2 Chapter 1- Invitation

Ava's POV

I heard a knock on the door. My parents stopped arguing and was completely silent. I cracked my door so I could hear what was going on. "Livy, what are you doing here?" I heard her snicker. "I'm not here for you I'm here for Ava." I heard her footsteps and saw her shadow come towards my room. "Ava I know your there. Can I come in?" I opened the door and saw how different she looked. She used to have a short bob, but now her hair is long and has bangs.

I cleared my throat and began to speak. "I thought you weren't going to come back here." She opened the closet door and grabbed a handful of my clothes. "What are you doing?" She kept ignoring and putting more clothes in a plastic bag. I grabbed Olivias hand and stopped her from moving. "What is going on?" She looked at me. "Look Ava, you cant keep living here, in this environment. The stuff that dad does, you could die from it. So your coming with me." I furrowed my eyebrows. "You want me to move in with you and your boy toy?" She shook her head. "No, I got an apartment, I got the money for it and you can move in with me, so you don't have to deal with this anymore."

I mean it would be good to get away from here. The troubles that I have went through. Has been too much for me, mentally and emotionally. "But the one thing is, were not the only ones living here, there's a few boys that are living there with us, but they have their own rooms." So the boys that were outside were her roommates? Well if we were sharing a room it would be a different story. But it is better than staying in this hellhole. "I guess I can go with you. But what about mom and dad?" She scoffed.

"What about them? They don't care about us Ava they never did. We are old enough to make our own decisions anyway. So come on, we can get the rest of your stuff later." I grabbed some of the important things that I needed and put them in a bag.

We both walked downstairs, and saw dad laid out on the couch, and mom at the kitchen table, with her head down. She looked stoned. We walked outside and saw five guys sitting on the porch, continuing to smoke cigarettes. "This is my sister Ava, she will be moving with me, so don't think about doing anything to her." I furrowed my eyebrows. What does she mean by that?

One of them walked up to me and kissed my hand. "Well it is nice to meet you miss Ava, I'm Nate. Your knight and shining armor." I wanted to roll my eyes, but I didn't want to give off a wrong  impression on them. "Nate what did I just say. Sorry he is the jokester of the group." I nodded and cleared my throat. "It's fine, I'm Ava, nice to meet you." I looked over to my right and saw a guy that wore a black hoodie and it was dark so it was hard to see his face. My thoughts were interrupted when Olivia started speaking up again. "Well we can all introduce ourselves when get to the apartment." I heard Nate say something under his breath. "Bossy witch." I chuckled. He does seem to be funny. We started walking down the street and saw a apartment complex. We walked into it.

Before we got in Olivia stopped which caused everyone to groan. "Just so you guys know, me and Ava are sharing

a room so try anything funny. She opened the door. We walked into the living room, it looked decent, and it smelled nice. I don't know I guess, when I thought of a bunch of guys living here, it would smell like socks. That's when I saw Olivias boyfriend laid out on the couch laying on his stomach, while some cartoon was playing on the TV. One of the boys walked up to him and slapped his butt. He jerked up and smacked the boy across the face. "What the hell is your problem Cole?" So his name is Cole. "What? You looked comfortable."

He rolled his eyes and noticed me. "What is she doing here?" Olivia rolled her eyes.

"Did you forget I was saving her from the devils incarnate?" He shrugged. "Well Ava have fun staying here with a bunch of hormonal men." I raised my eyebrows, while Olivia hit his shoulder. "Anyways, let's get to know everyone shall we?" We walked into the kitchen, there were cups and whiskey bottles everywhere on the counter. "Sorry, we had a party last night." One of the guys spoke up. "You shouldn't apologize for something that you started."

She rolled her eyes and walked beside him and put her arm around his arm. "This is my favorite, Martin. Don't let his attitude get to you." He scoffed. "Yeah I am just heavily sarcastic." I chuckled. "I'm Ava, nice to know that about you." He scoffed. "Well you welcome." He walked off into the living room.

Olivia sighed heavily and sat on top of the counter. "Don't worry, you'll get used to it here." I leaned against the counter and looked down. "So, you left with Liam and he brought you here?" She sighed and ran her hand through her hair. "Look what happened between me and mom. Did you really think that I was going to stay there? Liam was the only one left, and he led me here. We're not together anymore, but he is a good friend, and with you being here with me, you can make friends too."

"Why didn't you take me with you when you first left?" She looked guilty. "I was waiting for the right moment to do it. I wanted to know that I had a good place to stay so you and me would be safe together and I know that we are safe here. These guys are okay." I nodded. She walked up to me, she looked like she was about to cry. "But I'm so glad that I found them, because I want you to be somewhere where you can be yourself and not be scared all the time. I know as a big sister that I have to take care of you." She came up and hugged me. I hugged her back.

We haven't had the best relationship, when she left with Liam. I was mad at her and angry that she left me behind. When I saw her at school I never once acknowledged her, knowing that she did me that way. But I guess I understand now. She was only doing it to protect me. "Anyways, let me show you our room." I followed behind to the hallway where all the bedrooms were at. She opened the door and saw two beds at each corner. It was a big bedroom.

"This is your bed, and don't worry. We have our own bathroom." She walked over to the bathroom door and showed me where I could put all of my stuff. "We can buy you blankets and stuff, you can decorate your side and make yourself feel at home. We can go back and get yourself once mom leaves tomorrow alright?" I nodded. We heard a knock on the door and saw the boy with black hoodie. "We're getting Taco Bell." He closed the door behind himself before she could say anything. "God, I hate him." I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What did he do?" She snickered. "It's not what he did, it's what he doesn't do. He is literally the definition of a loner, but Liam says that he is a good guy. He just has a hard time talking to people. Says he has trust issues. His name is David. But everyone calls him Dave." I nodded and played with my zipper. "What do you wanna do? You wanna go into the kitchen?" I nodded shyly. We both got up and walked into the hallway. I saw a door creaked open. "Liv, I left something in the bedroom." She nodded and continued walking. I walked to the room and saw that no one was in there. I looked around and saw a electric guitar, a easel and a bunch of cigars laying around. I wonder who's bedroom this is.

A deep voice rumbled through the room making me turn around startled. "What the hell are you doing in here?"
