===============================

Quinn's first two tests are naturally no problem.

There were more than 20 applicants, and soon, the proctor announced the results.

They were no surprise. Whether it was a written test, a practical test or an interview, Quinn was the well-deserved number one.

Under the leadership of a teacher, Quinn came to the school's faculty and staff dormitory.

Looking at his first home in this world, Quinn finally gave another sigh of relief.

"Your scores make me think you are a genius, good job. We'll call it here today." The teacher said kindly.

Quinn nodded and watched as the other party pulled a booklet from his pocket, handing it over while saying, "This is for you. It has the basic rules of our school. Please familiarize yourself with it in advance."

Quinn naturally has no problems with this, and replies, "I will, thank you."

After saying that, the teacher left.

Quinn took a look at his room. It's not big, but compared with the student dormitory of his previous world, it can be called luxurious.

One bedroom, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom, although not big, it is without a doubt enough for a single person to live in.

Quinn got a little bit emotional. Compared with this, what kind of kennel did he live in during university!

He briefly got familiar with the layout of the room, and went to the kitchen to boil a pot of water. While waiting, he released Cramorant from the master ball.

He reached down to rub his head. Although he knew Cramorant couldn't understand it, Quinn still asked, "Are you hungry? Do you want to eat?"

Cramorant tilted his head.

The dead fish was thrown into the trash can by Quinn. Now he only had a few berries left on him. After thinking about it, he fed all the remaining berries to Cramorant.

After seeing Cramorant start eating, he picked up the booklet and started to read through it.

In this world, children who have reached the age of ten are eligible to receive their starter Pokémon from the local professor.

The Alliance will give the three region-dependent starters as an option for them to pick from. But not everyone can have this treatment. Big families don't need this chance, because they will provide the younger generation with Pokémon that are rarer than the noble starters.

(E/N -- I'm going to call the region starters the noble starters, just since it seems right.)

The children who can receive the Pokémon from the professor, except for the children of the big shots in the Alliance, most of the other families are very wealthy, and they do not worry about food and clothing, like Ash and others in the anime.

As for the civilians, there is no such opportunity. Maybe the Alliance couldn't afford it? But this is not to say that civilians cannot become trainers. The Alliance will not issue starter Pokémon for them, but they can find their own ways to obtain their starter. Although it is much more difficult, it does not hinder people's love for Pokémon and desire to become a trainer.

However, before they start their journey, the Alliance mandates a three-year school education for children starting at age 7 until they turn 10. Taking this chance to teach them some basic knowledge of Pokémon and trainers, and some general knowledge.

After graduating, if you want to become a trainer, you can directly go and start your journey. If you are not interested in this, or do not want to travel halfway, you can choose to enter a higher school to learn physics, mathematics, language and other knowledge.

And this Rustboro Elementary School is such an existence.

After simply flipping through the pamphlet, Quinn had a general idea of the situation in this world.

At the same time- the office of the teaching building. Principal Moss sat behind his desk and looked at the test questions of the recent applicants. There were more than twenty, and only Quinn got a full score.

He nodded in satisfaction. Not long after, the teacher in charge of registering new teachers walked in from outside, and he handed over the form in his hand.

Principal Moss glanced at it and was surprised, "He's only ten years old?"

Because Quinn said that he was twelve years old before, Principal Moss did not know his true age. Now, seeing his ID he was a little surprised.

The teacher hesitated before saying, "Principal, isn't he a little too young? He would have just graduated..."

Principal Moss recalled Quinn's scores, and cut off the teacher saying, "That kid is smarter than some adults."

Some children who have lost their parents do grow up earlier and become numb to the outside world. Not to mention a child who has lived in seclusion with his parents in the forest since he was a child, and has never been to the human world.

'The reason for him saying that he is twelve years old is probably because he is afraid that others will refuse to give him a job because of his age?' Thinking about it carefully, he thought this statement was very possible.

At this moment, Principal Moss wanted to know what his reclusive scholar parents taught Quinn during his days in the forest.

Principal Moss sighed and didn't intend to ask about his knowledge. He said, "Forget it, let's take a look at how well he teaches. If there's no problem, we'll hire him."

"Yes!" The teacher responded, turning around and leaving the office.

Back to Quinn, in the evening, an enthusiastic teacher came and asked him if he wanted to eat together.

Quinn glanced at the sleeping Cramorant, thought about it, and didn't wake him.

"Will the school cafeteria provide food for the teacher's Pokémon?" Quinn asked.

"Yes, but there are only some ordinary foods that can fill your stomach, nothing fancy." The male teacher replied. He followed Quinn's gaze and looked at Cramorant, very surprised, "I've never seen that Pokémon before, are you a Trainer?"

Quinn casually made something up, "It comes from the Galar region, and it is an Pokémon left to me by my parents before they passed."

This male teacher also heard about Quinn's past. The teacher looked seventeen or eighteen years old. He felt bad about bringing it up and said, "Sorry, I didn't mean to..."

Quinn looked numb, and said with a blank face: "I understand, people can't be revived after all."

(E/N -- After this originally it seems they said something that got the teacher excited? I'm not sure but I had to redo it to make it fit more...)

The male teacher laid a hand on his shoulder, starting more somber but changing to a more enthusiastic tone, "Do you still want to go to dinner? By the way, my name is Oliver Wood, but you can call me Olly!"

Quinn said with a smile, "Nice to meet you, Olly."

This person feels like one of his roommates from the university in his previous life, and his personality was also very outgoing. Heading off to the cafeteria for dinner, Quinn was introduced to many of the other teachers through Oliver.

Right before the dinner was about to evolve into a welcome ceremony, Quinn hurriedly took the packaged Pokémon food and ran back to his dormitory.

When he finally got back to his room, shutting the door- it was already dark outside.

Accompanied by a crisp noise, a bright incandescent light suddenly illuminates the entire room.

But the place where Cramorant was sleeping was already empty, and the window was open!

Quinn was afraid of where he could have gone, but he soon realized that Cramorant had gone out to catch fish in the forest this morning, and relaxed a bit.

But he did not dare to relax completely. He was worried, what if Cramorant was attacked outside? Of course, he was not worried about Cramorant, but worried about whoever attacked him.

If Cramorant's counterattack affects innocent humans or expensive things, I'm almost afraid I'll have to sell him to pay back the debt!

Fortunately, Cramorant did not worry him for too long.

Soon, it flew back from the outside with a fish in its mouth and landed on a desk in the bedroom. Seeing him back, he finally let go of his worry and relaxed.

He took out the packaged Pokémon food, sat down on the chair, and pushed it over, saying, "I got you some food!"

Cramorant tilted his head, and also spit out the dying fish in his mouth, and pushed it towards Quinn with it's beak.

"Is it for me?" Quinn said with a smile.

Cramorant's eyes and expressions were still dull and silly, and didn't answer.

Under the warm light, Quinn's heart was moved.

He thought about the evaluation of Cramorant through the [Pokémon Identification] - (You are its favorite trainer, and it loves you more than it loves itself.)

Even if Cramorant doesn't understand the human language, it doesn't forget to love it's trainer.

Even though I really enjoy editing this generally, I think I enjoy Cramorant more... On another note! The name has been switched! We have gone from Hu Yang to Quinn! I liked this the most, but thank you all for your lovely ideas (: The four chapters promised will be released tomorrow morning (whenever I wake up, really...) For now have a nice night!
