgey, take a rest now ".

Hienrrich show his second pokemon .

" Let's go Chimchar ! "

Chimm... Chimm charr..

" Chimchar use Ember ! "

" Sudowoodo Block it !"

Sudowoodo successfully blocked the attack but it dealt damage to it, He uses his unique tactic to his advantage.

" Chimchar use Flamethrower "

" Sudowoodo jump and use Rock Slide !"

" Chimchar dodge it and use ember ."

" Oh no! Sudowoodo!"

Sudowoodo is unable to battle which means Chimchar wins.

" You're doing a good job Hiennrich ". I shouted .

He look at me and smiled .

" Thanks Bro ."

Brock summons his last pokemon .

" Let's go Toxicroak ! "

Toxii.. croakk.. croak ...

Toxicroak is a dark blue and teal, bipedal Pokémon resembling a poison dart frog. Its head bears a gently-upward curling spike which seems to be a part of the skull. Its eyes are bright yellow, sinister and intimidating, with a small snake-like pupil. Its mouth gives an appearance of a mouth-guard, with its red upper lip curling upward at the ends in a very intimidating manner. Underneath its chin is a bulbous red vocal sac, which is smaller on a female Toxicroak. It has three fingers and one large red claw on the back of each hand. These claws on the backs of their hands can channel poison. Its forearms have two black rings encircling them. Its legs are muscular and seem to be adapted for speedy attacks. It has three toes on its feet, with a red middle toe on each foot, and a sharp spike which juts out of its heels. Underneath the pelvic area are two white horizontal lines. Thick black lines run down the sides of its body and surrounding its limbs, making them seem as if the limbs are detachable. The black lines go up into its face and surround the eyes before meeting in the middle of its snout, just above the upper lip.

By croaking, Toxicroak churns the poison stored in the poison sac on their throat for more potency. Toxicroak gives off poison with stings, though it can poison when touched. It can be cruel and fearsome, or it can be quite laid-back, relaxing on rocks and in marshes, studying the views around it. Toxicroak lives in moist areas around bodies of water.

" Be careful with it. ", I said as warning to Hiennrich.

" I can handle this". he replied.

Brock oredered his Toxicroak to attack

" Toxicroak use quick attack until you get close hit it with poison jab "

Croak ...croak...

"Chimchar dodge it !"

But chimchar is unable to dodge it , it fainted and now is poisoned .

" Sorry Chimchar , I'll take you to Pokemon Center later when I finished the battle ."

" How confident you are kiddo " . Brock said .

" Yes , I'll get the Star badge " Hiennrich replied.

Hiennrich summons his last pokemon .

" Let's go Ghastly !".

Ghaaaahh.. Ghastly ..

" Ghastly use Sucker Punch "

Ghaaaahh .. sttly ..

" Toxicroak dodge and use Poison Pin ."

Toxicroak is able to dodge it and Ghastly also able to dodge . They continue fighting until they both felt tired.

" Let's finish this Toxicroak with Poison jab ."

Toxii croakk ...

" Ghastly Night shade ."

Toxicroak became unconscious and control by Ghastly .

" Finish it with Dream Eater ."

Ghaaaahh ..

Successfully Ghastly defeated Toxicroak and fainted.

"Toxicroak is unable to battle which means Hiennrich is the winner . "

Hiennrich jumped high through the air in his first victory. He hugged his ghastly and smiled widely .

"Congratulations Hiennrich , You're a Honorable opponent that fight was really awesome . It energizes my blood I feel a great excitement with that battle."

" Thank you Sir Brock, it was really a good fight I was so lucky to win against you." Hiennrich answered.

" Here you go , The Boulder badge " Brock gave Hiennrich his first star badge .

Hiennrich raised it high through the air , I feel excited to have that Boulder badge mine too. I went to him and congratulate him ..

" Congratulations bro ! You did it well ".

" Thanks bro , You're next to have this. Good luck on your upcoming battle . "

" I'll get that whatever it takes ".

" That's good fighting spirit bro! "

The gym assistant went to us and spoke to me ..

" Are you the next challenger ?"

" Yes sir ." I replied.

" Your fight will start at exactly 12 , be here at 11:50 ."

" Okay sir ."

