3 Dratini and Encounter

After a brief moment of shock Drake then deduced that the most logical place for a dratini to be would be in a body of water. Of which there were only two in Pallet Town, the sea and the river that ran through professor Oak's land straight to the sea. 'Guess I'm heading to the woods' said Drake. After running for 20 minutes and lamenting on how long it took to reach the river, he stopped for a brief moment before running alongside the river upstream towards the woods.

He chose this route because it was the most likely place a Pokémon poacher would choose to make his escape. And true enough Drake spotted a small doglike Pokémon with mostly black fur, a skull like protrusion on it's forehead, two horizontal white protrusions on it's back and an orange snout and underbelly. 'A houndour! This is definitely a poacher considering that they all have a canine like Pokémon for tracking. Luckily the breeze is blowing my scent downwind away from him otherwise I would've been spotted already.'

While hiding behind a building and peeping at the Houndour that made it's way back to it's owner, a man dressed in black gear that made him look like a bona-fide hunter he then noticed the medium sized cage next to the poacher. Inside of it he noticed the blue snakelike Pokémon, but it seemed to be asleep but the slight bruises on it's body showed that this sleep slumber was involuntary. The more Drake looked at the Dratini in  the poacher's cage the more upset he became.

After looking around and realizing that he was at the border of land that belonged to professor Oak's lab he surmised that this Dratini was the offspring of professor Oak's Dragonite. This conclusion as well as his and the poacher's location helped him formulate his rescue plan, looking again at the poacher's location he then snuck foward towards the woods, after entering he noticed that the poacher wasn't in a hurry to leave his location. Which proved that he was an amateur, a well equipped amateur but an amateur nonetheless, this all but guaranteed the chances of this rescue op.

Drake then searched his surroundings for pebbles and small boulders after accumulating some he threw a small pebble behind the poacher which drew his attention causing him to turn around, which exposed the back of his head granting Drake an opportunity to hurl a boulder at the back of the poacher's head. Which connected perfectly and thanks to his 5 points of strength knocked the poacher unconscious. Dealing with the largest variable in this situation because Drake wasn't sure if the poacher had anymore Pokémon, after hearing the sound of of something heavy falling behind it Houndour spun around and noticed it's master unconscious before him as well as a smirking child with grey eyes and dirty blonde hair.

Enraged by the child's audacity Houndour fired an ember at the child only for the child to nimbly roll out of the way with time to spare. The child then taunted the Houndour by sticking out his tongue which enraged it further which elicited a flamethrower that was barely dodged but still dodged. Lost in its rage the Houndour didn't notice the spreading fire nearby nor the long trail of smoke that gave away their location, all according to Drake's plan. But young Drake didn't account for how long it would take for help to arrive, after dodging the Houndour's rage filled attacks for 5 minutes Drake was pinned down behind a tree he was using to shield himself from the constant fire attacks aimed at him.

The increasing amounts of smoke made it harder for Drake to breathe as well as see, Houndour after hearing the sounds of coughing decided to sneak up on the annoying youth hiding in front of him but when he was almost upon him, he was hit by a stream of green foglike energy that hit that sent him flying into a tree. After unsteadily standing up Houndour spotted the awakened Dratini in the cage glaring at it, he was hit by Dratini's Dragon Breath, Dratini then proceeded to use Rain Dance to try to alleviate the heat and put out the fire. Just as Houndour was about to roast Dratini in it's cage a furious roar sounded out that shook the earth, a thirteen foot tall orange dragon landed in the middle of Houndour's line of shot, it then proceeded to use Hurricane to put out the surrounding fire and knockout the barely standing Houndour.

After looking around the orange dragon noticed a blonde haired youth peering out at it and charged a Hyper Beam to fire at the youth when the Dratini behind it cried out for it to stop as well as a relatively old voice that belonged to it's trainer that said the name 'Dragonite'. It canceled the attacked and looked at the youth curiously before literally ripping apart the cage the Dratini was in just as it's Trainer arrived, the now freed Dratini made it's way to the Dragonite and rubbed it affectionately before then making it's way to Drake to thank him for saving it's life and collapsed in Drake's lap sound asleep.

" It seems like he likes you, then again you did save it's life. So, mind telling me who you are and what you're doing alone in these woods?" Said professor Oak as he made his way to Drake and upon getting closer he noticed a small second degree burn on Drake's forearm which startled him."My name is Drake Gold and I was running along the river when I saw that man" Drake then proceeded to point at the srill unconscious poacher lying unconscious facedown with blood slowly flowing down the back of his head. " dragging this cage into the woods which is suspicious because Trainers use Pokéballs not cages so i realized he was up to no good then I heard him bragging about how he was going to use this stolen pokemon to become the greatest Poacher ever (he's lying) and while he was distracted i threw a boulder at the back of his head and knocked him out. I didn't have a plan to deal with his Pokémon but i figured if I made a large enough scene someone would come. Thanks for coming." Drake smiled innocently after saying that.

He then proceeded to ask" Who are you by the way and who is that?" He pointed at Dragonite with stars shining in his eyes,  seeing how cool and strong it was a moment ago. Totally forgetting that it almost erased him from existence. " I guess even a child as extraordinary as you is still a child. Anyways this is my trusty Dragonite he's that Dratini's father, we must thank you for your help rescui..." before professor Oak could finish his sentence Drake passed out, the adrenaline finally wore off.

" Luckily he just passed out, this obviously way more than he should be able to endure." He then proceeded to inspect the unconscious poacher and noticed that his skull was cracked he looked around and spotted the boulder Drake used it was two feet away from the poacher and he noticed it had some blood on it. He then proceeded to inspect the unconscious Houndour and noticed the damaged fur on it's side and deduced that it was hit by a Dragon Breath but it obviously didn't come from his Dragonite and after this inspection he picked up Drake and noticed that Dratini was still wrapped around Drake's unburnt arm. He summoned a Tauros from a Pokéball and placed them on it.

After a short trip professor Oak arrived at his lab and instructed one of his lab assistants to notify the Golds that he was in possession of their injured son and to come quickly. Looking at Drake again he was shocked at how Dratini seemed to be attached to him, Dragon pokemon are known for being stubborn and aloof, very few trainers could tame one it's considered a tradeoff for their immense strength. Only dragon tamers and masters could completely tame them except for rare circumstances.

After about 15 minutes Adelle Gold rushed into professor Oak's lab in tears looking for her son with only thoughts of her son being badly mangled running through her head. After being guided by the lab assistant to her son she saw him lying on the bed her steps slowed, just as the lab assistant thought she had calmed down  her sobs grew louder she rushed to Drake's bed and cried like the two inch sized burn required an amputation which shocked everyone in the room.
