21 Dive and Rare

I apologize for the delay. I had no power on Tuesday and I got my first shot of Sinopharm yesterday. It had me drowsy so I couldn't write....

" When do you plan on getting down mom. I feel actual physical pain right now, you're hugging me too tightly. " Drake said to Adelle.

Adelle sniffled and said " I'll never let go, we've been apart for too long. We'll die like this. " .

Drake sighed then said " What about Nina, are you gonna give up on her? " .

Adelle suddenly saw reason and released her son. She then mumbled to herself " I blame your father, I can't give up on one so I have to give up on both. That little bastard, I'll give him a piece of my mind. "

" Are you blaming dad for giving you a second baby?" Drake asked in complete bewilderment.

" YES! " Adelle shouted before storming off to her room. Drake heard this and said a silent prayer for his father.

Drake just shook his head and took a shower and a short nap. When he woke up his mom had somewhat calmed down so he explained that he was only home for a few days.

After barely managing to hold back her tears she said okay and made dinner. Nina was giving Eevee a tour of the house.

Eevee looked happy to be around Nina and Adelle. She was still a bit shy but she slowly opened herself up to Nina.

Drake ate then walked to the backyard and saw his Mother's Pokémon. She had three Pokémon, an Arcanine, a Ninetales and a Persian.

They were all female and also shiny. This was also one of the contributing factors to Drake's love of Shiny Pokémon.

Apparently Drake's grandmother gave Adelle a Shiny Growlithe to start her journey. Drake's grandmother was an actress in her youth much like her daughter and son-in-law.

She also started her journey with a Shiny Pokémon and caught only Shiny Pokémon. This along with her good looks and talent for acting brought her lots of fame.

Adelle followed in her mom's footsteps and now Drake is following in his mother's. Drake greeted them and petted them a bit.

Unlike his Pokémon, Adelle's Pokémon were always properly well groomed. But they were also hot tempered, just like Adelle was before she had Drake.

Drake released Sleipnir and he strutted around while looking at his environment before walking back to Drake for more grooming. He was completely narcissistic.

Drake brushed him for a bit and left him in the backyard before going inside. He cooked for Sleipnir alone and fed him before he ate and went to bed.

The next morning Drake went to Professor Oak's lab to check on his Pokémon. They were all healthy so Drake took them and returned home.

He sat in the backyard and planned his trip to Cinnabar Island. There were two treasure chests to claim.

One at the ocean floor and another at an undisclosed island. Drake plotted a course using his H.U.D and saved it.

He looked around his backyard and saw his Pokémon interacting with his mother and her Pokémon. Nina sat at the side with Eevee looking at Drake's Pokémon.

All of Drake's Pokémon were strong and ferocious, or they would grow to be so eventually. Sleipnir took a liking to Adelle because she brushed his hair a lot.

Adelle was happy her son had such strong Pokémon, Nina was happy to see this as well. She'd never admit it but she worried about him often.

She kept a brave face for their crybaby of a mother and overdrawn father. Tom was tired of acting but his family needed an income so he bore the weight.

Drake looked at the picturesque moment and decided on his next course of action. He told his family he'd be leaving tomorrow.

Adelle was about to cry again and Drake told her that he planned on returning home after he earned his eighth badge. Until it was time for the Indigo League.

Drake had a nice dinner with his family and a nice night of rest. The next morning Drake moved the items in his backpack into a waterproof bag and put on a diving suit, put his Go-Goggles on his forehead and hung the breathing device from his neck.

He was planning to swim with Andromeda to Cinnabar Island. He made his way to the pier and released Andromeda.

She swam around a bit before she resurfaced and let loose a roar. She was happy to be back in the sea, Drake pet her a bit while waiting for Professor Oak and his family to arrive.

Ten minutes later everyone was there, Professor Oak immediately inspected Andromeda after noticing her peculiarities.

He then confirmed Drake's theory that she was the child of a Gyarados and a Milotic. Adelle and Nina were just taken aback by the large Pokémon.

Drake then said goodbye to everyone before he climbed onto Andromeda's back and they took off towards Cinnabar Island.

After traveling a mile Drake had Andromeda dive below the water. This was going to be where Drake chose to train Andromeda.

Andromeda swam freely in the ocean. Drake had her fight off some attacks and attack some Pokémon. It seemed Drake underestimated his Affinity's effect and his efforts.

She obeyed his orders explicitly and without error. They made their way to the first treasure chest that was on the seafloor.

At the pace they were going at it would take 5 days to get to the first treasure chest and 3 more to the second plus an additional 2 days to get to Cinnabar Island.

The time flew by quickly and Drake was almost upon the treasure chest and Andromeda was at level 48. Drake could literally feel their bond grow stronger each day.

During the course of their first day underwater together Drake put on his gauntlets and placed all of his Key Stones in them.

After the events with Prometheus he decided to be more proactive. He could feel that the only Pokémon he had that couldn't Mega Evolve were Andromeda and Horus.

Wrath basically worshipped him and Horus was almost there. Andromeda was on the brink, she just needed one more push and she'd be ready.

The care and affection Drake showed her over the past few weeks was more than she ever felt while living on her own.

Drake looked around for a bit and finally saw the treasure chest, he also saw the guardian. Or more correctly in this case guardian"s".

There was a level 56 Mega Sharpedo along with several other Sharpedoes. They were swimming around the treasure chest like a whirlpool.

Drake was at a lost on how to retrieve the treasure. He asked Andromeda if she had any ideas and she just roared and shook Drake off.

She charged straight at her foes and used Giga Impact. Drake wasn't bothered by her shaking him off, she did it whenever she was going to use a physical move.

Andromeda charged directly at the Mega Sharpedo and attempted to use Giga Impact on it. Unfortunately the several other Sharpedoes attempted to intercept her.

She used the momentum from the attack to fend them off but she wasn't able to attack he true target. Luckily during the course of the last 5 days she managed to get her Giga Impact to lvl 12.

An eight second cooldown was incredibly useful but unfortunately the Mega Sharpedo got to her with 4 seconds to spare. It used Skull Bash against Andromeda which did significant damage.

Unfortunately for him Andromeda's Hidden Ability Moxie raises her attack for each Pokémon she KO's or kills. The previous Giga Impact knocked out over 10 Sharpedoes.

With the increased attack power Andromeda followed up with another Giga Impact which connected perfectly.

Fueled by her rage she triggered her Mega Evolution. Her length didn't change but her body shape did.

With the Mega Evolution there to provide energy Andromeda finished off the Mega Sharpedo using a final Giga Impact. He crashed into the ocean floor right next to the treasure chest.

Drake wasted no time and used a Pokéball on the Sharpedo leader. Since the Mega Stone wasn't attached to the Pokémon by equipment but rather lodged between body parts, it was left behind when Sharpedo went into the Pokéball.

The ball shook once before the capture was completed and Drake retrieved the Pokéball. Drake then opened the treasure chest and saw a fossil inside as well as the Key Stone for the Sharpedoite.

Drake scanned the fossil and saw that it was a Jaw fossil. Drake was beyond shocked, this is a fossil that is usually found in Kalos.

Which meant this fossil was either washed along the ocean floor until it got here or was placed here as a reward for him.

Drake was more inclined to believe the second option because it was the fossil of a Shiny Tyrunt. Drake stored it in his inventory and swam away with Andromeda.

Towards his next destination, the second treasure chest that was located at an unknown island.

Before you complain about Sharpedo loosing so quickly remember, Sharpedoes have lousy Defense and Special Defense values.
