Prologue

I stared up mindlessly at the clock, preoccupied in thought, Wondering, 'When I can step foot out of this bedroom.' A long, exaggerated sigh escaped my lip as I felt my eyes droop from boredom being caged in this room.

"Arman, Tell me, how many minutes lefts till I leave this god-forsaken room?" I tiredly murmured to my maid as I repositioned myself on the cold, stone mattresses. I stretched my arm out and grabbed a thin purple cloth blanket, I put the thin cloth on my body as an attempt to keep me warm against the cool and harsh temperature of the blue laser.

"Unfortunately, you've still got fifteen minutes, Your Highness." She responded as looked around the room observing every detail of it.

"Pardon me for asking, Your Highness, but why did The King send you here to the freeze chambers?" She asked me as she made her way to the open window, shutting it making me feel less chilly than before.

I repositioned myself on the cold, stone mattress to look at my maid, "Father sent me here because.... of our religion. He thinks that by putting someone in a situation where you could possibly die, you'd become immune to it." I answered her, "But, personally I believe that's rubbish and quite stupid."

Silence dwindled in the air as the conversation came to an end. The silence was awkward because no one dared questioned the king's beliefs.

"Yet, Queen Eleanor, allows this?" My maid asked as she repositioned the curtains of the window. She nettle made it so that the gray curtains were on top one another.

"She's blinded by the love of my father, Arman. She adores and cares for my siblings and I every possible way, but it's my father that blinds her." I answered her as I closed my eyes, an image of my mother flashed before shut lids.

"Times up, Your Highness, you may now leave. Make sure to send Lady Greshyt." She called out to me as I was halfway through the door.

I made my way down the long, narrow castle hall, Turning left to make my way to the F.C Reception. "Lady Greshyt-–" I bowed to the young maiden, "Your presence has now been requested at the F.C Front." She nodded and bowed at my presence as well.

"Princess DeStorm, You've grown." I turned around at the sound of my named being called, it was Prince Cole Ekon from the the Air Kingdom, Zephyrinus Arrius. His snow white hair was side swept to the right on the top of his head, acting like spikes. Eyes of the color of charcoal, a light trace of purple twinkling in them. Skin the color of an off-white paint. Pink slender, but plump lips. His body well fit and maintained, a young maidens dream.

I plastered a soft smile on my lips, "Prince Ekon-–" I bowed, "Now how many time have I told you to call me, Ivy?" I asked him raising a brow and looking at him taking in his new features.

He chuckled, "More times that I can count, Princess De—-" I shot him a glare, daring him to continue on. "— Ivy."

I shook my head and smiled, "So, Prince Ekon, you've aged.." I told him as we both sat down at the F.C Reception seats.

"Handsomely, i hope!" We both laughed at his comment, I nodded at his response.

"You've grown tremendously, Princess Ivy. The years treated you beautifully." He complimented me as a light smile made it's way to my face.

"Thank you, Prince Ekon." I answered, a smile still on my face. "Tell me, what have you been doing during these years?" I asked him curiously.

"Well, I've been sharpening my skills on the sword and bow because My father, King Audra, had been wanting me to compete in the Grand Games of Mastery." He explained as he raised his hand, signaling for a cup of water. A servant got it ready and handed it him and me.

"Ah yes, I remember you telling me when we were kins." I told him as I took a sip of water, he ordered for me.

"You were there for the games, correct?" He asked me.

"I wasn't sadly, The time of the Grand Games of Mastery was also the time of Zora Faven's Two-hundred and Seventy Anniversary of becoming a nation." I told him as I twirled the clear liquid inside my cup.

He nodded, "Well, I won the Grand Games of Mastery. The prize was Metal Vassal Equip." He smiled with pride at his accomplishment on winning the games for the first time.

My brow shot up in surprise, "A Metal Vassal Equip?" I questioned him, looking at his display of swords hang off his belt around his waist, trying to figure out the equip sword. He seemed to know what I was trying to find and pulled a sheathed dagger that hanged from his waist belt. The chain that was holding the dagger was gold unlike the others that were a silver or a red. The dagger was encased in a tree-stump color brown with a symbol of a sword, wrapped around it was snakes. On top of the animal were angel wings.

I pointed to the symbol, "What's the meaning of it?" I asked the prince.

"The symbol means commerce." He shortly answered and placed his empty cup in the trash.

"Well then, enough about me, I want to hear more about you, Princess Ivy." He told me while grasping my right gloved hand. His thumb softly going over my knuckles, relaxing them.

"Well, My county, Zora Faven, has expanded it trading routes as far as the Kingdom of Sun. Whilst expanding the routes, My parents allowed me to explore the routes they've gained. I saw so many beautiful, native, and lushes animals and tropical food. It was magical to see these things, but to step away from the castle and get away from royal responsibility." I told him as I closed my eyes, relishing back to the kingdoms I visited and seeing how they lived.

Prince Ekon let out a sigh, "I understand how you feel, Princess. Holding so many responsibilities on your shoulders since the day you were born, I feel you." He then go of my hand and repositioned himself in the waiting chair. "Beside political and the adventures we've had, have you had any potential suitors you like, Princess?" He asked me, his coal eyes twinkling with an emotion I couldn't decipher.

"I have." I said dreamily as I thought back to the man that recently came here.

His long, black hair side swept to the right side of his forehead. Eyes the color of a clear river, a hint of enchanting teal encased in them. Mocha colored skin, and pink plumped lips. His body was fit and desirable, The feeling of wanting soured through my veins as I daydreamed about the devilishly handsome young man.

"Princess?" Prince Elon's voice snapped me out of my dazed state, "Well this guy must be something in order for you to daydream about him?" His eyebrows raised, a light chuckle exiting his lips.

I felt blood rush to my cheeks and the tips of my ears, "He's just everything I've ever desired in a man." I told him as I throw my empty cup into the trash can.

The prince smiled, knowing well of who it was. "I'll be at the wedding, Bye Princess." He said whilst exiting his seat and heading towards the reception doors.

I was flustered and tongue tied by the comment, but managed to let out the words. "Bye Prince Ekon."
