17 Our Dying Home

Torn apart its skies be riven,

I pray it be unmitigated.

Shatter across my precatious mind,

these war and more have nothing but bereft.

I hear the silent prayers to keep their families safe

while we destroy this world in which kept us safe.

And now they ask for forgiveness for their sakes,

shall we forget all that we have taken.

Thee Earth so wild and courageous.

It strength unrivaled past many year.

Now weak and seeming contagious,

for death shall come.

And war could divide the divided nations,

no love is found in these countries seen.

A map only shows the divided states,

I wish to see Earth as not a puzzle.

Look around this empty land,

to the left there was forest; now is ash

to the right there was an ocean; now a drought.

Look around at this empty land we created.

This plentiful graden we call Earth is in dangerous.

Its creations now toppling to its core.

We take and take more and more,

please, I beg thee all to care.

See this anquish and hear my cry

this Earth cannot survive in this torture.

If death is all we can contribute

then shall death rid us from destroying our home.
