106 S5E2: Secrets - Part Two

Meanwhile in the woods Dawn and Joy had found a comfy log to sit on and talk. They both were a bit nervous to start seeing as Joy was filled with puzzling questions while Dawn was a bit scared of what Joy and Foxx were discussing on the way to the camp site. Yet with a sigh Dawn pushed her fears back and started the telepathic conversation.

"So Foxx told me that you had something you've been wanting to ask me?" shyly asked Dawn with a smile as she lifted Joy up into her lap.

"Yes, but now I seem to have more then just the one question if that's okay?" asked Joy as she got comfortable in Dawn's lap.

"Well, lets start with one and go from there." replied Dawn with a smile.

"Okay, do you love Foxx? and I don't mean like a friend or something but do you really love him?" asked Joy as she rolled onto her back and looked up at Dawn who was a bit caught off guard by the question.

"Well, to be honest we've only known each other for such a short time it's hard to say how deep our love for one another goes but if you're asking me if I'd consider him my boyfriend and that I'd want no one else to fill that slot in my life then yes." replied Dawn with a smile.

"Then why don't you marry him?" asked Joy with a smile as it seemed she enjoyed the answer.

"Well, were both children." replied Dawn looking down at Joy, but upon seeing the confusion in her eyes at the term children she added, "Um, let's see we're kits, no that'd be too young I guess the best term to use for you would be cubs. Yes we're just human cubs."

"Oh." sighed Joy as she rolled onto her side and stared off into the woods.

"Hay, don't be like that I'm not saying someday we wouldn't get married, especially with you chasing off any girl who looks at him funny." replied Dawn with a smile before asking, "So what was it that Foxx scolded you about on the way here?"

"Oh I asked if he planned on mating with you in the tent later and he seemed to get very upset about it. I'm not sure why he seems to love you just as much as you love him I don't see why you wouldn't want to have an egg with him." replied Joy as she once more rolled onto her back to look up at Dawn who was once more caught off guard by the question.

"Um, well to answer that question first I return to the comment about us only being cubs and matting isn't something one does until they get married." explained Dawn as she rubbed the back of her neck nervously.

"But didn't Foxx's parents lay him before they got married?" asked Joy with great confusion in her eyes as she tilted her head ever so slightly.

"One that was a rare exception to the mating before marriage thing I mentioned." replied Dawn with a sigh before adding, "And second humans don't lay eggs."

"Oh then where do your kits come from?" asked Joy as she sat up on Dawn's lap to look her more directly in the eyes.

"Well, after mating the kit develops inside of the mother's belly until she um, gives birth to it when um, the kit is ready." explained Dawn as best as she could never thinking she'd have to explain this to a pokemon ever in her life but then again what would she expect from one of her weird and crazy boyfriend's pokemon. In fact this made her love Foxx just a little bit more.

"Wouldn't that make you fat?" asked Joy as she placed first a paw on Dawn's belly before lowering an ear towards it.

"Hay, there is no kit in there! Besides it's only a temporary growth and a happy one." huffed Dawn as she scooped up Joy to look her in the eyes and warn her. "Now none of this finds its way back to Foxx is that understood missy?"

"Afraid he wont love you as much if it did?" teased Joy before licking Dawn's nose playfully.

"No, it's mostly because I think he's a bit scared of what's to come of our relationship since we're still so young." sighed Dawn as she slowly lowered Joy to the ground at her feet before adding, "And I don't blame him. We live a long distance from each other and both have completely different dreams. He want's to be a pokeball professor while I want to be a pokemon contestant champion."

"So? Who ever said you have to like all of the same things for you to be happy together? Isn't it enough for you to just love each other?" asked Joy with a smile that seemed to be contagious.

"I guess you're right plus he did invite me to join him when he continues his research, which would give me a larger experience of culture and fashion." replied Dawn with a smile.

"Not to mention that you'll get to see more of the world." replied Joy before once more hopping back up onto Dawn's lap.

"You know that's right I had never thought about that I guess." replied Dawn as she lifted Joy once more off her lap but instead of setting her on the ground she stood up with Joy in her arms before adding, "We best be heading back to Foxx before he gets worried that we ran off together."

"Why would he think that? We're both females besides humans and pokemon are not mate compatible." confusingly asked Joy from Dawn's arms.

"Never mind, and that comment gets you walking back." replied Dawn as she sat Joy on the ground and started back for the camp shaking her head from side to side.

"You humans are very confusing creatures with weird and odd thoughts and habits." sighed Joy as she followed after Dawn.
