S1E2:This Is Good-Bye

The sad day had finally come when Foxx would have to say goodbye to his friend Pikachu. He had hoped that he might get to choose him as a starter but he was three years too young. For this was the night before Ash and Gary were meant to start their journeys and there weren't going to be enough starters.

So sitting in Professor Oak's lab holding Pikachu he whispered, "I'm going to miss you buddy. I know you're going to make a great starter Pokemon for someone."

"Pika. Pi." replied Pikachu as it tipped his head to one side and watched the tears slide down Foxx's check.

"You're going to have to get used to being in a Pokeball though. I'll try to make it bit more comfortable for you before tomorrow." cried Foxx as shifted Pikachu so he could pick up Pikachu's Pokeball and connected his computer to it.

He then keyed in a few things before pulling out a small tool kit to modify the ball itself. Foxx focused on minor details as he tweaked some of the panels to increase the comfort level inside the ball as best as possible.

Professor Oak was watching off to the side touched by the scene and not wanting to separate these two but he had no choice. The boy would learn in due time that we all have to make hard choices in life. But for now he'd let the boy and Pikachu enjoy their last moments together.
