1 Chapter 1: Die?

In Tokyo City, in Block 2, there was an old apartment. It was a two-floor apartment made of wood, kind of like an old design.

Inside the second floor's bedroom, a guy could be seen sitting on a chair while watching an anime called "Pokémon."

It was an anime that was released almost 22 years ago, and the guy was a fan of it since his childhood.

Right now, he's watching the last episode— no, the last episode as it will still continue but without the original main character, Ash Ketchum.

While watching, he couldn't help but complain, "Man! Why the hell would the animators decide to replace Ash? I seriously wish for him to continue his journey, but alas, it's not within my power to do anything to them." Sighing heavily, he stood up from the chair he was sitting in and went to the toilet to do the unfinished business he's been holding back because he was watching the last episode.

Getting out of the toilet, he dressed up in a plain white T-shirt with jeans and went to the supermarket to buy ingredients for his dinner.

...

He is Mark Smith, an orphan whose parents died in a plane crash when he was 15 years old, and it has been 4 years since then. After his parents died, he was sent to the orphanage by his relatives as no one wanted to adopt him.

During his 3-year stay in the orphanage, he was treated well, and the woman in charge of taking care of the kids was also kind-hearted.

After his stay in the orphanage and getting out of it, he used the savings his dead parents left for him to buy cryptos since it wasn't that popular during that time. He was able to buy 10,000 cryptos from his dead parents' money.

He bought it on a whim because his instincts were telling him to, and it unexpectedly blew up, increasing his crypto's value by a large margin. Since he became rich, he became an otaku.

Staying home all day, watching anime, and for food, he would sometimes order from McDonald's or Pizza Hut, but he would buy ingredients and cook himself most of the time as he knew how to cook because his mother taught him when he was 11 or 12.

...

(Now, back to the present.)

After he bought the ingredients needed for today's dinner, Mark left the supermarket and headed toward his apartment while he was watching anime edits with his ears plugged with AirPods.

"Gotta catch'em all! Pokémon~"

He was listening to the theme song of Pokémon because it was his favorite song from childhood.

He was so engrossed in it that he didn't notice that he was at the crossroad, and by the time he noticed it, he was sent flying by the infamous "Truck-kun," who was infamous for isekai-ing people to another world.

"Ah! Shit! I should have focused on the roads instead of listening to the song with full sound." Those were his last words as he was surrounded by people who called an ambulance, but it was too late.

***

In a dark, empty space where there wasn't a trace of light, there were two huge pairs of slit red eyes focusing on a soul that was roaming in their domain.

"Hmm! Amazing! A mortal capable of surviving in my domain and not getting turned into dust right away. Hahaha." Those huge pairs of eyes suddenly turned into a middle-aged man with a long beard, wearing a long white robe as he stroked his long beard.

"Wake up! Mortal," he said, and instinctively, the soul woke up and looked around with calmness.

"Oh! A calm one? Indeed! A mortal who can survive in my domain can't be ordinary." He nodded his head as he stroked his beard.

"So... old man! Where are we?" The soul asked as he looked around in confusion, not knowing where he was because he remembered being clearly.

"Don't call me old man! Child. I'm what you mortals call God, and you are in my domain." He said with a hint of pride, pride in his position.

"Oh! So, where am I going to? Heaven, hell?" The soul said with so much calmness that it was terrifying, but the God remained silent because he has seen worse.

"Aren't you doubtful of me being a god?" He asked, as the people who could survive in his domain previously were so noisy and doubtful that he erased them because of irritability.

"Hm? Why should I doubt? I was supposed to be dead, and since I'm here, in this dark place, then I must be in the presence of a god. There isn't any other explanation if that isn't so." He said with a calm, cold tone.

"Oh! Okay, now let's get to the point since I know you are someone who doesn't like to chit-chat." The God said as he created a table and two chairs with two cups of tea.

Sipping on it,

he said, "I'll give you two choices since you're a little bit special. Either work for me and become a reincarnator and get a few wishes or disappear in this void." He said with a serious face as he looked toward the soul.

"Well! I don't want to die, but I also don't want to work for you for the rest of my life as my ride won't allow me to." The soul daringly said with so much confidence that the God wouldn't kill him, and even he didn't know where it came from.

"Oh! That's okay for me too. Then, you have to work for me for a trillion years, and I will free you after that." He said with a neutral expression, making it hard for anyone to guess his true intention with that face.

"Okay! I agree, but let's sign a contract as who knows might not do that when the time comes and that you won't kill me after that." The soul said as the God nodded and created a piece of paper where he wrote the condition, etc., making the contract and then both parties signed it.

"Now that's it. How about we come to the next part. You will get a pack and a roulette to spin that will decide where you'll be reincarnating."

Now that's it. How about we come to the next part. You will get a pack and a roulette to spin that will decide where you'll be reincarnating."

The God said as he wave his hand and a big roulette appeared with the name of every anime written on it from, marvel to DC to zom-100 etc.

"Okay! Then, here we gooo" the soul said in an emotionless voice making that words meaningless with the tone.

Soon, the roulette started to spin, spin and spin and it started to slowly spin making a suspence.

Then as it was about to stop at the marvel world, the soul prayed a weird mantra.

"Oh, Holy mother of God! Please just not that." He said as the roulette started to slowly run and it finally stopped in the word written pokemon.

"Yes!" The soul said with an excited face but with cold tone.

"Now that the world has been chosen, I shall heed your word to where you want to Reborn."

"I want to be near in Pallet Town." He said as the God nodded his head and then snapped his fingers causing the soul to dissipate into nothingness, and the space once again became silent as the middle-aged man disappeared, and the two huge eyes once again appeared in the place they previously were.
