22 Chapter 22: The Wishes and A Night Together!

All that night, both of them were enjoying watching the firework together. For a moment, they were alone together and they feel comfortable with each other. Sometimes, they secretly take a glance at each other and smiling.

At that time, I really feel warm to have him beside me. I can't even express how happier I feel at that time. When I'm solemnly looking at the sparks, I can feel him staring at me. My heart becomes beating faster again and again. I have to stop this feeling! I need to talk to him to ignore this feeling.

''Really??'' I was surprised and at the same time, I was feeling happy because that's mean, I'm the first person who is watching this together with him.

''Do you like the fireworks?''

''Yes. Because my mum likes fireworks too. My dad told that he always accompanies my mum before whenever she wants to watch it. I wish that I can watch it together with her too...'' I suddenly feel sad when I remembered my mum.

''What?? Are you serious? I mean...dont you mind if you include in my wishes?''

I was touched by his words and I don't expect that he will say like that. I dont think that he will want to watch it again with me. What should I reply to him?

After that, both of them were going back. Along the way, Lilian keeps asking Brent to help her to tell her dad about where they going. She keeps talking to him about all the things and also asks him to cover him up. She worried that her dad will angry at her.

After a few hours, they arrived at her house. Brent actually wants to say something to her but she just keeps talking and worried about her dad and he cants even take a chance to speak to her.

She quickly comes out of the car and slowly moves forward into her house. But, she feels strange to see her house is still in the dark and the light still off. Did dad still not returned from work yet? She thought.

When she wants to unlock the gate, Brent suddenly calls her from the car. She wondering what he wants to say. He asks her to check her phone for a while. When she takes out her phone, her phone was off and the battery has run out.

''Ugh! I forgot that my phone was running out. Senior, do you have a phone charger?''

''I have. But I can't give it to you because it was at my home. Can you come inside for a while?''

''It's okay, I just go inside. Senior, you may leave first. Thank you for the ride!''

''Lilian, you have to come with me. Your dad has sent a message to me.'' He said and give his phone to her.

After reading the messages, she was startled. Her dad just told her that he will not come back tonight and he asks her to stay in Brent's house for a night. She was frozen there for a second. She didnt knows what she should do.

She knows that her dad has worried for her safety and he asks her to stay a night at Brent's house for a night only. She was speechless. She takes a look at his face and he just staring at her.

However, she actually feels a little afraid. Even though she was comfortable with him...but, to stay together with him in his house alone was make her heart feel more afraid. She didnt know if he will doing anything toward her and...!

''Lilian? Why are you looking at me like that? Are you okay?''

''Err...can I just stay at my home?''

''Sure, you can. But, your dad has given me a responsibility to take care of you. I just dont want to disobey him. After all, I'm worried too that maybe something happens to you like before.''

''Uh? You...worry about me?''

''Yes. Anything problems?''

''No.''

''Or...are you scared of me? Are you worry that I will take advantage of you?'' He suddenly leans closer toward her face. She was startled.

''No. I-I...I...just...I can take care of myself...''

He chuckling. Then, he just started his car and going to his house. Lilian just sitting there and she can't even do anything. After a few minutes, they have arrived at his house. She just follows from his back and going inside to his house with a heavy heart.

At the same time, she was thinking for a while. She wondering why her dad easily asks for help from Brent. She knows that they are just campus mates but...she is curious too why her dad asks him to take care of her. Did they have any relationship? Did my dad know his parents for a long time? She thought.

All of a sudden, an old woman with a hair bun has appeared. Lilian was startled and she quickly hides at Brent's back. Actually, she was really scared because she can't clearly see her face because the light was dark.

''Senior...who is she...''

He opens the light and now she clearly can see her face. ''Young Master...I'm sorry. I forget to switch on the light.''

''It's okay. I am used to it, but not for this girl.''

''Who is she, young master? Who did you bring?'' The old lady asks with a stern face. She observing her with her fierce eyes.

''She is my friend. She had to stay here for a night only.''

The old lady just smiling. Lilian replied to her smiles awkwardly. She can feel that the old lady was observing her from head until down. Without realizing it, she actually was grip Brent's shirt tightly from the back.

He just smirked when he realized her doing that. Then, he whispering toward her. ''I thought you scared of me. But, it turns out that you don't want to part from me right now...''

She was startled and she quickly let it go. But, she was still confused and puzzled at that time. ''Senior...''

''Oh, let me introduce you. This is Madam Maisie. Or, you can call her old lady. She is the one who takes care of me and also all the things in my house here.''

''Oh...Hi! I am Lilian Casey. Just call me Lilian.'' She said and smiles. She finally feels at ease after know about her.

Then, there were a few men has come toward them. She was surprised to see them also. After saw a few people in that house, Lilian finally feel relief. It turns out that he does not live alone here but there were a few people with him. She thought.

''Is that your bodyguard? Like your house bodyguard?''

''Kind of.'' He said and chuckles.

''I see. No wonder you hired some of them because this house is really big! I didnt realize that my uncle has this big house.''

''So...are you feel at ease right now?''

''Uh? What?''

''I think...a few minutes before, you hesitate to come here and you look a little scared. But now, when I look at you, you look comfortable.''

''Err...did I? I...I just don't want to bother you at first. I'm worried that I may be disturbing your privacy or...''

He smirked and said, ''Old lady, please show to her the guest room.''

After she left, Brent just smirked. He just smiling to see her behaviors like that. Afterward, he hurriedly went to his room. He actually has something to do that night.
