8 Chapter 7 - Passport Identity

By 1:19 p.m., they had finished eating their tasty lunch, and the chef who cooked the lunch for them gave them their bill. The bill, however, was almost the same as Rico and Serena's shopping bill. Rico and Serena then pay for their meal using their money, get up and grabbed their belongings, and left the restaurant as the chef wavered them goodbye. In the same time, Ash was ordering some food at a local restaurant for himself and his friends as supplies for their time in that world. It didn't cost him much, but Ash was able to afford it. But, outside of the restaurant, someone, who was a member of Team Black Mirror, was looking at him in suspicion. Later after that, on the way back to the hotel, Ash stopped at a convenience store to buy some bottles of water to avoid dehydration. By 2:44 p.m., he arrived at his hotel room to take some rest and do some research, especially on how to use a mecardimal.

In the meantime, Rico and Serena are riding a subway train to their street where their hotel is. The train car they were in is busy and crowdy, with people sitting and standing while holding on. Rico and Serena, in this case, are holding on a metal pole while holding their shopping bags as the train moves. Rico was doing some research on his smartphone more about the world's cuisine and way of life.

"Wow, this world offers us like everything," Serena commented delightfully to her cousin.

"Yeah, I know right," Rico agreed, "but I think we have to learn more if we wanted to remain here longer." The screen of his phone was reflecting on Rico's eyes, but the brightness of it was set to average to save power.

"Oh, that's makes sense," replied Serena. Rico then started walking through the train car to see how crowdy it was.

"How this train can get any more crowdy?" he asked to himself. Then, he accidentally bump into a boy, the same one who ate at the same restaurant where Rico and Serena had their lunch. Rico almost drop his shopping bag and its contents.

"I am so sorry!" Rico quickly apologized to him as he backs away a bit.

"Hey! Watch it!" the kid, who had a white/grayish hair, seriously told him upon turning around to see who bump into him. Rico then apologized to him once more before turning back and went back to the spot where he and Serena are.

"I say I was sorry to him, and he was already that upset?" Rico thought about the boy's attitude towards him while walking back.

"Did you see the end of the train?" Serena asked him upon seeing him returned.

"No, it's too far and crowdy," replied Rico back as he hold on to the metal pole. This follows with a short silence. Then, sitting behind them at one side, a foreigner, who was living and working in the city, asked the two kids in an appealing and modulated voice, "Hey, you two, are you two new in this city?" Upon turning around to who ask that question, Rico and Serena got mildly surprised by him.

"What is it, sir?"

"Where do you two came from?" the foreigner, wearing his grey and black hoodie, black pants, and sneakers, asked them another question. But Rico and Serena could not reveal their real identities to him, for they came from another world, or dimension.

"Check your passports, it's an important thing to know where you came from," the foreigner told them. Rico and Serena got perplexed and confused by the foreigner's saying of an object.

"Passport?"

"Yeah, it is a important object that reveals your identity and can be used to enter other countries," the foreigner explained about it. In response, Rico and Serena opened their bags and start searching for their passports, finding in almost every pocket and compartment. For the first few seconds, they found nothing, but upon searching the bottom, they felt something that is more like a booklet, covered in leather and had gold stamping on them. Then, they pulled them out and take a look of the front. It was their passports, one Japanese and one Filipino.

"Ah, yeah, those are passports," the foreigner meant. "Open them so you could take a look of your identities." Rico and Serena did so and opened them, only to see their identities and nationalities. Both got weird out by them.

"Serena, it says I'm a Filipino," Rico commented to his cousin, "and I was born in a place called Baguio City in The Philippines." It was a cover-up of his real identity.

"What? Really?" Serena responded back. "Well, mine says I'm a Japanese, and I was born in a place called Tokyo, Japan." It was another cover-up of her real identity. She and her cousin then looked at each other for a few seconds, before turning towards the foreigner and thanked him for his help.

"You're welcome, you two," the foreigner happily responded back, "make sure you keep them very safe, or you'll never enter or leave without one."

"Okay, we get it now," Serena replied back. Then, just in time, the subway train stopped at the station and the doors were opened. As other passengers get off the train, the foreigner stand up, grabbed his black and red backpack, and get off the train as Rico and Serena wavered him goodbye.

A/N:- Yeah, I liked if Rico's identity was covered with a different one. Since I'm a Filipino, I would like make him as a Filipino as well. Don't worry, I'll work out on the battle chapters. Help me with sentences and descriptions.
