99 S4E21: Pastoria

"Okay." nervously replied Foxx as he unlocked his tablet and slowly handed it over to her.

This would be the first time he ever let someone do anything on his tablet seeing it is where he keeps many of his invention specs as well as the program that allows him to run diagnostic and reprogram pokeballs. Thus he stood there very nervous as Fantina poked a few things and entering in a code or two as she was supposedly installing something.

"There now that wasn't hard." replied Fantina as she finished the install and handed the tablet back to him with a smile before adding, "I figured after getting Dawn a gift you'd head up to the city deck and pick up some electronic components for one of your inventions or something like that thus I went to the legends deck and purchased a digital copy of "<i>The Complete Encyclopedia of Pokemon Legends & Myths"</i> for you as a thank you gift for everything you've done for me to cheer me up and make me feel good on this trip thus far."<i></i>

"Thanks but not really sure when I might get the time to read through it but who knows maybe it my even hold some of the answers of which I seek concerning the G.S. Ball" replied Foxx with a smile.

From there Foxx and Fantina returned to their packing and he had finished his just as the ship docked in port and made the announcement that it was now safe to disembark from the ship to Pastoria which is exactly what they did. The view was beautiful just like most beach slash port cities. Now Foxx allowed Fantina to lead the way as he carried Joy since this was the main part of traveling by boat that she hated. Fantina lead the way first to a little dinner for them to grab a quick lunch before stopping off at a Pokecenter to heal his pokemon. It was at that point that they finally headed for the gym to which she went to the audience section while Foxx approached the battle arena where Crasher Wake was already waiting for him and grinning.

"Rumor had it hat Fantina was traveling with a promising young trainer but I didn't expect one so small." mocked Crasher Wake before laughing.

"Send out your first pokemon and we will see who is small." replied Foxx as he took position and readied his own first pokemon.

"Hmm, bold and courageous I like it." replied Crasher Wake before sending out gyarados.

In response Foxx just grinned as he sent out eevee and nodded to her and she raced at him leaping into the air before doing a flip summoning up a powerful thunder bolt of which she flicked at the gyarados with her tail causing it to strike it right in it's large wide opened mouth. Shocked Crasher Wake watched as eevee the dodged the fainting gyarados as it fell to the ground.

Next up Crasher Wake sent out quagsire to which Foxx had faced one once before and recalled eevee and sent out Joy who would be able to handle its ice attacks but could also hit it with a combo of fire and psychic attacks which she did but also took a nasty sludge bomb in the process and was about to get hit with a second one when she fired of a well times ember causing the sludge bomb to explode in its mouth leading to it fainting but she wasn't really going to be able to continue any longer thus Foxx called her back to his side to rest.

Crasher Wake sent out his last pokemon, floatzel, to which Foxx sent eevee back out. Yet Crasher was ready for a thunder attack as eevee once more charged into battle leaping into the air, performing a flip before sending a thunder shock from her tail right at floatzel who inflated his flotation sakes and deflected the attack. This type of combat repeated a few more times with different electric attacks but they all were deflected away.

Then in a last minute attempt to defeat her foe eevee charged him, leaped into the air except this time she didn't perform the flip. No this time she fired off a powerful water gun soaking foaltzel and aided her in pulling off a back flip which gave her the perfect opportunity to flick out her tail at floatzel ever so lightly thus releasing and sending a thunder ball right at it to which is even though floatzel inflated his floatation sakes the fact he was soaked canceled out the ability to deflect the attack sending an electrical shock all throughout its body stunning it for a minute.

It was in that moment that eevee gracefully landed and unleashed a tri-beam attack. In other words she fired of an ice beam followed by a solar beam finished off with a psybeam and since floatzel was still stunned by the thunder ball attack it was unable to block or dodge any of the beam attacks thus being completely knocked out.

"Wow, that's quite the eevee you have there kid." called Crasher Wake as he recalled floatzel and Foxx bent down to start healing Joy. "Not to mention that vulpix of yours. Now I see that the rumors were more then rumors after all. You got some real talent kid."

"Thanks but I usually resort to battling as a last resort. I'm only doing the gym challenges because everyone keeps telling me that it will help my credibility as knowing a bit about pokemon." explained Foxx standing to his feet after healing Joy and as Crasher Wake approached him.

"Either way kid you earned this." replied Crasher Wake as he handed Foxx the Fen Badge for him to add to his scrambled collection. "No let see you take on Fantina with her unique style. Good luck kid."

"I already beat her." confessed Foxx as he reveal the badge he got from her as well as all four orange island badges and the pin Silvia got him.
