3 Chapter 3

Xuan Feng Ye woke up and noticed that his body was completely fine now, so he felt glad, as he was to leave the town to go hunt monsters today. He checked his Virtual Clock and found it was already 8 am, so he slept for about 12 hours, which was pretty long.

He got off the bed and found he was still wearing the crappy beginner clothes and remembered about his black clothes he got for the true bonus package, so he opened his Inventory and brought them out.

They really were just black clothes. A black shirt, black pants, black underwear, a black overcoat and black boots, a completely black outfit. It felt weird, but it was still plenty better than his current clothing, so he quickly changed and threw the beginner clothes into his Inventory for now.

He felt really hungry, which reminds him he hasn't eaten in many days, so he opens the door and leaves his little room. He looks around briefly and found stairs that lead downstairs, so he goes down them and exits the building when he saw the door.

He looked around for a while before he found an Inn, so he went in and ordered food from them. He got a soup, a salad, some vegetables and a sandwich, as well as a cup of weird juice. He quickly ate and payed 200 Gil before leaving the Inn and wandering around.

He entered the Marketplace of the town and looked around for a while. He was going to go out and hunt monsters in a bit, so he needs to make some preparations, at least. He looks around and spotted a few useful things.

He bought 5 Health Potions for 500 Gil, and 5 Mana Potions for 1000 Gil, leaving him with 3400 Gil. He bought some bandages and medicine that should be useful as well, leaving 2800 Gil at the end of it. He was about to leave the Marketplace when he spotted something else.

'I should probably buy food as well, huh. I shouldn't come back to the town often, as it is too risky with my Fallen Angel identity.'

He bought enough meat and vegetables to last him for 2 weeks with 2500 Gil and put it all into his Inventory, leaving him with 300 Gil. He looked at his crappy dagger and decided to buy a better one for his remaining 300 Gil.

[Common Dagger(1): A dagger that is commonly used between normal people, and sometimes new hunters. Good enough to kill most weak monsters. 130/130 durability.]

Now he is completely broke, but he doesn't mind. Rather, he is glad he is broke, since that means he bought enough stuff to help him for a while without needing to come back to town anytime soon. Although it is safe right now, who can say it would be in the future?

By the time he left the town, it was already 10 am, so he spent 2 hours doing everything. He felt it was quick enough, so he didn't mind much. He is pretty glad that every 'Player' was given a Virtual Map, since it can help him find places.

Although it didn't show people or monsters on it, it's already useful enough that it can lead him to forests and civilizations, if he needs to find his way somewhere. Like this, he easily made his way to a forest where beginners at the 'game' would go to.

Very quickly he found a monster after entering, even if it is just a rabbit. The rabbit apparently didn't notice him, so this makes it easier. He held up his hand and pointed it at the rabbit while whispering the chant, and a few seconds later 3 black arrows shot out of his hand, heading towards the rabbit.

The rabbit only noticed something was wrong when the arrows were about to pierce it's body, so it couldn't dodge. All three arrows buried themselves in the body of the rabbit, and it fell onto the ground. He didn't know if it died or until a screen popped up.

'10 experience, huh. So I just need to kill 10 rabbits to level up once, but my mana would be out by then. Well, they shouldn't be that strong, so I could kill them with my dagger most of the time.'

He passed by the rabbit before stopping beside it. He nearly forgot that he can sell the horn for Gil, so he quickly cut the horn off and put it in his Inventory before wondering around again.

Over the next 4 hours, he found another 7 rabbits, earning him another 7 horns and 70 experience. He killed 3 with his dagger, and found they were pretty easy to kill, so he was glad. He needed 20 experience to level up, so he kept wondering around.

He found another monster about an hour later, it was just this time it wasn't a rabbit. Rather, it was a spider that was about half the size of him. He felt pretty disgusted by looking at it, so he shot Dark Arrows at it. Although all 3 hit it's body, it actually wasn't dead, which surprised him.