We went to eat for lunch in the nearby restaurant, we talked a lot about the fight . He told me some battle strategies and some battle adjustment .After we satisfied our stomach we decided to go back in the gym .

At exactly 12 noon the gym assistant called me for the battle is about to start , nervousness spread throughout my body I can't even hear what my buddy had telling me I only hear my footsteps and my heart beat.

I tried to make my self calm down but it won't effect good thing I remembered what dad said to have a fighting spirit and be determined which give me back to reality . I want a badge !! I really want it !! now my roaring emotion builds up I'm eager now to get that badge.

" Your battle is about to begin , Are you both ready? " the gym assistant asked us.

" Yes !! " I shouted to lessen the nervousness I feel.

Brock just nodded .

Its Brock of Pewter City versus Brandon Jenerhael of Noxlas Lake Town it will be a 3 on 3 pokemon battle for the Star badge . Let the battle begin !

Brock summons his first pokemon ..

" Come on out Onix ! "

Ooooo ... nixxxxx...

Onix resembles a giant chain of gray boulders that become smaller towards the tail. It has a rocky spine on its head and a pair of black eyes right beneath it. This Pokémon has a magnet in its brain that serves as an internal compass. Its body absorbs many hard objects, making its body very solid. As it grows older, it becomes more rounded and smoother, eventually becoming similar to black diamonds.

Onix tunnels under the ground at over 50 miles (80 kilometers) per hour, which causes tremors and a terrifying roar that echoes a long way. The massive, winding tunnels it leaves behind are used as homes by Diglett. Onix loves to eat the large boulders it encounters while burrowing underground.Onix is capable of rotating its head, or any part of its body, in a full 360 degrees. It is a very aggressive Pokémon that will constantly attack humans and other Pokémon when in pain, . Onix can be found in mountains and caves, though it prefers underground tunnels with little light.

I never seen a Onix as huge as this , it was my first time to see this in my front . I heavily breath and choose my first pokemon.

" I choose you , Show your prowess Golbat !! "

Goooolllll..battt..

" You got a golbat ! " Brock said .

" Yap "

" Onix Use Stone Edge "

Ooonnixxxx...

" Golbat dodge it ! "

Golbat successfully dodged all the rocks coming after it.

" Now let's fight back ! Use Poison Sting! "

Goll.. bat..

Onix is poisoned and seems weakening so I take the advantage .

" Golbat use wing attack!"

Goollll...

" Counter it Onix with bind !"

Onix wrapped Golbat and it cannot move, the pressure made by Onix attack seems hurt Golbat.

Think ! Think ! Think ! I came up with a idea to imply more poison to Onix so I ordered Golbat to use Poison Fang.

" Poison Fang Golbat ! ",

" Now finished it with Supersonic !"

A ear dropping tone sounded around the Arena and left Onix fainted which means I win the first phase.

" That was an excellent idea , I'm impressed ." Brock praised me .

" Thank you ."

" But you won't go home with my badge! " Brock confidently said.

" Behold my next pokemon, Let's go Forretress !"

Foorrree.. tresss..

Forretress is a large, spherical Pokémon with no visible limbs. The upper and lower halves of its body are capped by bumpy steel plates. The outer plates have zigzagging ridges that open along its back and front, revealing its smooth, red inner shell. The inner shell is punctuated by four cylindrical spikes, each tapering to an open point. Between the spikes, the inner shell opens along a straight line to reveal Forretress's eyes, which are round with large pupils. Whatever else lies inside its shell is unknown.

Forretress can defend itself from enemies by shooting out pieces of its outer shell, as a conditioned reflex rather than a conscious effort. It opens its shell to capture prey, but this happens so quickly that its interior body cannot be seen. It lives in forests, attaching itself immovably to tree trunks.

He is really in this battle ( I said in my mind) so I must be able to match the determination he had .

Return back Golbat ..

" Come on out , Growlithe "

Grooww.. lithee..

With no hesitation Brock commanded his pokemon to attack .

" Forretress use Gyro ball ! "

" Growlithe try to dodge it "

Even Growlithe managed to dodge he endure so damage from that attack , I see that Brock is totally serious in this fight.

" Growlithe quick attack !"

" Forretress recurved and use Rapid spin !"

Foorrree ..

