6 Chapter 4

Jeez, I posted this a little bit ago and I already have nearly 700 reads, almost triple what I get on Wattpad holy cow.

Nikki smiles upon seeing the male, walking over and grabs an onion from the fridge, beginning to cut it as well. She smiles, noticing a little note from Sydney on the side of her station. The note told her to not get worked up over stuff, and to work things out with others. Nikki giggled a little at this, and muttered something about the irony of the situation.

As they worked, Nikki began to question the male, "Well Ash, how has my girl been doing?" Ash appeared to tense up, replying quietly "Sydney has been alright.." Nikki smiled at this, continuing to chop vegetables and set them in the pan. Once the vegetables were chopped, they began to wash and cook rice.

After a while of cooking, the period finally ended and Nikki cleaned up her station, and told Ash to keep watch on Aika. Then they split their different ways, Nikki looking for Sydney, and Ash looking for Aika. After a little while of looking, Nikki found Sydney, quickly walking up behind her and hugging her while she gathered her stuff.

         Sydney turns around, hugging Nikki and wiggling free to grab her stuff. She looks up at Nikki, smiling and telling her "I can't hang out today sadly, I have to practice my flute, but I will hang out with you this weekend!" Nikki smiles, nodding an ok and watching her walk away.

After about three hours, Nikki exits the school, and heads toward Sydney's house. When she gets there, she finds Sydney asleep with her flute in hand, and music sheets surrounding her. Nikki quickly snaps a photo and then begins to walk home, but hears a soft thud and the crumpling of paper before she can get away. She watches quietly, but stays out of Sydney's line of sight.

Sydney stands up off the floor, yawning, "I'm ok! I'm not injured!" She then flops back on the bed, asleep. Nikki smiles at this, takes another photo, and then head back to her own house, setting her gathered stuff for today on her shrine, and getting ready for bed.
