2 Chapter 1 - A Portal

Third person POV

Walking down the street in Pallet Town with his Pokémon and bicycle, Rico was positive as usual every day. Ash was with him because he and Rico came from their Pokémon training in the nearby forests. The weather was sunny as usual. It was a sunny afternoon, too.

  "Man, I'm learning a lot from you, Ash," Rico said to Ash. "Being a successor to you is difficult."

  "Yeah, it's not easy you know," Ash responded back. 

  "I know."

They eventually arrived at Ash's house, where Serena is waiting for them.

  "Hi, Ash," she greeted.

  "Hey, Serena," Ash greeted back.

  "Hi, Serena," Rico added.

He, Ash, and Serena then went inside.

  Not long after, Delia was serving glasses of lemonade with ice cubes to them so they could quench their thirst.

  "Thanks, mom," Ash responded as he receives one of the three cold glasses, before taking a sip.

  "Oh, thanks, Mrs. Ketchum," Rico added as he receives the second of the cold glasses.

Serena then get the last of the three glasses.

  "So, how's your day?" 

  "Fine as usual, mom," Ash responded positively. 

  "My training is good," Rico added. 

  "Okay." 

Delia then turned to Ash. "So, do you have any battles as a Champion?" 

  "Nothing so far," Ash replied back. 

  "I see."

  Later, at 5:55 p.m., Rico came home, opening the door. "I'm home." Rosario, who was reading a book, then noticed him coming home. "Welcome back, Rico. How's your day?" 

Taking off his shoes, Rico replied, "It's fine, as usual." 

Then, Jonathan, Rico's older brother, came from the kitchen and greeted, "Hey, brother, how are you?" 

  "Hi, big brother," Rico greeted back. "I'm fine." 

He then went upstairs to change into his indoor clothes. 

  Not long after, at 6:22 p.m., the Cruz family are now in the dining room eating a delicious dinner. Lucas had come home a bit early so he would cook dinner with his wife. 

  "So, what are you going to do tomorrow, Rico?" Lucas asked Rico while eating. 

Rico then looked at him. "I don't know. I think it'll be nothing but training and going around the town." 

  "Ah, okay. How about going to somewhere new?" 

  "I'm not sure about that, dad. I mean, I don't feel like participating in a Pokémon league." 

  "Okay then, just do what you can do, okay?" 

Rico then nodded. "Yes." 

He then resumed eating.

  The next morning, after his morning routine and breakfast, Rico went out to the forests with three Pokémon, Lucario, Absol, and Serperior. Along the way, he's been thinking about his life and reflecting on it. 

  "I wonder about dad's family," he thought. "He never said about them to me or big brother." 

But then, suddenly, a mysteriously portal appeared before him. 

As soon as he saw that, Rico stopped walking and was stunned to see that. "Woah, what is that portal?" 

And then, a tentacle appeared and grabbed his right leg, before pulling him into the portal. 

  "No...! Help!" Rico tried to call for help as he tried to grab the ground, but to no avail. 

Once Rico was in it, the portal closed itself up. 

  Meanwhile, Ash and Serena and their teams are at Ash's room doing their own thing when another portal appeared before them. Upon seeing that, Ash and Serena stopped what they are doing. 

  "Huh? A portal?" 

  "What is that doing here?" 

Pikachu then responded in wondering. 

But then, just like what happened to Rico, three tentacles came out and grabbed their arms. 

Alerted by it, Ash, Serena, and Pikachu tried to remove them from their arms, but to no avail. 

They got pulled into the portal along with their other Pokémon in their Poke Balls in their Pokébelts. 

Where they will be taken to?