As Growlithe jump to Forretress , hit it while spinning and both went down to the ground . Growlithe is still able to fight so I continuously ordered it to get a close range combat.

" Growlithe use Fire fang ."

" Forretress recurved again , and use Explosion !"

Oopps !.. I didn't see that coming ..

An Explosion take side on the Arena , Growlithe is fainted .

" That was a wrong move fellah !" Brock said with a evil smile.

" Take a rest Growlithe "

" Return Back Golbat ! "

Goollll.. bat..

" Golbat use Supersonic ! "

" Forretress recurved , and use rapid spin !"

Again that move hit Golbat and dealt damage to it.

" Are you okay ? Golbat ??"

Goollll ...bat...

" Use poison fang ! "

" Counter it with Gyro ball !"

Forretress was hit by the poison move but it is able to defeat my Golbat. I'm on a near lost situation I must finish this fast in order to make a third bout.

" Scyther I trust you , Come on out ! "

Scytheeerrr ...

" Return Forretress .. Let's get it done Ludicolo !"

Ludi ... coo..looo..

Ludicolo is a bipedal Pokémon that appears to be a mixture of a pineapple and a duck. There is a green, sombrero-like growth on its head that is similar to a lily pad. Growing out of the top of its head is a short brown stem with a yellow spiky upper portion. It has black eyes surrounded by a patch of green and an orange bill. Its body is covered with shaggy yellow fur and has several zigzagging brown stripes. The female has thinner stripes than the male. It has large, green hands with two black lines on its palms. It has thick green legs with a black circle on the underside of its feet. Ludicolo becomes more powerful when it hears festive music and will appear near laughing children on hikes. As it becomes more energetic and active, it will break into a dance. Ludicolo lives near the waters edge.

" Ludicolo use Rain dish ! "

" Scyther use double slash !"

Scyther attack does nothing and it because Ludicolo use Rain dish . It absorbs all damage made by the opponent .

" Ludicolo uses Water Pulse!"

Scyther endure a lethal hit and went down . It was my most saddest moment when it went down. I shouted scyther to stand up a lot of times . And I saw him lighted up with green bright light , it stood up . I feel so relief !

It surprisingly showed up its hidden ability , Steadfast . This ability double its damage and increases its maximum speed.

" Scyther use X- scissor !"

Scytheeerrr !!.

A fast moving green light shown and attack Ludicolo . Brock is surprised with that and left him silenced.

" Finish him with Cut ! "

scytheeerrr ....

Ludicolo suffers injury and fainted..

" Good job scyther ! " I said gladly .

" It's not over yet, " Brock seriously told.

" I know " I answered .

" Get back here and finished this Forretress ! "

Foorrree .. tresss..

" Forretress use Rapid spin !".

" Scyther fly and use X- scissor !"

Scytheeerrr ..

It turned into an aerial battle so that I couldn't hit by his Forretress where both of the pokemon fighting through the air.

" I came here not to Lose ! I came here to win !!" I shouted .

" Scyther finish it with Cross Cut ! "

scytheeerrr !

" Counter it with Gyro ball !"

A big dust cloud emerge and when it got off there Scyther left standing as Forretress is fainted. And that definitely means I won the match !!

I jump as high as I can and Hugged Scyther tight like it couldn't breath . I really admire the determination of this pokemon he totally nailed it ..

" Yes , I won ! Scyther we won !! "

Scytheeerrr .. Scytheeerrr ..

" Congratulations , It was a great fight and I almost lost my temper ."

" Thanks , You are really a honourable opponent Sir Brock ! "

" It is my honor too ." " Here take this , This is your reward . The boulder badge ".

" Yes I did it ."

I raised this badge high , I claimed it ! I really work hard for this . This is the greatest feeling I've ever wanted to won a gym battle .

I praised Brock for being a honourable opponent he totally bring what is inside me.

" You are a remarkable opponent ". Brock said .

" You too , I learn a lot in that battle ."

I take a moment to look at my first badge , it is shaped like a carved stone with a one star on it which represent it as a star badge.

We both bow our heads as a sign of respect to each other and had shake hands . The official also give me a certificate in which it said that I successfully won the gym battle .

Hiennrich and I headed now to the pokemon Center to deposit their pokemon for full recovery .
