[ POV Change ]

The air was thick with tension inside the Team Rocket lookout on New Island. The sound of the alarm echoed through the cramped space, jolting Xavier awake from his restless slumber. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and quickly rose to his feet, his heart pounding in his chest.

Xavier was a middle-aged man with short blonde hair and a scruffy beard. He wore a black uniform with the signature red "R" emblazoned on the chest, indicating his allegiance to Team Rocket. His hands trembled slightly as he made his way over to the main screen, where Green and Jigglypuff were hovering in the air.

Without hesitation, Xavier reached for his sniper rifle and aimed at Green's head. He knew that any intruder on the island was a threat to the team rocket's plans, and he was determined to eliminate them at all costs.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

Xavier spun around, his grip on the rifle tightening as he searched for the source of the interruption. But before he could react, a fist crashed into his face, knocking him out cold.

Austin looked at the screen and saw Green and Jigglypuff floating in the air.

Meanwhile, Abra, the psychic Pokémon, was floating lazily in the air. His eyes wandered around the room before settling on a small nail hole in the wall.

"Oh, shit, there it is," Abra muttered to himself.

Austin raised an eyebrow at Abra's sudden outburst.

"What's wrong, Abra?"

Abra used his psychic powers to fill the nail hole with a tissue.

"Human, I'm filling more holes than a male pornstar today," he replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Are you having a seizure or something?" Austin asked, placing a hand on Abra's head.

Abra flopped to the ground, his eyes rolling back in his head.

"Can we get pizza after this?" he groaned. "This has to be my pay for being your overworked, slave-trading tyrant."

Austin couldn't help but sweat-drop.

"Just get me there, and I'll get you your damn pizza, you drama queen," he replied, rolling his eyes.

Abra let out a satisfied sigh.

"Yeah, baby, that's what I'm talking about."

The base of the volcano was a desolate wasteland, with the ruins of a burned-down building lying in shambles at its feet. Team Rocket had been excavating the debris for some time, but all work had stopped when Rhydon rushed towards an inflated Jigglypuff and blasted it away. A team rocket member shouted for the thief to give up, but to everyone's surprise, a voice called out, "Ok, fine I give."

Green, the infamous Pokémon thief, walked out of the trees with her hands up. The Team Rocket member smirked as he approached her, asking, "So, tell me, who sent you here?"

"Mister, I was just lost. Would you please show me the way?" Green asked, her voice laced with innocence, and her hands clasped beneath her chest, making it bounce up and down. The Team Rocket member couldn't help but gulp at the sight, but before he could respond, Green pulled down her shirt, revealing two Pokéballs in place of her chest, which opened up to reveal a Wartortle and a Nidoran.

Without a moment's hesitation, Wartortle crashed a brick break on the team rocket member's head, while Rhydon stood in shock at the sudden turn of events. However, before it could process anything, a hyper beam from Jiggly crashed into its body.

Green let out a sigh and turned her attention toward the giant pile of rubble and ruins in front of her. She placed her hand on a giant piece of concrete and tried to remove it, but it was too heavy. Her Pokémon came to her aid, and together they slowly but surely removed the piece of concrete. The sound of concrete hitting the ground echoed loudly, and a dust cloud built up all around them.

Green coughed a few times before looking around at everything else. "So, do you plan to remove all of this?" a voice called out. Green turned to see Austin and Yellow standing there. Austin had a cigarette in his mouth, while Yellow had a tray of potato donuts. Lucario and Pikachu were enjoying their donuts with chocolate and ketchup on top.

"Leave!" Green screamed before picking up another piece of concrete.

"This is a waste of time," Austin said, causing Green to look back at him and scream out in frustration.

" Then what do you suggest I do? My father is buried there, waiting for me to come to save him..." Tears followed down Green's face as her voice cracked.

"Green, are you sure this is the right place? I mean, how do you know for sure?" Austin asked cautiously, trying not to upset her.

