Chapter 7: Offer

8 p.m.....

Aiden was sitting in the hedge next to the storage entrance. He was waiting there for 2 hours, but no one came. When he was prepared to leave, he heard a noise coming from bushes of a nearby park, which was across the road. It was a little dark, but Aiden was still able to recognize a pig head, staring at the storage door. When little pig saw that everything is clear, he ran towards the storage and jumped to the slightly open window, which was about three meters high above the ground.

[Huh.... I guess if you want to live, you will do everything.] Aiden smiled sadly and tighten his fists. He had something common with this Tepig. They both have to do things that they do not want to.

He cancelled his thoughts after hearing some noises. Aiden lifted his head and saw Tepig with a bag of Pokéfood in his mouth. Tepig looked terribly. He was very skinny and his body was covered by dirt. Aiden finally decided to get out of his shelter and went towards injured Pokémon.

"Ehmm.... Hi? "he was not sure how to start this conversation.

When Tepig heard him, he immediately dropped his bag of food and stood in battle stance. He tried to use Ember at Aiden but failed. He was too exhausted for that.

"Calm down, boy. I am not here to hurt you, I have an offer for you so listen carefully. "Aiden had a very serious expression on his face.

"You can join my team and become the strongest. You will be able to beat all Pokémon of your trainer by yourself and even him, if you would like to, or you can die there. Choice is yours.

Tepig was dumfounded by this offer. He was not expecting something like that. In fact, he thought that this human came here to punish him for his stealing, but not to offering him to join his team. He was really scared and did not trust to humans after an accident with his previous trainer, but he also did not want to continue this parody on life. This existence. Fear from the past and fear of the future were battling in him. It took him a lot of time but finally, he decided what to choose. It was a chance for better living. A chance to become stronger. A chance to revenge and he decided to take it.

Aiden saw Tepig nodding. He slowly headed towards him and took out a pokéball form his pocket. He placed it on the ground, in front of the Tepig, and started to wait.

Tepig went towards pokéball and simply tapped a button in the middle of the orb. With a red beam of light, he was sucked in it. Pokéball trembled for a few seconds and then stopped with a clicking sound.

A dead silence filled the street, but it was interrupted by a sound coming from his watches. Suddenly, holographic screen appeared in front of Aiden 's face.

"If I caught Arceus, would I be able to kill that fuc***g otaku god?! "he shouted his last words. He was trembling, his hatred towards god became even bigger.

*Sorry Aiden, but there is no Pokémon capable of even injuring the creator. *

He stayed at the same spot for a few more moments and tried to calm down himself. When he finally managed to do that, he started to think what to do next.

[Tss.... I guess, I need to go and check out Tepig and the others. Yesterday we are leaving towards Striaton City. I have 359 days till the league so I need to train my Pokémon harder.]

Aiden cancelled his thoughts and head towards the Pokécentre.

Next day....

Aiden was standing in front of the Pokécentre. He was looking at Pokéball in his right hand and thinking about the words said by Nurse Joy. She told him that trainer who abandoned Tepig was Shamus. He lost in three battles with Tepig and decided to leave him tied up to the tree.

Aiden clenched his left fist and gritted his teeth. [When I find this trainer, I will tie him up like he did with Tepig and then let my Pokémon to train their skills at him.]

He stood like that for a few more seconds and then head towards his first gym battle in Striaton City.

Alex was walking through the evening forest filled with orange and yellow colours. Sun almost disappeared behind the mountains and our hero decided to stay for night at the clearing. He pulled his pokéballs and threw them in the air. Three different creatures appeared from them.

"Guys, meet Tepig, he is a new member of our team. "

'Snivy, vi, sni. ', 'San- dile, san. 'they both came to him and greeted with a smile on their faces.

"Okay guys, you will have a chance to get to know each other better during the dinner, but now we are going to train till it.

"Snivy, how is your training with Protect? "

'Sni-vy. 'she started to concentrate an energy and after five seconds round shield appeared around her.

"Hmm...not bad but you need to reduce time of preparing the shield because your opponent will not for you. "

On the way towards Striaton City, Aiden battled with other trainers and wild Pokémon. Snivy and Sandile were doing great. They both did not lose in their battles but situation with Tepig was different. He lost in the most of his matches but he did not give up untill he won his first match.

And now our hero is standing in front of the Striaton City, where he will participate in his first gym battle. However he will go for his first badge tomorrow, today he will try to teach Tepig a new move. It will be Smokescreen. It is not hard move to learn and Tepig is not strong enough to defeat a gym leader Pokémon head on head, so he needs to attack from cover.
