9 Chapter 8 - The Mecardimal Discussion
By 2:01 p.m., the subway train arrived at another station, and it opened up its doors. This time, Rico and Serena get off and walked through the train platform and climb up on an escalator, exiting the platform. After going through the ticket gates, the two exited the station and into the streets to their hotel, which was 4 blocks away from the station.
There they checked in and took an elevator to their floor and hotel room. By 2:26 p.m., they had arrived at their hotel room, knocking on the door a few times. Hearing them knocking, Ash interrupted his work and opened the door, only to see his friends in his doorstep.
"Hey, guys, how's your trip in this world?" he asked them with a greeting. Rico and Serena then entered in and Ash shut the door normally. After that, Ash turned around towards them and seen their shopping bags, indicating that they had done some shopping spree.
"Wow, you guys went shopping?" he commented brightly and positively. "What did you guys buy?" Putting their belongings on their beds and sat beside them, Rico and Serena told him their greatest time outside, especially the part where Rico experienced a spicy food that he could barely handle. Hearing their report, Ash chuckled a bit on their trip. "Wow, I guess you guys had learned a lot about this world. But, I am in major progress now."
Their hotel room is quite fair-sized, nice, and a bit more fancy than decent. Their room was air-conditioned, with lighting, a tiny kitchen with sink, a bathroom with shower and toilet, and a nice balcony with a nice view of the city. Their beds are one double and one single, allowing Ash and Serena sleep on the former while Rico in the latter. Other features are: multiple end tables and nightstands, a big wardrobe with smooth metal coat hangers for their clothes and belongings, a big desk with compartments and two smooth wooden chairs, a small flat screen TV, comfy, colorful, and textile mattresses, pillows, bedsheets, and blankets, a telephone for calling, a small fridge in one of the kitchen countertops, a big pearl river gray, sky blue, and sage green rug, and curtains of the similar color and design. All of this makes the room quite modern and a bit fancy.
Ash then opened the fridge to get two bottles of water and gave it to his friends, who then got refreshed by it.
"Thanks Ash," Rico thanked him. "Man, our day was great. I bought some stationery in the mall, and-"
"And I bought a nice hair bow for myself," Serena interrupted him while telling Ash about her purchase. Rico seems to be not resentful towards her, showing his trait of being patient. Serena then opened up her shopping bag and take out her purchase: a hair bow; she then show it to Ash. Ash was impressed by it, commenting, "Wow, that is lovely and pretty." Serena then put it on and asked Ash again, "What do you think?" Ash was really impressed by her bow's color.
"You looked great."
After that, Rico opened his shopping bag, take out his long sleeve polo, and showed it to Ash.
"Wow, Rico, that looks nice and cool," Ash commented positively as he was impressed by it. Seconds later, Rico changed his jacket and put on his new long sleeve polo, showing it to his friends and asked them how they think of it.
"That suits you a lot," Ash commented positively.
"Yeah," Serena added.
"That's really good," Pikachu added.
"Really awesome," Rico's Lucario responded in commentary.
"Thank you," Rico happily replied back. It was a great bonding time.
An hour later, as the air-conditioner cools the room and curtains covers the windows, the Pokémon Trainers are asleep on their beds, with Ash and Serena in one bed while Rico in a separate one. The room was darkened so they could not get disturbed by the light while sleeping. Then, at one side of the room next to the balcony door, on the floor, on the nightstand, on the chairs, and on the desk, the Pokémon mecardimals began their discussion. Pikachu, Greninja, Rayquaza, and Ash's Lycanroc are on the chairs; Rico's Lucario, Lycanroc, Empoleon, Pyroar, Luxray, and Staraptor are on the lower level of the nightstand, while Serena's team is on the floor as a group. One of the most unique and strange things is that the Flying-type Pokémon took a helicopter form, mostly a combat helicopter type, but still had their color, design, and features unchanged. Though the room was dark, the sunlight went through the small and narrow open parts where the curtains didn't cover it fully, giving them some light while having a discussion.
"So, how's your day?" Pikachu asked.
"Very good," Rico's Lucario responded back. "We had a crazy day."
"Yeah, really crazy," Delphox added.
"Like what?" Greninja asked back in response.
"Like Rico experiencing a spicy food at a restaurant," Rico's Lucario responded. "Yeah, he just got a red face when the spicy went through his mouth and tongue."
"Woah, what kind of food did he eat?" Ash's Gengar asked. As a Pokémon mecardimal, Gengar had the ability to possess people and showed their worst nightmares, while Rayquaza's is to fly in the skies. But, the abilities of the other Pokémon mecardimals are yet to be discovered.
"A food called sushi rolls with wasabi on it," Rico's Lucario responded back. They got surprised by that new kind of words.
"Sushi rolls with wasabi?" Pikachu asked in question.
"Yeah, I think they're made of something from the seas and the wasabi from some kind of plant," Rico's Lucario explained in the best way possible. Lucario and the others knew this because they heard the conversation with the chef and some noises while being in Rico's shoulder bag.
"Right, those are new to us," responded Greninja back. This follows with a short silence.
"So, when we're gonna be in battling?" Empoleon asked breaking the silence.
"Well, Ash have not yet inform us about his info," Greninja answered back, "so we have to wait until he did so." This disappoints the rest greatly.
"Seriously? I really wanted to go back in action!"
"Yeah, I missed using Hydro Pump, you know!"
"I will be using Flamethrower!"
"Yeah. Seriously?!"
"No fair!"
Greninja and Pikachu then tried to calm them down. "Come on, be patient. We don't even know what is our purpose here." This calms them down drastically.
"You're right, sorry," Rico's Lucario responded with an apology. This again follows with a short silence as the sun shines through narrowly.
"So, what do you think about this world?" Pikachu asked them breaking the silence. They then think about their comments on the world they are in.
"Well, it's a lot stranger than we thought," Luxray responded back.
"Yeah, no kidding," Rico's Lycanroc added.
"It is, but we have to learn and adapt so we could survive, okay?" Greninja responded back. The rest then agreed with what Greninja had said.
That evening, by 5:33 p.m., the Pokémon Trainers woke up and went out to a festival for a night out. All this time, Ash worn his Kalos clothes, while Serena wore her new hair bow, and Rico wore his new long sleeve polo in place of his jacket, giving them new looks. At this time between night and day, the sun was setting beautifully and the festival is in full swing, with the lights being turned on to give the festival a brighter and joyous look. Lanterns and other stuff to light up illuminate and brighten up the place beautifully. Street food and drinks are now busy and in constant profits as visitors buy from them at all times. Shows and plays are in full swing as the visitors positively watched them with attention. As the day ends, the night begins, along with the fun and colorful times that come with it. But, the encounter will happen, in a discovering, strange way.

N/A:- I really liked that the Pokémon mecardimals had their own unique abilities, more like the actual mecardimals.
