5 Chapter 4 – Hotel

Third person POV

20 minutes later, their order came, and they were astonished at how they turned out to be.

"Okay, so they're grilled sandwiches..." Ash commented.

"They looked like it," Rico added.

And so, they grabbed the warm sandwiches with two hands and smelled their complex, delicious smell.

They got allured by it, so they took a bite of it.

"Woah, it is good!" Rico commented.

 "Yeah, it was," Ash added.

"I never tasted such a delicious food," Serena added.

And so, they ate the whole thing, before sipping on their glasses of water.

After that, the waiter came to give them their bill.

Ash then grabbed it to see how much they cost, only to be shocked at the total price: 4,400 won.

"Uh, what's wrong, Ash?" Rico raised a question.

Agitated, Ash looked at him and Serena. "Guys, it costed 4,400 won."

 "What?"

"Is this restaurant expensive?" Serena asked.

Ash then turned to the waiter. "Excuse me, is this place expensive?"

"No, for us Koreans, it's normal for us to pay that amount," the waiter responded with an explanation. "In our standards, it's cheap."

Realizing that they had their own standards in prices, Ash responded, "Oh, really? That's how it works?"

 "Yes."

With that, Ash gets his wallet to get some money to pay for their simple meal and placed it on the bill.

He, Rico, and Serena then stand up and grabbed their bags.

"Thank you," the waiter said to them. "Please come again."

And so, the three of them left the restaurant.

Shortly thereafter, they went to a nearby hotel that is cheap to stay there for a night or two. At the receptionist's desk, they asked for a room for three.

"Yes, we do," the receptionist responded nicely. "It has a toilet and shower, airconditioned, and free meals."

 "Okay, that'll perfect," Rico responded.

"How much per night?" Ash asked.

"That'll be 1,500 won per night. How many nights do you planned to stay?"

Because of that question, the three of them began to think about it.

After much back and forth thinking and exchanging opinions and suggestions, they said to the receptionist that they'll be staying for two days and one night.

They did that to keep their costs down since they had limited funds.

"Okay, that'll be 1,500 won, please," the receptionist replied.

And so, they paid for it, received the keys, and are now being escorted by a hotel staff member to their room, which was located at the second floor. Not long after, they arrived there, and Ash used the keys to open the door, revealing a nice room with one single bed and one double bed, among other amenities. Once Rico and his group are inside, the staff member said to them, "Please, enjoy your stay here."

 He then left the room.

With that, Rico closed the door, and he and his group put their bags on a desk and opened them so their Pokémon mecardimals would come out.
