13 Registered Adventurer!

After taking in the view of the people gathering here, Fred walks towards the front desk.

"Hello good morning. How may I help you?" the staff greeted him with a professional smile,

"Hello, I'm here today to register as an adventurer," Fred stated his purpose for coming here today.

"Please bring out the documents," said the staff as he started typing on his computer.

Fred grabs a copy of his birth certificate, a national ID, and a few other documents from his backpack and placed it on the counter.

The staff glance at it and picked it, he scans it with his eyes for a bit before placing it back on the counter and he started typing very fast.

Fred just watches him without uttering anything, the staff did not say anything so he doesn't know what he's supposed to do. Maybe that means for him to wait so he waits.

After a couple of minutes, the staff printed something and handed it to Fred,

"Read this contract, Sir. Then sign on it after, if you agree to all that is written in it."

Fred took it and saw that it is an agreement, there are rules and regulations written on it like, 'Don't cause any problem to the society', 'No fighting between adventurers unless on an official match', 'Killing humans is prohibited', etc.

There are also the benefits of becoming an adventurer like being to carry weapons out in the open, being able to accept quests, discounts on purchases depending on the rank, etc.

Fred read it with all his focus, looking at every detail of it.

After reading it a few times, he doesn't see any problem for him and signed it before handing it back to the staff.

"Here it is,"

"Thank you, wait for a minute." replied the staff before he turns around and going somewhere.

Exactly a minute later, the staff came back with a small rectangular object. He passed it to Fred and said, "Here is your adventurer's ID, this will be your proof that you're a registered adventurer."

Fred looks at it excitedly and he hurriedly grabs it from the hands of the staff. Then he suddenly felt that he acted rudely by grabbing it. He looks at the staff, embarrassed, smiling shyly.

But it seems like the staff is neither offended nor bothered with it, he even has this understanding look as if he knows why Fred acted like that.

Anyway, since the staff was not annoyed by it, Fred look at the card in his hands, it is color silver and looks heavy but it's light, he doesn't know what kind of material it was made of.

Then while Fred was inspecting the ID card, the staff spoke, "To complete your registration, please drop a little bit of blood on the card. You can use that side of the card with a silver line to cut a bit of skin."

Fred was stunned by that,

Is this also like those from the fantasy novels? Where it will become bound to me or something!?

Excitement rushed through his body once again, without any hesitation, Fred swiped the card on his index finger causing a slit to open up and a little blood to come out.

The blood from his fingers flow towards the card and it got absorbed into it. It shined for a bit before dying down without. Then a small green circle appeared on the corner upper left part of the card.

"The green circle that appeared is the symbol of your current rank which is E-rank. Every time you rank up, the color will change." Said the staff who saw Fred looking at the green circle.

Then, he also started telling Fred about some basic things, like the color for every rank which are,

Green is for E-rankers.

Purple for D-rank.

Blue for C-rank.

Bronze for B-rank.

Silver for A-rank.

Gold for S-rank.

"You can raise your rank by killing monsters and doing quests from the guild. It will automatically rise if you gathered the needed experience from killing monsters."

He explained that every time you kill a monster, it's essences will divide into two which are magic stones that can be harvested from the body of the monster, and the other is something that can't be seen with the naked eyes, something called, as soul energy but also known as EXP like on the games.

After a few more things got explained to Fred, the staff finished with the basics for the beginners.

"That is all, I hope that you learned a few things from my explanation. If you need help again, just ask for any person on duty. Have a great day." said the staff politely.

"Thank you very much, that helps a lot. Have a great day as well." Then he turns around, about to leave when he remembers the other reason for coming here.

"Is there anything I can help you more on, sir?" asked the staff?

"Uhm... Where can I go for selling products that I got from the dungeon?"

"You can either sell it to the booth that is just outside of every dungeon or here in the City Hall. Another option is to sell it to a customer yourself."

"Then I would like to sell some things here!" Fred pulled out the two vials from inside his bag. It was from his inventory but he moved it to his bag to hide his inventory.

He placed it down on the counter for the staff to have a look.

He looks at it for a while and said, "hm...hm... 2 vials of low-grade Physical Strengthening potion. We will buy this for USD 5,000 each. So that would be a total of $10,000 USD." he looks at Fred and asked for confirmation, "Will you be selling this sir?"

Fred was stunned at the quoted price by the staff, compared to what he got yesterday by selling those magic stones, this is a huge rise!

Fred nodded his head like a chicken "Yes, yes, I'm selling that."

"Will it be cash or should we send it to your bank account sir?"

Fred thought about it for a second before answering, "Hmm... I will take it on cash"

He decided to just bring it in cash because he can just put all the money inside his inventory and he felt safer with that.

"Ok, sir. Wait for a minute." the staff left once again, going through the door behind him.

After a minute he came back with some cash on hand. He gave it to Fred, "Here sir, USD 10000. Thanks for the transaction."

After taking the money, Fred his thanks and also his goodbye before leaving the place.

Outside the City Hall, there are still a lot of people coming and going through this place and it looks like it might become crowded so Fred immediately called for a taxi.

His next destination is the mall!

First, he will have some lunch as it is already near noon. Then as he is doing that, he will start vlogging.

Fred stepped out of the taxi then he walks to the mall where a lot of people are also gathering just like usual. As he walks, he took out his camera from inside his backpack and turn it on.

He started the recording and faced the camera to him.

"Aaaannnd Hello! Welcome back to another vlog! Today we will just be chilling and going through the mall! As for what we will....." He continued talking as he entered the mall. Talking to a camera. Although he looks crazy, people did not look at him weirdly, that is because being a vlogger is a professional job.

Fred's mouth keeps firing words after words, it seems like he never gets tired of speaking, and words just come to him.

"So, first let's find a good place to eat!"

He searches through the mall for a place to eat until he finds a good one that he fancies!

He lined up and waited for his turn, he was waiting patiently when he saw someone lining up beside him.

They both look at each others' eyes and they can see the surprise that they both felt.

The person that Fred saw is also holding a camera as if also doing a vlog.

That person is non-other than the one that saved Fred on the beach, Eliza!

""Ooh!"" exclaimed the two of them.

Seeing that they have the same reaction, they paused, they started laughing. The people around them look at the two with strange eyes, maybe judging the relationship between the two. Well, what can we do, that's just how humans are.

Fred stop laughing and greeted Eliza with a smile, "Hello Miss Eliza!"

Eliza also stop her giggling and greeted, "Yes, Hello to you, Mr. Fred. How are you now?"

"Well, I'm feeling great now, much much better than even before that floating on the ocean haha," said Fred while laughing.

"Is that so? that's good then!"

"You, how about you? How have you been? Are you also a vlogger?"

The two started having some conversation about trivial stuff. They continued that until it is their turn to order.

After ordering a few foods, the two decided to just eat at one table cause they at least know each other.

The two are in their own world even though they are just sitting at one table, they are both catering to their viewers. Showing what they are eating and introducing it to them

This is what vlogging is like to some, just going from place to place to have a taste of what they can offer, or maybe just them doing their daily stuff.

After 30 minutes or so, they both finish eating they know that this is the time for them to separate ways, so they were both going to say goodbye.

*Shatter!*

But before they even have a chance, the sound of glass shattering sounded from just behind Eliza and also the screams of the other people at the restaurant.

""AHHHHHH!""

There are voices of people panicking all over the place.

Eliza doesn't know what is happening because it came from behind her, but Fred, who is sitting opposite her saw what happened.

He can't help but question then, "Why is there a monster here!?"
