CHAPTER 12: LEVELED UP

Juan had no idea that a rich tycoon had set her eyes on her store as she was busy doing some chores at home. She even cooked this rice and some vegetables and went to see her parents.

She had not cooked for them for ages, so she wanted them to have some food that they have not cooked while working.

When Pearle and Randall saw their daughter, they were all smiles. They were surprised to see her holding packed lunches but they felt warm in their hearts.

They cooked for a living but receiving packed lunches from their daughter really made their day. Those that were waiting for their food couldn’t help but look at this scene in a bewildered manner.

Why would anyone bring food to a food stall? But the parties involved didn’t even care about any of them.

Juanita then returned home after that. As she was chilling in the living room watching T.V she decided to check her store inbox and see whether someone had placed an order.

When she saw that an order had been made even though it was only for one bag but that was progressing. Juanita was so happy; she immediately contacted the buyer.

[Hello, sorry for getting back to you late. Can you please send me your address?]

Juanita was shaking as she waited, it wasn’t that she was afraid that she will be duped as the system was fair and just. The second that Juan accepts the order; the payment will be taken from the buyer.

Juan waited for like ten minutes before she received the reply.

[You took your time; this is not how one runs a business!]

Juan was speechless when she read this but she understood that the other was angry since she replied a bit late, so she let the other person’s words not affect her much.

[I am sorry; I was doing something.]

The other person didn’t reply for like a minute and when she did, the address came in and a funny message.

[If your rice is not worth your price, I will make you close your store!]

Juanita laughed by herself, finding this person very funny. It was as if this customer was throwing a tantrum and Juan didn’t mind this at all.

[Okay, you can do whatever you want but if you like it, don’t forget to order more rice in the future.]

Juan said that and went offline. She took out a sack of rice and put it in a plastic bag and went outside. The address of the parcel was a bit far but she was thankful that the charges were borne by the customer.

After sending off the parcel, she went back to her house humming a tune and feeling very jovial. When she was home, she heard another notification that nearly drove her crazy.

[Congratulations, the farm has leveled up to 1.]

What better news would pass this one? She had not found anything exotic yet and yet the farm upgraded just like that. She couldn’t wait to find what was in store for her.

After entering the farm, she looked at the place in awe. The hut was still there as well as everything else. It was just that she now could plant another crop apart from the rice.

Her low level limited her to do many things. For example, she didn’t want to just plant rice but because she had not unlocked a new crop, she couldn’t plant anything else but now she could do that.

Even though the pieces of land remained two, a new crop, the tomato had been added but she could choose to plant it or just ignore it and plant something else as long as she buys the seeds from the store.

The tomato seeds were free for the first planting but after that, she needed to pay. The same went for other crops she was looking at in the farm store. The amount was just hilarious but for her future, she will grit her teeth and buy more.

What made her so joyful about this upgrade was the gem she received. She learned that the gems can be used to purchase useful things for the host even though the items were not listed but still blacked out.

She sighed but her heart wasn’t calm at all. As long as she keeps on earning and upgrading, she will have more gems and be able to buy whatever she needed. She wondered whether she will be able to get rid of these scars without having surgery.

Surgery was the last thing she wanted. She didn’t want to be a plastic person but wanted to be natural but that was already impossible but if this farm gives her something like that, won’t her problems be solved?

Something was interesting in the store and it was the background of her living space. Even though she couldn’t change anything now, as long as she levels up to 2, she will be able to purchase some cool backgrounds as long as she can afford them.

She didn’t want something fancy and expensive; her family was just small and having a big house wasn’t ideal for her. So, she decided to purchase a bachelor’s pad as that was cheaper than other houses.

In the future when she earns more coins, she was going to buy something bigger and grander. After dealing with the farm store, she took out some rice from the barn and put them on sale.

Her barn was too small and she needed some space to fill in with other things. She harvested the rice once more and planted the tomatoes. She didn’t know how long it was going to take this time but it didn’t matter.

As long as the crops were mature, she will receive a notification so she had nothing to worry about at all.

She logged into her Baobab store and sent her customer a message, notifying her about the parcel she sent and how long it was going before the client received the parcel.

She received a reply and logged out of her account. She still has many things to do and also prepares everyone’s dinner.
