The next fight was fought was a real doozer, i mean how the hell a freaking untrained skitty defeat a freaking desert-trained cobra

The fight only lasted a minute before my fight against another person which was a girl who had a azurill as a starter which I defeated quickly, i mean it was trained but not that much…

Anywho, this is the list of the winners

Winning a travel bag was good enough for me, and winning some extra pd's? even better, oh yeah somehow knowing the egg came from a bug-type agate wanted to sell it to me for 2000pd… which i accepted, i mean it should be somehow special right?

Cuz, they won't make it a prize? So yeah, gained an egg and lost 2k pd, was it worth it? Probably

Getting 3rd place got me some praise from my matron aka my mother, which made my face bloom, and getting a winning jab from everyone in the orphanage. Even better!

And so, for the next month to come, we were either training or doing the trainee job that i signed up for, while also doing odd jobs to get some budget before I started my journey, i also developed some power moves and tricks with my pokemon

Although they are working in progress, i mean we have a lead on how to do them and just needed to perfect them, oh yeah i got into a habit of observing old codgers fight newbies, and writing some notes on the trainers that were passing by

There are days that some trainers or visitors in the village are downright bad, and somehow i get to meet them most of the time, and by the way, i got so used to it, it became funny to me because i get to scam them some money 'legally'

Like right now, i am facing a trainer which challenges me to a battle with his murdered fire puppy

"Hehe, you're going down trainee"

"…Sure?"

"Tsk, start the battle ref"

"Rude, but this is a battle between Arth and Dewpider against ??? and Houndour with a wager of 10,000 pd"

"Are both of you ready?"

""Yes""

"Dewpider set the field!" (Silk trap)

"Hopeless, HAHAHAHA show them that they're inferior to you! Incinerate!"

And then it happened

"….?? Awoo??"

"Grr, you stupid dog, blast flames at that stupid bug!!"

"Awoo??"

"…i know this is comical BUT let's end this Dewpider… bubble beam"

"Piiiiiii"

The poor dog didn't even move when the bubble hit him and just got knocked out, his stupid trainer just cussed out with a lot of 'words' blaming his dog, then me, telling me that the fight was rigged and the referee was doing something shady

Which i say and directed

"Bruh… we are literally at the back of the pokecenter why do you think there are cameras around?"

"Grrrr!! I will tell my daddy about thiiiiisss"

And with a clink, my dex updated with another freebie pd's

"Bro, i know about all the shits and giggles but maaan this never gets old!"

"Hahaha, i know"

"I wonder if i will get to witness the second scene?"

"I missed the recent one, you know and it happened last week!"

Following those routines, we became famous, me and my starter whom i named Arche, we were coined as the must-be defeated before your first gym, and it was heck TICK, i mean i was glad that i got to exchange some of them for some items such as

Poke flute, binding band, coupons, etc… of course, i got some regulars as well like poke balls, berries, and some random leaves, not all battles are won some are crushed, like that one time with a grass fire Pokemon

Named Scovillain, we were downright at a disadvantage at the battle, because of a lot of fire moves and grass moves, which restricted us a lot, but we did gain a lot from that which included a rank up from our move pool and an understanding on what we can improve.

We knew that our movement speed sucks so to compensate that i designed his training for maneuvers that are simply impossible for a human, we did a lot of parkours as well which was fun until you woke up a freaking pincer or heracross and g*d forbid beedrill's

We've managed to gain a lot of pd's to improve the orphanage and get the official title for it, which was not cheap but not that expensive.

besides training and doing missions, we've been scourging for moves and how to improve them and most of all how to defend against them, i mean getting Pokemon who is hard working will get you to far away and that's what made my partner.

a lot different from the others since, the trainees either gave up or couldn't finish the quota so they were ejected from the trainee program, not to toot my horn but we were famous in the town!! Besides being a mid-stage boss I've gained recognition

as one of the remarkable bug trainers in the town!! And that got me a lot of praise and benefits, hahaha with all the hard work that we did we still came short of defeating some kids, but hey i am proud to say that with a ratio of 85%-win rate. Haaa!!

i am goooood, although it was kind of sad that my rival/ friend gets to start his journey first, it just motivated me to get stronger as much as we could.

oh yeah did you remember that egg that i exchanged/ bought it hatched into a male Durant, it was really cute!! But put you to the test, it's like hatching a deino or so i heard.

For the first few weeks, Durant kept on biting things until I got to buy a metal coat that came from an aron leftover shedding, then i registered Durant as my second Pokemon which i was allowed to do because i already finished a millstone.

By defeating 100 trainers and getting an overall +70% rating! Because of this, i get to be at places that i never knew existed until i was prompted by my dex... we will explore them when its time but for now

Impressive right? I know, who knew that these improvements would take us so long? But to compensate for our lack of levels, the moves are freaking high!!
