3 Kanto Journey Starts
Stepping off the boat onto the docks from the over half a days travel was liberating to our protagonist and his new partner. But while on the boat they were not idle that is for sure. Everyone knows that preparation is key, in this case it meant getting a head start on training. Sorry Guy-Sensei was on a mission with his team so he is not available today... Stop crying i'm just as sad as you are.
Moving swiftly on, after getting on the boat yesterday Grayson instructed Piplup on some basic ideas on moves that he could try to learn while in the Paradise. Yes, Piplup has experienced Paradise and I'll tell you it was a struggle and a half to get him to come out of there. Along with the fact that it is after all a paradise, but also it is the perfect place to train and don't let little Piplup's stature fool you, he's a training demon.

Don't let the small number increase fool you, Piplup managed to level up just by eating, sleeping and practicing the move Bubble which Grayson asked him to do, he managed to learn the move after a couple hours of practice sandwiched between sleeping and eating. Not only the paradise itself is crazy but also more specifically the food that is given to the Pokemon when in the paradise. Luckily for Grayson he found out last night that he is able to decide whether the food is given in paradise or if he wants to take it out in the real world. That was a real problem he was thinking of before as throughout his journey people will be thinking that he starves his Pokemon when it fact they would be eating in the Poke Ball, just a situation that is better to be avoided.
Walking through the quaint Town of Pallet you would never expect that the person this whole world fights to keep alive against all odds was raised and resides here right now. Crazy. 'I wonder if he has left on his journey yet?'
This thought was interrupted by what seemed to be a green blur that rushed across his peripheral, turning his head he saw Mr Ketchup himself, sprinting towards a bridge that led to a large building with a windmill, also known as Professor Oaks Lab.
Somewhat in a daze at the sight he just witnessed he barely noticed the large group of people that just gave a large, cheery salutations to the youngest Oak, Gary.
"Well Gary is starting his journey in a car filled with cheerleaders, quite the arrogant guy but can't say anyone given the choice would turn that down" Grayson noted watching the dust settle from the cars showy exit.
Heading up the stairs that he previously saw Ash sprint up he caught a glimpse at Pikachu's first time shocking Ash. Grayson was brought out of his stupor when he heard Professor Oak.
"Shocking, isn't it"

"Ah so you're the boy Rowan mentioned, quite the eager beaver aren't you, going to a whole new region to start you journey because the League is closer. Can't say I don't commend your enthusiasm"
"Thank you for your kind words professor"
"Ah, well since you are beginning your journey in Kanto then it is only right that you get the right gear to be prepared for what you may face, and helping me with research is a bonus"
Professor Oak hands Grayson a classic Kanto Pokedex. Then not even 30 seconds within the start of his journey he was challenged to a battle. The surprising thing is that this is the challenger is Ash himself. After getting zapped a couple times by Pikachu, he seems to have reboot and got battle on the brain. First trainer he saw he went for it.
"Hey you, I'm Ash from Pallet Town and I'm going to be a Pokemon master, I challenge you to a battle"
Grayson feels a complexity of emotions, shock, joy, bewilderment etc.
"...you do understand that your Pokemon is running away from you at this very second" Grayson says as he points in the direction Pikachu has bolted, pun very much intended.
"Pikachu!!! Get back here!!!" Ash shouts running into the distance while equipping his trusty, pink rubber gloves.
"What a way to start our journey ahaha" Grayson and Piplup are talking about the exchange that happened earlier. 'Probably best to train in the forest for today and camp so I can directly skip Virdian City and head towards Virdian Forest tomorrow. No way am I getting caught up in all of Ash's bad luck of the Rocket trio, maybe further down the line but right now I would just like to establish my team and get a bit of strength to back myself since I don't have Ash's plot armour, right author god?' When he thought this an unsuspecting Metapod was struck by a bolt of lighting that seemingly came from the heavens just a few feet away from him. He saw this, then glanced at the green cocoon with swirly eyes. 'Poor Metapod, he was just a bystander' he shook his head, did a silent prayer along with Piplup who seemed to slightly catch on to what transpired, and moved on.
Grayson has a few objectives he wants to complete in the next few days, this includes adding some members to the team, getting Piplup up to a decent level so as to easily defeat Brock before he gets whisked away by Pikachus punching bag and joins a group comprised of 2 Gym leaders or I guess ex Gym Leaders? I don't know. but yeah in essence training and new buddy's. Just before Guy-Sensei releases the red vapor to show that he has youth to spare, we are all saved by the signature move of WebNovel authors.
*TIME-SKIP NO JUTSU*
'These past few days have been both exhausting and refreshing' Grayson thought as he gazed over at his current team of 3 Pokemon. These 3 Pokemon are of course our beloved Piplu-' His thought gets cut off by the buzzing sound of what sounds like more than 30 Beedrills.
*BZZZ BZZZ*
"Oh shit everyone back in your balls, we are out of this shit hole right now!" shouts our calm, wise protagonist.
After escaping that hell hole, Grayson managed to run all the way to Pewter City from a couple km deep in Virdian Forest. All the while his 'Partners' were grazing in their respected areas or gorging on their favorite food. 'What a world I live in now eh'.
And with that Grayson is past the point of no return and heads towards the Pokemon Centre and procures a room. Seems that the explanation on what happened during the *TIME-SKIP NO JUTSU* will have to wait.
