Update 4

I'm so sorry it's not a new chapter. But! BUT! It's something just as interesting. During my hiatus, I was pretty tempted to hand the reins over to my friend "Angel." She was the inspiration for Wang Fang and was aware of it. In fact, she supported it. However, our writing styles were quite different. If I were to hand Please Smile Again over to "Angel," she would rewrite the past and future chapters. For one thing, Bai Min would've been a hell lot more unstable. She was rewriting the first chapter when I told her that I wanted to pick it up again. Here's her work:

'Two years.' These were the repeating words within Bai Min's head. These unassuming words slowly chipped away her sanity, constantly reminding her of the past.

'What…' Bai Min took a deep breath, 'Has led to this? 'She deserved this, she was well aware of that fact. But why, was another taking the blame? She did not know the answer to such a question.

But she wanted to know, she wanted to know why such a person would be confined to bed in her place. She felt like a criminal framing a hero. So she decided to relieve herself of the guilt. She'd forget it, she'd forget everything. The guilt, the sorrow, the blame.

...

That was two years ago.

Bai Min is still finding the answer to the question she asked herself two years ago. But along with that, she wanted to know the memories missing from her mind.

'Maybe Li Wei could help me'

As Bai Min was picking up her phone to call Li Wei, she encountered some flashes. She decided to ignore them. 'They're probably not important.'

She happily hummed to herself while ignoring the painful chipping from the words 'Two years.'

She commended herself for being clever and wondered why she had not asked Li Wei sooner. But she was unable to find his phone number in her contacts. After scrolling around on her contacts for a while, Bai Min finally gave up and decided to look around in her notes.

'Hmm, 2/19/xx16. Li Wei is killed.' Bai Min scrolled on, 'What the-. Li Wei? Dead?'

She turned her head towards the calendar in the corner of her room, 'Wha, 2/14/xx18!?' Bai Min was horrified. She'd forgotten today was Valentine's day!!

Instantly forgetting the matter about Li Wei's death, she scrolled through her contacts once again. This time to find a certain number. The Flower Boutique.

'This is more important. Li Wei's already waited two years, he can wait a bit more.'

Bai Min called many services dedicated to Valentines and made large orders of chocolate and flowers. She had a large grin on her face as she skipped across the room, phone in hand.

Bai Min's secretary, Shi Sheng, walked in on her prancing around with an odd expression, "....."

Shi Sheng sweated nervously as she tried to decide whether or not she should interrupt Bai Min's celebration. (;¬_¬)

"A-ahem…" Shi Sheng coughed awkwardly.

Bai Min turned over to see her secretary standing at the door. Σ(-`Д´-ノ;)ノ

"...." She immediately straightened up and casually brushed her clothes, "What is it?"

"There's a meeting you have to attend," Shi Sheng was still unable to get the image of her boss acting so childish out of her mind.

"Alright. Thank you, Si Meng," Bai Min flashed an elegant smile in Shi Sheng's direction.

'...that would've been so much cooler if you actually remembered my name, boss.' Shi Sheng bowed and briskly escaped from Bai Min.

And that was all she had! Well... whatcha think? Who do you prefer?