Although it wasn't dead, it was basically there, so he walked over and stabbed his dagger into it's head, which then finally killed it. He could of waited until it bled to death, but that would take too long for him.

'30 experience, huh. Three rabbits worth, that's nice. Hm, lets put these 2 Stat Points into Strength, since I can't use magic that often yet.'

He hunted more monsters for the next 3 hours, and it was dark by now. He could head back to the town in about an hour or two, but he found no reason to. He looked around and then climbed up a thick tree, laying himself on a branch. He decided to check his Status now, as well.

He has nearly enough experience to level up again, which he found to be pretty quick. It was only 3 hours since he leveled up last, so he is wondering why it is so easy to level up. Is it because it is not a game now? He fell asleep while wondering about this.

He woke up due to suddenly hearing rustling in the bushes below his tree, so he quickly looked down and saw it was just a rabbit, which caused him to let out a sigh of relief. He was about to jump down and kill the rabbit when something pounced in it from the bushes.

The rabbit had teeth sink into it's body, which killed it almost instantly. Xuan Feng Ye was given a start and looked at the wolf that suddenly pounced on the rabbit. He felt glad he was a bit slower, or else, wouldn't he be the one pounced on?

He held his breath and waited for the wolf to leave, as he knows he can't fight it currently. Sadly, the wolf already found him. It looked up at Xuan Feng Ye and let out a howl, causing his head to hurt and made him dizzy.

He fell off the tree due to the sudden dizziness, and the wolf was getting ready to pounce at him. The wolf jumped at him just before he fell to the ground, and Xuan Feng Ye reacted on instinct and stabbed his dagger towards the wolf.

The wolf quite obviously didn't expect this to happen and since it couldn't turn in midair, it got it's head pierced through by Xuan Feng Ye's dagger. He fell to the ground in a daze and only snapped out of it a few seconds later, looking towards the dead wolf as he did.

'Why did my body move on it's own? I thought I was going to die there!'

He patted his throbbing chest and calmed himself down shortly after. He still felt shocked that he nearly died like that, and if it wasn't for his body suddenly moving on it's own, he wouldn't be alive and would be wolf food instead.

His experience jumped up to 130 from that, leaving him close to leveling up. He stared at the dead wolf for a few moments before he stood up and cut off both of it's fangs, placing them into his Inventory before leaving the spot.

He managed to completely calm himself down by this time, so he quickly left the spot just in case there is any other wolf nearby. Luckily, he didn't run into any other wolves, so he figured that one was a scavenger or a hunter.

He walked around for a while before he found a spider, so he simply shot his Dark Arrows at it and killed it easily like that. This time he made sure to aim near the head, since it kills them faster than the body.

He cut off a spider part and put it into his Inventory before looking at his Status. He decided to put both Stat Points into Strength again, since it seems to work fine enough right now.

He felt his strength is high enough now, so he would leave it at 8 for now and focus on raising his other stats, as just raising one or two stats isn't good and could cause him to be weak in many areas, which is pretty similar to the game in that aspect.

For the next 8 hours, Xuan Feng Ye wandered around the forest area and killed every rabbit and spider he saw, while hiding from the wolves he saw, as he is still not strong enough to kill them yet. Eventually, he managed to level up again.

He rubbed his injured arm for a while before cutting a part of the spiders body off and placing it into his Inventory before he put both Stat Points into Dexterity, as he reacts too slowly for his liking.

He looked at the Virtual Clock and saw it was already 7 pm, so he walked around for another hour, killing two more rabbits. By the time it hit 8, he had climbed up another large tree and was looking at his Status.

He felt a bit annoyed since this was the first time he lost health since he got into this world. He only lost health since he was a bit cocky at killing a lot of monsters, which caused him to get injured on his left arm, which caused him to curse at his own stupidity.

He shook his head and let out a sigh, laying down on a thick tree branch. He is a bit surprised that the trees in the forest can hold his body without breaking, even if the branches are thick. He shrugged and closed his eyes, falling asleep pretty quickly.