Green froze, her eyes suddenly welling up with tears before, Green's emotions boiled over, and she began hitting the concrete with all her might. She screamed out her frustration, asking why she had to suffer so much, why she had to lose everything she had ever known.

Austin caught her bleeding hand as she cried, pulling her close to him as she tried to regain control of her breathing.

"I don't know for sure, okay?" she cried. "But I have to try. Ever since I escaped that madman, I didn't have a home. My Home and My family were all gone when I tried to find them. This is the only clue that I have to find them. I can't just sit around and do nothing while my father is out there somewhere, waiting for me to save him."

Green struggled to pick up before Austin and Yellow's hands joined in to help.

As the stone crashed into the ground, Green looked at Austin and Yellow who smiled.

"If you are so adamant about finding your father, then we'd like to help," Austin said.

Green was taken aback by their offer, but she quickly composed herself and asked, "Why?"

Yellow hugged her tightly and said, "Because that's what friends are for. We help each other when we need it."

Tears started to well up in Green's eyes, but she pushed them back, determined not to show any weakness.

"I'm not going to pay you for this," she said, trying to put on a brave front.

"I know you're not going to pay us, Green," Austin said, a mischievous glint in his eye. "But that's okay. We wouldn't want the IRS coming after us for taking your stolen money."

Green rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but laugh at Austin's joke.

"Oi, love birds, I found something beneath this rubble," Lucario shouted from a distance, causing Green to jump in surprise.

Yellow blushed at Lucario's comment, while Austin asked, "What did you find?"

"I found a room hidden underneath," Lucario said, pointing toward a giant pile of debris.

Austin put his hand on Green's shoulder, who looked ecstatic at the news. "Green, if this is your father, are you sure you're ready to meet him?" he asked in a serious tone, still haunted by the memory of holding onto Raticate's corpse.

Green took a deep breath and nodded. She knew that this was her chance to find out what had happened to her father.

Yellow released all her Pokémon alongside Austin, ready to help Green uncover the hidden room. "Guys, we need to start removing all of this. Are you ready?!" Austin shouted out, taking charge of everyone.

Green looked at his back, admiring his leadership skills. "He's amazing sometimes, isn't he?" Yellow said, noticing Green's admiration.

Green nodded absentmindedly, lost in thought. She couldn't help but feel grateful for her friends' support. "Please don't be mad at him for what he said before. Out of all of us, he knows what it's like to lose someone close, and he didn't want you to go through the pain," Yellow said, trying to reassure Green.

" Is this why he is after team rocket ?"

" Yeah."

[ Omake Paragraph ]

For all the regret that the fate of the Kabutops has brought, it does no good to forget this world's history, or to sanitize it so that it can be reduced to a simple tale of Man vs. Nature, casting Man as the villain. Indeed, Kabutops was blood drinkers: this was their primary way of feeding, as indeed it had been for the past 300 million years. It is true that on occasion, they would kill and drink the blood of human children who wandered away from civilization, but Kabutops was not the only predatory pokemon to kill humans, and wiping out the Zubat and the diseases they spread would have saved countless more human lives. And perhaps it was true that in the old days, they had been humanity's rivals, for a fear of Kabutops is reflected in most human mythologies.

It is also true that the human campaign to exterminate them was an absolute travesty, one which, with modern fossil revival technology, we are only now beginning to undo. Kabuto larvae were murdered in their caves, Kabutops ripped from pokeballs, and trainers who resist killed with them; the atrocities need little elaboration. Many environmentalists fought back, and others hid them in their homes. In time, their brutality became their own worst enemy, xenocide led to rebellion and then to war, and those who decreed it were murdered by a brigade of Kabutops trainers, and humans and pokemon alike partook of their blood in a victory feast.

But although many breeding pairs survived, it was too late. The remaining Kabutops faced a population bottleneck, and despite their larva becoming prestigious samurai helmets, they were wiped out in a couple of centuries by an epidemic disease to which the inbred survivors had no resistance
