Synopsis

The beginning always starts with an end. While I'm still not entirely sure how my previous life ended, I'm excited to begin a new and exciting adventure in the world of monsters and explore the boundless possibilities it holds. To be fair, I got my start at a school in the Kanto area that has a longstanding reputation for producing top-tier trainers. And this was the place which became my first stepping stone as I will march toward the world of limitless possibilities.

Chapter 1New world.

Back in the shadowed, silent room!

A young man sat up in bed as the Magneton tone blared from his alarm clock. He tapped the device and slowly opened his eyes. He did some light stretching, glanced at the time, and smiled in a silly way.

"Another fantastic day at school." He muttered as he walked down to his bed to get ready for some cold baths that would wake him up from his dream world and prepare him for reality.

"Good morning, Rotom." The closed smartphone on the table side blinked and opened with those words.

"Good morning, to you, master." Nostin joked that he just can't get used to this kind of thing, since it's unheard of on Earth, and it responded that he, too, is not used to it.

Nonetheless, artificial intelligence (AI)-based products have begun to flood the market.

So, most of you did not get the gist of the situation right, plus those who have not read the synopsis must be confused at the moment.

Though there was nothing new in this background, Nostin had the impression that he had died on earth for some reason he couldn't recall. As a result, he met the higher-ups and was sent into this world.

In contrast, at that very moment, the owner of this body was eroding under the weight of a massive fever with nobody in his room doing anything to help.

Even though his mother had a number of servants, including a butler and a number of housemaids, none of them came to rescue him. They took what was thought to be a spying orphan into their home.

The only person who believed in him was his mother, and she shared all of her research with him, but since Nostin wasn't a spy, he didn't feel obligated to share the information with anyone else.

As other family members stopped calling him spy, Nostin continued to be bullied by them because they couldn't swallow their pride.

Nostin's mom was so angry that she pushed her kids out of the way and dragged him away after she returned home to find him unconscious and close to death in the middle of the night.

After that, she severed all ties with them as she began to take better care of Nostin, but she had no idea that her child had already died and a new soul had taken over this body.

"Ring...Ring...Ring." Nostin walked out quickly as he picked up his call from his mother, who always calls to know about his health.

"Hello, mom." He picked it up and talked with her for 10 to 12 minutes, which made the other side a little relieved as she cut off her call, given she was really busy at the moment.

Nostin, too, felt it was time for some exercise and jogged out of the six-story-high building where he had rented the top floor.

Since he was not good at striking up conversations with strangers or making new friends, he rarely interacted with the other people who lived or worked in the building outside of his workouts.

But today, he made the decision to talk with others for sure.

But when Nostin got back to his apartment, he realized that just saying it out loud wasn't going to change anything.

"I don't understand why it's so hard to do this." He has been dwelling on the fact that, despite his best efforts, he has been unable to communicate with anyone in his class, making him an outcast even among his male classmates.

He thought for a while, "All the students in my classroom will be roughly my age, so maybe I can hold a conversation with them," and then made up his mind.

But there was one person he talked to quite often, and he wasn't shocked to find out that she lived in the apartment building next to his and was a young woman, going by a nickname that is widely known at his school.

That's the first reason Nostin avoided her and tried to avoid talking to her, and the second reason is psychological: he couldn't picture himself next to her.

"Her light is too intense for a creature of the night like me." A simple excuse Nostin made for restraining his mind from running amok with wild and fruitless imagination.

When he finally returned to his apartment after jogging around the neighborhood, he opened the door to find his room in disarray. "Pi, come out now; it is time for some breakfast."

After Nostin shook his head and yelled out the name, a yellow flash appeared and sped toward him at an incredible rate of speed.

"Pi...Pichu." Nostin's mom bought him this little guy after he decided to become a school partner, and he'd been training him ever since. As a result of Nostin's care and training, the little guy's speed and strength have only increased since then.

The little guy narrowly avoided colliding with Nostin and instead, while stumbling on his shoulder, kicked the door shut. "Well controlled, quick attack, little guy." Praising the little guy Nostin tapped its little head.

"Pi...Pichu." Smiling chubbily, the little guy nodded as he gulped down his poke food. Given that Nostin was nearly finished with his modest investigation of the PokeDiet, a compoundic food he was developing, he spent a lot of time walking around and sitting at his desk.

"Analysis." Nostin looked at the solution he took out of the fridge. He muttered a word, and a blue light screen appeared on his retina and started to scan the material he was holding.

"Analysis Complete; Congratulations, Host, on Completing the System Test Module."

"Once the host completes the test, all data and system existence from other players will be completely removed, leaving you as the system's sole heir."

Nostin's face finally broke into a smile after a long time, because he still felt happy about coming to this world and being happy with himself. "Yes!" He was on the verge of jumping up, but instead Pichu sniffed and licked the Monster Cube.

The little guy was frightened by the sudden surge of energy, but he managed to keep it to himself when Nostin patted her on the head. "Eat it; this is something I was working on for you." He handed the cube to Pichu, who ate it eagerly and quickly, causing her cheeks to puff out from the amount of food she was swallowing.
