36 Gathering

After chatting with Prince for a while, Fred got to know the "Prince" of this world.

There are no other changes other than their company already being in the international market.

Because of that, Prince's father decided that it was time already for Prince to get to know the workings of the company. Resulting in him having less time to hang out with Fred.

After catching up for a bit, the two have a certain understanding of what happened to each other the past two weeks.

Fred told Prince about him registering as an adventurer and him vlogging inside the dungeons.

Even though he told him about those things, he never mentioned any things about his powers or anything related to it.

Then as they were talking, Prince caught a glance at the watch on Fred's wrist.

A surprise look appeared on his face,

"Fred, is that "Black Sky" on your wrist?"

Prince asked while looking intently at the watch.

Prince's voice is not really that quite so his question was heard by the other.

"Hmm?"

They all turned their heads to look at the watch and someone exclaimed.

"Oh my god, it's really the black sky!" exclaimed someone who looks like a bookworm.

"Black sky? What is that?" Asked a man besides the 'bookworm'.

When he heard the question, the bookworm's eyes looked at the man with a look that seemed to say "ignorant fool!".

"Black sky is a watch designed by the most outstanding designer in the world, Peter Root!" He said and looked around him, feeling proud that he knows a lot of things.

Then he continued, "That's not all, did you know that it was made using monster materials by none other than the best blacksmith right now, Ben Smith!"

""Woah!""

Everyone exclaimed in unison as they looked at Fred's wrist with hot eyes.

Fred looked at the fascinating black watch on his wrist and did not know anything about what the bookworm is talking about. But based on the reaction of the people around, it sounds like it's a big deal!

In this world where monsters now run rampant, production class also pop up here and there just like a blacksmith.

This is not just a simple blacksmith, but a blacksmith who got blessings that is related to producing weapons making their craft have special attributes and power.

Besides blacksmith, there's also the profession like Alchemist, Jeweler, Enhancer, etc.

With that, you night be able to deduce how big of a deal it is to make a watch like this, this is top luxury!

Prince's voice then sounded again, "Fred? Is that really Black Sky?"

Fred looked at Prince and replied, "Yeah, I just bought it this morning." Then he hesitated before asking, "But, this watch only cost $100,000 is it really that special?"

It's not that Fred is treating $100,000 like it's nothing, but he knows that there are watches that cost more than this one on his wrist.

Hearing what Fred asked, Prince look him shocked, then he turn to the watch emotionally,

"You might not know this, but you really hit the jackpot this time. Last week it was announced that Black Sky will be on sale and it will be just one of its kind, because of that the way they sold this is quite special"

"The creators of Black Sky, Peter Root and Ben Smith, the two of them said that they will randomly choose a store to place Black Sky where it will be sold. The price will be only at $100,000 so that many have the chance to get it."

"Then finally, they said that the one who will get it will have the chance to meet them and asked Ben Smith to make him a weapon of his choosing."

After he finished saying all of those, Prince sigh sadly, it can't be helped, it's a very big opportunity that he did not get.

"Sigh… Man, I'm really jealous of you Fred you know? But since you're my best friend, I'll congratulate you!" He said while sighing, even though he's sad, he also feels happy for his friend.

Fred have a look of contemplation for a bit before he ask something that's bothering him,

"But, why are they doing things like this though? Is there any benefit to them or something?"

Confusion is visible in the voice of Fred as he asks.

Prince was about to answer his question when the voice of Alyssa was heard at the front and interrupted him.

"Everyone listen," she paused, when she saw that she got the attention of everyone she continued, "Today we friends are here to gather and have fun, so do not mind about anything, talk with each other, socialize, and have fun."

With those words, it signaled the start of the gathering.

Food on the food cart was pushed inside the room by the hotel staff.

Many people went to Fred to talk with him asking him about the things he does now.

Fred entertained them for a bit before excusing himself and heading out.

He went to the parking lot and sat down beside his car.

After thinking for a bit, he decided to leave early.

Originally he wanted to brag to the people about what he has now, and try acting like a prick.

But after thinking about it and being here now, he lost the energy to do all those. He also thought that it doesn't have a purpose and it might just cause hate to gather around him.

After Fred decided to leave, he messaged Alyssa and Prince that he'll be going home first as he doesn't really like gathering like this.

He did not wait for them to reply, he started his car and left the place.

Back to the venue, a few people saw Fred driving a car and leaving.

"Isn't that Fred?"

"Hmm… yeah it looks like Fred."

"Why is he leaving immediately though? We're just getting started."

"Well, I don't know as well."

Those people talk as they look at the trail of the car.

A distance away, Alyssa is looking at her phone, after reading the message, her face looks downcast.

But she fixed it in a second as if it never appeared on her face.

She smiled and started to talk with the others as well.
