56 Journey The Jungle

As at this time, it was exactly the middle of the night where there was the presence of the deep darkness.

The street light which have been serving as the light for us to see since the havoc started was suddenly starting to go off and the moment it went off completely, I would not see a thing but I kept walking anyway.

My mind sauntered to the thought of what happened earlier on, if I had been killed? If he didn't pardon me and just pull the trigger on my face? That was how I would have been dead?

I grew more upset immediately. I remembered Chidi left me alone. Didn't I deserve the same treatment as the other gangs? Weren't they suppose to risk their lives and carry me away?

"The only thing he could do was to leave me alone. In the midst of danger he walked away on me. Did he think I will forget what happened today?" The question I kept asking myself aloud as I kept walking alone in the darkness.
