Self Doubt

Kazumi wakes to find Yuki at his bedside with bandages on her arms seeing her injuries makes him feel guilty so he leaves, He eventually comes upon a lake which he sits and stares out into the distance.

"I thought I'd find you here." Said Masami.

"Oh hey."

"I used to come here when I needed to think."

"I burned her didn't i."

"You mean you don't remember?"

"I remember everything up until I called his name then I went into a fit of rage and that's the last thing I remember,..... What if I hurt someone else what if I hurt you?"

"Well actually you can't hurt me my powers are ice based remember?, Plus my power can heal as well as attack."

Masami's face gets serious.

"You know she doesn't blame you."

"She doesn't?"

"In fact even with her injuries she carried you the entire time and watched over you without rest until daybreak when she passed out."

Kazumi and Masami head back to the summer home at that same time Yuki wakes up to find Kazumi nowhere in sight.

"Hey Masami can you look at something for me?"

"Sure step into my room."

Kazumi lifts his shirt showing a wound that he received during his fight that had been seared stopping the bleeding.

"Do you think you can heal this?"

" I can give it a try lie down."

Masami places her hand on Kazumi's chest then a thin layer of ice appears than disappears as if melting into his skin and his wounds heal.

"Wow that's amazing it healed almost instantly."

"Actually it usually takes longer the more serious the injury the longer it takes the ice to melt but I guess since your power is fire it melts the ice faster."

"Well as long as you're here I guess I don't need to worry about my injuries."

"Then I guess I should be your personal nurse."

Kazumi's face turns red as she gets closer to him.

"Hey um, maybe I should go."

"Your no fun ….…ok see you later."

Kazumi leaves and doesn't notice Yuki in the hall who decides to follow him.

"Hey Kazumi."

Kazumi stops but doesn't turn around.

"Would you mind walking with me into town?"

Kazumi who still feels guilty responds.

"Hey Yuki if we ever go home I think I should move out also I think it would be better for me to keep my distance from you or maybe it would be better if you just went home and forgot about me."

Kazumi turns around and sees tears streaming down her face he tries to say something but she runs away.

"Yuki wait!"

Kazumi runs after Yuki until she falls on her way out of the house.

"Don't leave! ,We used to be together all the time but as we got older you started spending less and less time with me but then when you came to stay with me I was so happy but then Masami came and I was so scared…. scared that I might lose you to her and I'd never see you again so please just don't...…"

Kazumi holds Yuki gently, interrupting her.

"I'm not going ok I won't leave you if you don't want me to I just wanted to keep you safe."

Harutora appears with the others interrupting Kazumi and Yuki which embarrasses the both of them and they playoff the interaction.

"Hey guys they have a hot spring."

"let's go I could totally use a dip." Said Masami.

"Sure I need to relax." Said Kazumi.

Kazumi, Takada, & Harutora sit in the spring with the girls on the other side divided by a wall.

"Ah this is the life. Says Takada.

"Yep sure is and just think without our powers we would have never met and times like this wouldn't be possible." Says Harutora.

"I guess but we have Been in a lot of trouble because of them too." Says Kazumi.

"Well it's not like everyone's lives so we're so easy" Said Takada.

"Speak for yourself my life was pretty good i mean sure I was a bit of a delinquent and I didn't take my father's teachings seriously at first but when he passed ....scratch that when he was murdered I had to step up and try to follow in my father's footsteps as far as self-discipline goes which led me to protect Hinata but sometimes I think of what would have happened if I didn't say anything or if I didn't do anything would Hinata's father have lived."

Hinata hears this on this on the other side and sinks into the water.

"I understand i wasn't really a model son you see my father took his job as guard really seriously he put it above everything... including his family one day I said something I shouldn't have and I don't know if it was the stress or what I said but he passed soon after and I've regretted it ever since so to atone I took up the mantle of guardian and trained day and night for three years until I got where i am now I just couldn't understand what kinda man would put his job before his family but since I took over and even more so now after seeing the power for myself I think I get it."

"Man it's getting cold and water can get only so hot...….. unless."

Harutora looks at Kazumi.

On the other side of the wall.

"You know i won't lose to you." Says Yuki.

"Bring it on he may have known you longer but he will be mine."

Yuki sinks in the water with Hinata.

The girls hear a commotion on the boy's side.

"Kazumi don't listen to what he's saying." Says Takada.

"Get away." Says Kazumi

The girls all crowd around the wall to hear them better.

"You know you want to see the girls on the other side splashing around and stuff." Says Harutora.

Kazumi's flames ignite heating the water forcing the guys to jump out ,They then decide to change and just when the guys have gotten their pants on the girls walk in wearing their towels their skin pink from the heat of the spring ,The girls leave once dressed along with Kazumi and Takada , Harutora however was stuck because Masami froze his legs together.

"Masami…. Guys…. somebody."

Back at the house.

"You guys should be lucky I was able to get out otherwise."

"Otherwise what you'd cut us maybe next time you'll think twice when trying to do something pervy." Says Masami.

The phone rings.

"Hello." Says Masami.

" Good your safe look i'll make this quick Samaki Inc. is tracking you through your phone Masami."

"How?"

"Well i sorta put a tracking device on it but that's not important look you guys need to go and leave your phone there meet me at that coffee shop by the house."

"Okay but we are talking about this later."

Later at the shop.

"We're leaving Japan, look we have already established that you guys have powers like Masami so it's best if we stay together but we have to get as far away as possible for the time being so in exactly 5 hours we will all be on a plane headed for England i have a buddy who transferred over their a few years back."

"This is so sudden." Says Masami.

"I've already made the arrangements and since Yuki's parents are always away on business we have nothing to worry about."

At Samaki Inc.

"We've have been keeping tabs on Officer Saito since the incident in the city, however credit card transactions and his phone calls seem to be the only viable way to track him"

At Samaki manor.

"It is done everything is going according to plan master Samaki."

"I've told you a million times just call me Nagato."

The next day.

"So we're really leaving japan good bye mom good bye yuzu."

Kazumi says his good byes to his still comatose mother and sister and everyone heads for the private plane.

"The captain pulled a few strings and got us access to the police departments jet."

At Samaki manor.

"It appears our friends are leaving ,Send the information to all of relic users under my jurisdiction."

"Everyone even those two?"

"Especially those two Kanaki Kurakai the wolf of the yakuza and Aria Amano of the demon warriors ... hmm [Including me we have four relic users to their three looks like the time is coming sooner than i thought .....wait for me guys i'm coming]."
