8 8: bug trainer

Leo didn't catch the pikachu which he had defeated, although the liked pikachu, it wasn't what he wanted for an electric type Pokémon on his team.

Just like that, Leo and his two new Pokémon continued to train for nearly the whole day, challenging new bug type and other Pokémon in the viridian forest.

Currently Leo was setting up a huge tent to sleep in, the sound of water splashing entered his ears.

Froakie and pidgey were playing inside the small pond, they had seemed to get along pretty well.

Pidgey and Froakie were both at the max level to evolve, they were both bigger than the average of their kind.

Froakie and pidgey had both reached level 18 within this single day thanks to the countless battles.

They only just needed the right moments to evolve.

Froakie had managed to learn two new moves, quick attack, and water pulse, which were both good moves.

While pidgey had managed to learn three moves, quick attack, gust, and wing attack.

Along with sand attack, which was a basic ability.

Which were all good moves, Leo was pleased with their improvements.

"Ok guys get in the tent" Leo said as he ate some food he had got from his bag, he would have to do a lot of food buying back in the city, luckily he had pokecoins from the system.

Froakie and pidgey immediately shook the water off themselves before hopping inside the tent.

Leo locked and closed the tent before sleeping soundly with his Pokémon.

The next morning, Leo woke up earlier than his two Pokémon's.

He then freshened up next to the clean pond, it wasn't long before Froakie and pidgey also hopped out of the tent and washed up next to the pond.

After picking up the tent and placing it in his bag, Leo was planning on evolving his two Pokémon's today.

"Let's go" he said, Froakie and pidgey immediately hopped on his head and his shoulders respectfully.

Along the way, Leo managed to run into a bug catcher, dressed in a green uniform and holding a new in his hands.

"Young man, are you on your way to pewter city?" The trainer asked with a smile on his face while fixing his hat.

"Yes I am" Leo replied back casually.

"Then you must be on your way to challenge the gym leader Brock, before that, would you mind having a battle with me? I have been bored in this forest" the bug catcher said with a light laugh.

"Of course, a battle won't hurt" Leo said, he wasn't planning on letting down a battle.

"Be carefull, all of my Pokémon are really strong"

The bug catcher said before throwing up a pokeball, a metapod immediately hopped out.

"A metapod? Useless, pidgey, come out" leo said calmly as he threw up a pokeball.

Pidgey immediately flew up, its wings spreading as it flew back down.

"We wil both use two Pokémon, start" the bug trainer said excitedly, throwin this bug next away.

"Metapod, use harden" the bug catcher said, his metapod immediately used harden wihike just standing there.

"Pidgey finish this, use quick attack and then wing attack, finish it"

Pidgey immediately turned into an arrow as the air whistled, it's wings glowed as it used both moves at the same time..

Boom!!

After that short exchange, metapod was immediately sent flying next to the bug catcher before fainting.

"Damn, he fainted faster than I expected" the bug catcher said as he scratched his head.

"Hmph, you won't win this next one that easily"

"Wait" Leo said as he noticed pidgey glowing, pidgey immediately evolved into a pidgeotto, it immediately spread its wings as it flow up, growing bigger before leading out a loud screech.

"Pidge- no- pidgeotto, you evolved" Leo said as pidgeotto landed on his shoulders, it rubbed his cheeks with its head happily.

Pidgeotto was now too big, Leo even suspected that on his last evolution, Leo could definitely ride it.

"That's good then, let Froakie handle this next battle" Leo said as he made pidgeotto return to the pokeball.

"Ok, Froakie come out" Leo said.

"Butterfree come out" the bug catcher smirked.

"Froakie go all out, this butterfree isn't simple" Leo said, Froakie was now twice as big as before, which was really abnormal.
