11 Chapter 10 - Meet Team Goblin

Second day of their time in that world. At the buffet section, Ash, Rico, and Serena are having breakfast while discussing about the world's features, and their plans for the day. At the same amount of time, they began to miss out on training with their Pokémon.

"Man, guys, I missed training a lot," Rico commented in desperate and mild boredom as he eats his breakfast, which consists of a bowlful of fried rice with a mix of green peas, carrots, and corn kernels, 1 sunny side up egg, 2 pieces of bacon, and a cup of hot chocolate with small marshmallows. "I loved training a lot."

"Yeah, I know right," Ash agreed with him. His meal was consisted of fried rice with a mix of green peas, carrots, and corn kernels, 1 sunny side up egg, 1 piece of hotdog, and a cup of hot chocolate.

"Me too as well," Serena added as well in mild desperate and with a little down face. For her meal, she had three French Toasts with butter in the side, 1 sunny side up, 1 piece of bacon, and a serving of fruits. Her drink of choice is a glass of orange juice with ice. They were in bit of a down mood at a bright and pleasant morning.

Meanwhile, back at their hotel room, the Pokémon mecardimals are having a conversation on one of the beds while the room was dark and the sunlight provided them with light through the narrow open parts of the windows.

"Man today was so sunny," Rico's Lucario commented about the day.

"Yeah, so as the resuming of our training," Greninja agreed with it.

"Me too as well," Empoleon responded; it then chuckled a tiny bit.

"Yeah, we hoped we could use our Rock-type," Rico's and Ash's Lycanrocs added as well.

"Alright then, we might never know what we will be look like," Pikachu responded to them, "but we have to accept it. Alright?" The rest then agreed with Pikachu's saying.

Later, after preparing for the day, all of them and their Trainers went out to the outside world, but half an hour into their day, they decided to split up into two: Ash and his team will go and help out any person with mecardimals, while Rico, Serena, and their teams will go anywhere else and to experience the environment of the world. However, that decision will discover Rico's instincts of that world, especially on how to use a mecardimal.

By 10:20 a.m., walking at the park, Rico and Serena are at positive and peaceful states, with Lucario and Delphox on their shoulders. Rico was researching in his smartphone about the world's geography and climate, swiping and searching in the available offline contents his smartphone had. But then, he interrupted his research and sighed with a down face, "I missed training a lot."

"Yeah, but how you're gonna use us?" Lucario raised a question to him.

"I don't know," answered its Trainer back as he rise his head up, placed his smartphone in his shoulder bag, and placed his hands in his pants pocket. And suddenly, Rico felt something that is made of smooth cardboard and in small, multiple cards in one of his pockets. Feeling that, Rico pulled it out and see what he had discovered: Cards for mecardimals and for summoning them into battle. They then stopped walking and looked at it with curiosity. Rico then started flipping them and put them in behind.

"What are these?" Rico asked in surprised curiosity. He saw that they had colorful and cool designs of their Pokémon mecardimals as robots, with their names in one side and the names of their moves in the other. This way, they can recognized their Pokémon as robots in battle.

"Wow, I think that one is me," Lucario commented.

"How can you tell?" snapped Rico in calmed reaction.

"The name on the bottom right," Lucario responded back. Rico then looked at the said part, and then take back his response with, "Oh, you're right. Sorry."

"I think that'll be your Pokémon when in battle," Serena suggested.

"Oh, that makes sense at all," replied her cousin back. "I can tell because of the color and design, which is similar to you, Lucario."

"Yeah, it is," Lucario responded back. And after some moments of silence, suddenly, two kids, who were siblings, appeared in front of Rico and Serena in a cool way and, with a distance of 2.5 meters between them! Rico and Serena then looked at them quickly, and those two kids called themselves as Team Goblin, members of Black Mirror. Looking at them for a few seconds, Rico and Serena responded with a surprised look and an extended saying of "What...?" and exchanging looks at each other.

"You two, do you have any mecardimals?" one of them, named Dabby, asked the two cousins in a cool way. "Because we saw them on your shoulders."

"Huh?" answered the cousins back. They then snapped out and continued, "Oh, um, yes, we had." Then in their heads, "Is that what they were call here?"

"And what's your names then?" Dabby asked them another question.

"Oh! I'm Rico Titus," Rico introduced himself and Serena with positivity. "And this is my cousin, Serena."

"Nice to meet you two," Serena happily responded. Hearing their names, Dabby responded with a suspicion-like face, "Hmm, it seems one of you is older than the other one."

"That's because she's older than me," Rico explained about it positively.

"Yeah, she is," Lucario responded. Delphox then responded with agreement. Dabby and his sister, Dana, then got amazed by Lucario and Delphox's appearances and voices.

"Woah, that one looks cool."

"The other one looks very unique."

"Wait, you think ours are unique and cool?" Rico asked them in semi-confusion.

"Yeah, we never seen those before," answered Dabby back. This confuses the two cousins a bit, thinking, "What is he talking about?"

"So, wanna battle with us?" Dabby asked them another question in a cool way breaking the confusion.

"A battle?" Rico and Serena responded breaking their confusion.

"Yeah, you two versus me and my sister," responded Dabby in coolness.

"What? Are you serious?" Rico retorted back in shock and surprise.

"Yes," Dabby answered back. Staring at them for a few seconds, Rico and Serena exchanged looks at each other, before accepting Dabby's request without any hesitation. But they were nervous and full of fear because they do not know how to use their Pokémon mecardimals in battle. But, will they know how to do it? It will be a hard time for them.
